Chapter 1
Nolan could feel a headache forming as he stared at the list of expenses his girlfriend’s mother handed to him.
”$2,000 for the engagement party… $4,000 for family gifts… $10,000 for the wedding ceremony… $5,000 for more gifts… and $7,000 for the honeymoon.” The numbers blurred together and his heart sank He had met his girlfriend in school, and he loved her deeply. Getting married to her had always been his biggest dream and he looked forward to it every single day. But now that the day was finally approaching, his dream was slowly turning into a nightmare. The cost of the wedding was beyond what he had imagined. He had already calculated over $100,000 and the list kept growing. As someone who had struggled financially all his life, barely getting by, this was overwhelming. His parents had died when he was young, and since then, he had lived with his aunt, who now sat beside him, her face filled with worry and sadness. “Can we try to do just a small wedding?” his aunt asked gently, looking at Nolan’s girlfriend’s mother, Mrs Whitmore. “Something simple, just with both families. If we can do that, we’ll spend a lot less…” “I will never accept such a thing!” Mrs. Whitmore snapped, cutting her off sharply. “A small wedding? For my daughter? That’s impossible! I don’t think you understand what you’re saying and clearly, you’re not ready for this marriage.” “Those things on the list aren’t even everything,” she continued, her voice filled with anger. “Those are just the starters. I haven’t included the house, the car… and let’s not even talk about your bank statement. If you don’t have a certain amount in your account, you’re not marrying my daughter.” She folded her arms and looked Nolan up and down with clear disapproval. “I just gave you a small list with barely any expenses, and you’re already complaining?” Nolan’s aunt shifted uncomfortably beside him, but Nolan spoke up, trying to stay calm. “I was actually planning to talk about the house with you. That’s why I think we should cut out a few things that aren’t really necessary. Savannah and I can manage without a big wedding or a honeymoon.” “Enough! I’ve heard enough!” Mrs. Whitmore stood up, her voice rising. She turned fully to face Nolan, her expression cold. “This is why I was never in support of you dating my daughter in the first place. I knew something like this would happen. With your family’s condition, your lack of a stable job, how do you expect to take care of her when you get married? You don’t even have a car or a house of your own, and yet you want to marry? You must be dreaming!” “I… the thing is…” Nolan stuttered as he tried to explain himself. “Save your silly explanations, I’m not interested,” she snapped again. “Since you’re so poor that you can’t even afford the wedding costs, then stop wasting my time or my daughter’s time. She’s not deaf or dumb, no broken body parts and also, she’s a very beautiful girl. Men chase after her left and right. She’ll find someone who’s better for her. Someone who deserves her. And it’s definitely not you.” From the very beginning, when Savannah, Nolan’s girlfriend, introduced Nolan to her mother, She never liked him. He had shown up wearing clothes so old they were almost falling apart. And worse, he rode a bicycle to visit. A bicycle. In this age? Mrs. Whitmore had been deeply embarrassed and ashamed that her daughter could even consider dating someone like him. “Things are definitely going to get better,” Nolan said quietly. “I just need…” “Oh, please! Spare me the excuses,” Mrs. Whitmore said, cutting him off. “I won’t let some dog become part of my family. I won’t let you ruin our reputation. Get out of my house immediately, you good-for-nothing, shameless thing!” Before Nolan could respond, Mrs. Whitmore had already called for security to throw him and his aunt out of the house. His aunt stood frozen, too stunned to speak. She never imagined they’d be treated like that. “I’m so sorry about this, Aunty,” Nolan said softly, his eyes fixed on the floor. He couldn’t bring himself to meet her gaze. “I’ll meet you at home later… There’s somewhere I need to be.” He turned and walked off quickly. The moment he was out of sight, he pulled out his phone and called Savannah. “Savannah, please,” he said the moment she picked up. “Help me talk to your mum. Apologize to her for me. Tell her I’ll find a way to get all the money needed for the wedding. I’ll handle everything, I just need some time.” There was a pause… and then Savannah replied coldly “There won’t be any need for that. You don’t have to worry.” “What do you mean by that?” Nolan asked, confused. “It’s very clear you don’t love me anymore,” Savannah said, her voice flat. “You really don’t care about me.” “What are you saying, Savannah?” Nolan asked, his heart pounding. “You of all people know how crazy I am about you. Without a doubt.” “You’re all talk, Nolan. Just words, no action,” she replied sharply. “The list my mother gave you was small, and the money wasn’t even that much. But you’re already complaining and trying to cut costs. Am I not worth spending money on?” Nolan wiped the sweat from his forehead. He was starting to feel light-headed. “You’re worth more than any amount of money,” he said softly. “But right now, things are just really hard. I’m trying.” “What about that land you told me about last month?” Savannah asked. “If you sell it, you can afford everything for the wedding and more. If I really matter to you, why are you hesitating?” “I told you already,” Nolan said, trying to stay calm. “That land doesn’t belong to me. It’s the only property my aunt and her husband have. I can’t just take it from them. That’s their future.” Savannah went silent for a moment, and then her voice turned bitter. “All you care about is your aunt and her husband. It’s obvious I mean nothing to you.” Nolan opened his mouth, but no words came out. “I can’t do this anymore,” she said coldly. “This was your last chance and you still messed it up.” “Don’t ever contact me again. You pathetic fool. It’s over between us.” The line went dead.Expand

“Excuse me, what’s your business here?” The bouncer asked firmly.Sonya blinked like she hadn’t heard him right. “What did you just say?”The bouncer stood straight and repeated himself. “What’s your business here? This entrance is for guests only.”Sonya’s face turned red. “Do you know who I am?” she snapped, planting her hand on her hip. “My uncle works here, and he’s not just anybody! If he hears that you stopped me, you’re going to lose your job today, you fat, bald idiot!”Sariah nodded quickly, backing her up. “Yeah, you clearly don’t know who you’re talking to.”But the bouncer didn’t move. He didn’t even pay attention to what she was saying. He kept his hand up and didn’t let them pass.Jett, Savannah, and Dora stopped behind the twins, looking confused. Sonya had promised that getting in would be easy since her uncle worked at the hotel, and now they were being blocked.Sonya’s mouth tightened, and she pulled out her phone angrily. “Ugh! I can’t believe this,” she hissed. “He

Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 16
“Where exactly are you even going that you’re calling it a place where I can’t be on the same level as you or that I wouldn’t be able to afford to go?” Nolan asked, folding his arms tightly. His voice was still calm, but his eyes showed that he was burning with anger inside. Normally, he would’ve walked away. Normally, he would’ve just let it slide but today was different.Jett moved closer to Nolan, standing right in front of him like he was trying to make him feel small. He folded his arms, raised his chin, and looked at Nolan like he was nothing.“This isn’t just some regular hotel, alright?” Jett said slowly, like Nolan was too dumb to understand. “This is a five-star place. A real luxury hotel. People who stay there have money, real money. People who wear designer clothes every day, not just on special occasions.”Nolan didn’t back down or step back. He stood his ground and kept his arms crossed, his jaw clenched tight. But inside, he was trying to hold himself back from hitting

Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 15
“So… you all expect me to cry over a woman?” Nolan asked, raising a brow. “Is that what this is about? That I’m supposed to be sad and broken just because Savannah isn’t mine anymore?”He shook his head and let out a small laugh even though deep down, he was pained and still sad. “That doesn’t even make sense,” he said. “Do you know how many women I could have right now if I wanted to? I’m not heartbroken. Trust me. I just don’t chase people who don’t want me.” For a second, there was silence. Then Dora stepped forward with a scowl on her face.“You’re such a scum, Nolan,” she snapped, arms folded tightly across her chest. “How could you say that? It hasn’t even been two days since you and Savannah broke up! And now you’re talking about having women around you like she’s just some random person?”Nolan didn’t say anything, but Gabriel, who was standing beside him, let out a loud scoff.“Oh please,” Gabriel said, clearly annoyed. “Are you kidding me right now? Can’t you see that Sava

Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 14
Nolan stepped out of the store first, his hands in his pockets, happy with how everything played out. Gabriel followed right behind him. “That,” Gabriel said, clapping Nolan on the back with a grin, “was legendary. I mean, wow. I didn’t expect you to do that. You really had me thinking Fiona was going to walk out with that bag.”He shook his head, still impressed. “But seriously, where the hell did you get that kind of money from? What are you not telling us? I’m so confused and curious at the same time”Nolan chuckled under his breath, the corners of his lips twitching. “It’s a long story,” he said, glancing at him. “But don’t worry. I’ll tell you about it soon.”Gabriel opened his mouth to say more, but then, Cole walked out of the store with a heavy sigh. He ran his hand through his hair and shook his head, looking like he hadn’t recovered from what just happened.“I just hope Fiona doesn’t hold a grudge over all this,” He muttered quietly, avoiding Nolan’s eyes.Gabriel turned to

Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 13
The shop attendant picked up one bundle and used the counterfeit detector pen to make a mark on it. The mark stayed yellow, confirming it was real. She tested a few more and all of them passed.Fiona looked like someone had just slapped her across the face. The shop attendant, now with a bigger smile on her face , began running the money through the machine. One by one, the bills flew through the machine, the machine counting without a single error and after a few seconds, the display beeped.“Five thousand,” the shop attendant announced when it was done. Fiona’s face was blank now. Her voice, gone. How could this have happened?Gabriel gave a low whistle. “Well, that’s settled, isn’t it?”Nolan turned to the shop attendant and said, “Keep the bag. I’m not buying it anymore.”Fiona’s head snapped toward him.“What?”“You heard me,” Nolan said, shrugging. “I just wanted to prove to you that I could get the bag. I’m not getting it for you, you clearly don’t deserve it.”Fiona’s jaw cle

Fiona looked stunned for a second and her arms slowly dropped to her sides as her eyes stayed locked on the cash in front of her.“I… I can get the machine,” the shop attendant finally said, stumbling over her words. She looked down at the money, then back at Nolan like she couldn’t believe her own eyes.“Y-You’re really buying it?” she asked, her voice so low that you could hardly hear it.“I said I would,” Nolan replied simply, sliding one hand into his pocket. “I’ve mentioned that I would not once or twice.”Gabriel looked just as shocked as the others, but a slow smirk formed on his face. He crossed his arms and let out a small laugh. “Well, would you look at that?”Cole didn’t say anything. He looked like he wanted to speak, but his mouth just opened and closed again. He glanced at Fiona, then at Nolan, then back at the pile of money. The shop assistant rushed off to the back to get the counting machine, suddenly much more polite than before. Nolan just stood there, quiet and unb
