Chapter 1
Nolan could feel a headache forming as he stared at the list of expenses his girlfriend’s mother handed to him.
”$2,000 for the engagement party… $4,000 for family gifts… $10,000 for the wedding ceremony… $5,000 for more gifts… and $7,000 for the honeymoon.” The numbers blurred together and his heart sank He had met his girlfriend in school, and he loved her deeply. Getting married to her had always been his biggest dream and he looked forward to it every single day. But now that the day was finally approaching, his dream was slowly turning into a nightmare. The cost of the wedding was beyond what he had imagined. He had already calculated over $100,000 and the list kept growing. As someone who had struggled financially all his life, barely getting by, this was overwhelming. His parents had died when he was young, and since then, he had lived with his aunt, who now sat beside him, her face filled with worry and sadness. “Can we try to do just a small wedding?” his aunt asked gently, looking at Nolan’s girlfriend’s mother, Mrs Whitmore. “Something simple, just with both families. If we can do that, we’ll spend a lot less…” “I will never accept such a thing!” Mrs. Whitmore snapped, cutting her off sharply. “A small wedding? For my daughter? That’s impossible! I don’t think you understand what you’re saying and clearly, you’re not ready for this marriage.” “Those things on the list aren’t even everything,” she continued, her voice filled with anger. “Those are just the starters. I haven’t included the house, the car… and let’s not even talk about your bank statement. If you don’t have a certain amount in your account, you’re not marrying my daughter.” She folded her arms and looked Nolan up and down with clear disapproval. “I just gave you a small list with barely any expenses, and you’re already complaining?” Nolan’s aunt shifted uncomfortably beside him, but Nolan spoke up, trying to stay calm. “I was actually planning to talk about the house with you. That’s why I think we should cut out a few things that aren’t really necessary. Savannah and I can manage without a big wedding or a honeymoon.” “Enough! I’ve heard enough!” Mrs. Whitmore stood up, her voice rising. She turned fully to face Nolan, her expression cold. “This is why I was never in support of you dating my daughter in the first place. I knew something like this would happen. With your family’s condition, your lack of a stable job, how do you expect to take care of her when you get married? You don’t even have a car or a house of your own, and yet you want to marry? You must be dreaming!” “I… the thing is…” Nolan stuttered as he tried to explain himself. “Save your silly explanations, I’m not interested,” she snapped again. “Since you’re so poor that you can’t even afford the wedding costs, then stop wasting my time or my daughter’s time. She’s not deaf or dumb, no broken body parts and also, she’s a very beautiful girl. Men chase after her left and right. She’ll find someone who’s better for her. Someone who deserves her. And it’s definitely not you.” From the very beginning, when Savannah, Nolan’s girlfriend, introduced Nolan to her mother, She never liked him. He had shown up wearing clothes so old they were almost falling apart. And worse, he rode a bicycle to visit. A bicycle. In this age? Mrs. Whitmore had been deeply embarrassed and ashamed that her daughter could even consider dating someone like him. “Things are definitely going to get better,” Nolan said quietly. “I just need…” “Oh, please! Spare me the excuses,” Mrs. Whitmore said, cutting him off. “I won’t let some dog become part of my family. I won’t let you ruin our reputation. Get out of my house immediately, you good-for-nothing, shameless thing!” Before Nolan could respond, Mrs. Whitmore had already called for security to throw him and his aunt out of the house. His aunt stood frozen, too stunned to speak. She never imagined they’d be treated like that. “I’m so sorry about this, Aunty,” Nolan said softly, his eyes fixed on the floor. He couldn’t bring himself to meet her gaze. “I’ll meet you at home later… There’s somewhere I need to be.” He turned and walked off quickly. The moment he was out of sight, he pulled out his phone and called Savannah. “Savannah, please,” he said the moment she picked up. “Help me talk to your mum. Apologize to her for me. Tell her I’ll find a way to get all the money needed for the wedding. I’ll handle everything, I just need some time.” There was a pause… and then Savannah replied coldly “There won’t be any need for that. You don’t have to worry.” “What do you mean by that?” Nolan asked, confused. “It’s very clear you don’t love me anymore,” Savannah said, her voice flat. “You really don’t care about me.” “What are you saying, Savannah?” Nolan asked, his heart pounding. “You of all people know how crazy I am about you. Without a doubt.” “You’re all talk, Nolan. Just words, no action,” she replied sharply. “The list my mother gave you was small, and the money wasn’t even that much. But you’re already complaining and trying to cut costs. Am I not worth spending money on?” Nolan wiped the sweat from his forehead. He was starting to feel light-headed. “You’re worth more than any amount of money,” he said softly. “But right now, things are just really hard. I’m trying.” “What about that land you told me about last month?” Savannah asked. “If you sell it, you can afford everything for the wedding and more. If I really matter to you, why are you hesitating?” “I told you already,” Nolan said, trying to stay calm. “That land doesn’t belong to me. It’s the only property my aunt and her husband have. I can’t just take it from them. That’s their future.” Savannah went silent for a moment, and then her voice turned bitter. “All you care about is your aunt and her husband. It’s obvious I mean nothing to you.” Nolan opened his mouth, but no words came out. “I can’t do this anymore,” she said coldly. “This was your last chance and you still messed it up.” “Don’t ever contact me again. You pathetic fool. It’s over between us.” The line went dead.Expand

Gabriel took a step closer to Gideon, his face full of anger. He looked like he was about to fight with him..“Who do you think you are?” Gabriel said in a loud voice. “Is it me you’re talking to like that? Are you okay in tne head…”Before Gabriel could say more or do anything, a voice from behind stopped him.“Are my eyes messing with me or isn’t that Gabriel?” the voice said in a playful tone. “Are you really about to fight a worker in a car shop?”The voice was laughing, and it made everyone stop what they were doing and they all turned to look at who was speaking. It was Damien. Damien was Jett’s best friend and he was standing at the entrance of the car shop, smiling and right behind him was Jett, standing with his usual proud face and wearing clothes that looked very expensive.Damien was actually richer than Jett. He had more money, more power, and came from a more important family but Damien didn’t act proud like Jett, although he was rude and also treated poor people lik

Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 88
“Who were you talking to just now?” Cole asked the moment Nolan ended the phone call and walked back to where they were standing.Nolan rolled his eyes. Cole was always asking questions about everything he did. He always wanted to know who Nolan was talking to, where he was going, what he was thinking. It was almost like Cole had made it his full-time job to poke into every single thing.“That was from work,” Nolan said quickly, not wanting to say too much. He just wanted to move on before Cole asked more questions.“Let’s go inside to check the cars already,” Gabriel said as he wiped sweat off his forehead. “You’ve made us stand out here under the sun for too long. I’m tired already.”They all walked into the showroom together. As soon as Nolan stepped inside, he stopped and looked around. His eyes went wide in surprise. There were so many cars inside. New cars, fairly used cars, and even some old models. All of them looked neat and shiny like they had just been polished. The white f

“I think my budget should be about five thousand to six thousand dollars,” Nolan said slowly as he looked around the car shop. “I’m not sure if it’s too much or if it’s just enough… but let’s work with that range for now.”The words had barely left his mouth when Cole’s eyes widened in complete shock.“Six… SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS?!” Cole shouted, almost jumping. “Nolan! Are you serious right now?”He grabbed Nolan by his shoulders and shook him a little, as if trying to wake him up from a dream.“Did you really just say six thousand dollars?” Cole repeated, louder this time.Fiona and Gabriel who were walking around the car shop quickly turned around to look at them. They had heard Cole’s loud voice and wanted to know what was going on.“Yes, six thousand dollars,” Nolan repeated, now feeling a little nervous because everyone in the shop was now staring at him.“Six thousand?” Cole said again, his voice still loud. “As in, one, two, three, four, five… SIX?!”He covered his mouth with h

Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 86
“How about you take this taxi with Fiona?” Nolan said as he stepped away from the car door and looked at Cole.Cole’s eyes lit up and he didn’t hesitate to move forward. He wanted to be the one to sit down with Fiona initially. “Really?” he asked, already moving closer to the car. “Okay! No problem!” He was so happy that he didn’t even wait for Nolan to say anything else. He just went in and sat beside Fiona, grinning from ear to ear but Fiona didn’t smile. In fact, she was very angry and if a glare could kill someone, Nolan would have been dead. Her face changed so suddenly because this wasn't what she wanted. She didn’t want to sit beside Cole and she didn’t come all the way just to sit in a taxi with Cole or just to be with Cole. Her plan was to be alone with Nolan and she wanted to sit close to him, talk to him, maybe even flirt a little, just like last time butnow, Cole had ruined everything. She was so mad and she didn’t want to be in the car with Cole at all. Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 85
Nolan started thinking about Fiona again and he remembered the last time he spoke to her, and how it didn’t end well. She had said some things that really annoyed him and she had acted in a way that made him sure she wasn’t someone he wanted to be close to. In fact, after that last encounter, he had promised himself that he wouldn’t even speak to her again but now, she was coming with them to check out his car.He didn’t even want to see her face again, but Cole had already told her to come along. It was too late now to stop her because Cole had already made the plans without asking anyone else.Nolan sighed and looked around. He spotted Gabriel packing his books as he was getting ready to leave the classroom too and he quickly walked up to him.“I was waiting for you to say something about Fiona coming with us,” Nolan said, walking beside him.Gabriel scoffed and rolled his eyes. “What’s the point?” he asked, clearly annoyed. “Cole doesn’t listen and no matter how many times we

Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 84
Nolan thought Cole was going to ask him some questions. He expected him to say something like, “How did you get money to buy a car?” or “Where did the money come from?” He thought Cole would be curious about how he suddenly had enough money to think of buying a car but Cole didn’t ask any of that.He was just too happy and too excited and he didn’t even stop to think about anything. He didn’t ask where the money came from and it was as if he was the one buying the car, not Nolan. Nolan was still waiting for the questions but he didn’t ask them. Instead, Cole went to Gabriel and started telling him all the types of cars Nolan could buy. “It must be big and sleek,” Cole said, raising his hands to show the size. “It must be finer than Jett’s car, and it must make noise when it moves. You know all those sounds those sports cars make? Something like that."Gabriel shook his head and said, “No, you’re wrong. What matters the most in a car is how it performs and instead of how fine it l
