Chapter 1
Nolan could feel a headache forming as he stared at the list of expenses his girlfriend’s mother handed to him.
”$2,000 for the engagement party… $4,000 for family gifts… $10,000 for the wedding ceremony… $5,000 for more gifts… and $7,000 for the honeymoon.” The numbers blurred together and his heart sank He had met his girlfriend in school, and he loved her deeply. Getting married to her had always been his biggest dream and he looked forward to it every single day. But now that the day was finally approaching, his dream was slowly turning into a nightmare. The cost of the wedding was beyond what he had imagined. He had already calculated over $100,000 and the list kept growing. As someone who had struggled financially all his life, barely getting by, this was overwhelming. His parents had died when he was young, and since then, he had lived with his aunt, who now sat beside him, her face filled with worry and sadness. “Can we try to do just a small wedding?” his aunt asked gently, looking at Nolan’s girlfriend’s mother, Mrs Whitmore. “Something simple, just with both families. If we can do that, we’ll spend a lot less…” “I will never accept such a thing!” Mrs. Whitmore snapped, cutting her off sharply. “A small wedding? For my daughter? That’s impossible! I don’t think you understand what you’re saying and clearly, you’re not ready for this marriage.” “Those things on the list aren’t even everything,” she continued, her voice filled with anger. “Those are just the starters. I haven’t included the house, the car… and let’s not even talk about your bank statement. If you don’t have a certain amount in your account, you’re not marrying my daughter.” She folded her arms and looked Nolan up and down with clear disapproval. “I just gave you a small list with barely any expenses, and you’re already complaining?” Nolan’s aunt shifted uncomfortably beside him, but Nolan spoke up, trying to stay calm. “I was actually planning to talk about the house with you. That’s why I think we should cut out a few things that aren’t really necessary. Savannah and I can manage without a big wedding or a honeymoon.” “Enough! I’ve heard enough!” Mrs. Whitmore stood up, her voice rising. She turned fully to face Nolan, her expression cold. “This is why I was never in support of you dating my daughter in the first place. I knew something like this would happen. With your family’s condition, your lack of a stable job, how do you expect to take care of her when you get married? You don’t even have a car or a house of your own, and yet you want to marry? You must be dreaming!” “I… the thing is…” Nolan stuttered as he tried to explain himself. “Save your silly explanations, I’m not interested,” she snapped again. “Since you’re so poor that you can’t even afford the wedding costs, then stop wasting my time or my daughter’s time. She’s not deaf or dumb, no broken body parts and also, she’s a very beautiful girl. Men chase after her left and right. She’ll find someone who’s better for her. Someone who deserves her. And it’s definitely not you.” From the very beginning, when Savannah, Nolan’s girlfriend, introduced Nolan to her mother, She never liked him. He had shown up wearing clothes so old they were almost falling apart. And worse, he rode a bicycle to visit. A bicycle. In this age? Mrs. Whitmore had been deeply embarrassed and ashamed that her daughter could even consider dating someone like him. “Things are definitely going to get better,” Nolan said quietly. “I just need…” “Oh, please! Spare me the excuses,” Mrs. Whitmore said, cutting him off. “I won’t let some dog become part of my family. I won’t let you ruin our reputation. Get out of my house immediately, you good-for-nothing, shameless thing!” Before Nolan could respond, Mrs. Whitmore had already called for security to throw him and his aunt out of the house. His aunt stood frozen, too stunned to speak. She never imagined they’d be treated like that. “I’m so sorry about this, Aunty,” Nolan said softly, his eyes fixed on the floor. He couldn’t bring himself to meet her gaze. “I’ll meet you at home later… There’s somewhere I need to be.” He turned and walked off quickly. The moment he was out of sight, he pulled out his phone and called Savannah. “Savannah, please,” he said the moment she picked up. “Help me talk to your mum. Apologize to her for me. Tell her I’ll find a way to get all the money needed for the wedding. I’ll handle everything, I just need some time.” There was a pause… and then Savannah replied coldly “There won’t be any need for that. You don’t have to worry.” “What do you mean by that?” Nolan asked, confused. “It’s very clear you don’t love me anymore,” Savannah said, her voice flat. “You really don’t care about me.” “What are you saying, Savannah?” Nolan asked, his heart pounding. “You of all people know how crazy I am about you. Without a doubt.” “You’re all talk, Nolan. Just words, no action,” she replied sharply. “The list my mother gave you was small, and the money wasn’t even that much. But you’re already complaining and trying to cut costs. Am I not worth spending money on?” Nolan wiped the sweat from his forehead. He was starting to feel light-headed. “You’re worth more than any amount of money,” he said softly. “But right now, things are just really hard. I’m trying.” “What about that land you told me about last month?” Savannah asked. “If you sell it, you can afford everything for the wedding and more. If I really matter to you, why are you hesitating?” “I told you already,” Nolan said, trying to stay calm. “That land doesn’t belong to me. It’s the only property my aunt and her husband have. I can’t just take it from them. That’s their future.” Savannah went silent for a moment, and then her voice turned bitter. “All you care about is your aunt and her husband. It’s obvious I mean nothing to you.” Nolan opened his mouth, but no words came out. “I can’t do this anymore,” she said coldly. “This was your last chance and you still messed it up.” “Don’t ever contact me again. You pathetic fool. It’s over between us.” The line went dead.Expand

Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 146
Nolan whipped his head to the side instantly to look at Serena, his eyes wide with a question he was dying to ask her because what exactly did she think she was doing? When his gaze landed on her, she didn’t even spare him a glance and was too busy laughing lightly and talking with Dave as though everything was normal and she wasn’t doing anything wrong with her hand still pressed firmly on his thigh. Her fingers began to move deliberately and dangerously close to his groin, and Nolan felt his entire body stiffen at the contact. He swallowed hard, trying to ignore it, but the more he tried to act like nothing was happening, the more daring Serena became. Her fingers slid up a little more, teasing him in a way that made it almost impossible for him to keep his composure. It was a bold move, especially here in this room filled with people who could easily notice them if they happened to look at the wrong time. “What is she trying to do?@ Nolan thought to himself in confusion, his ch

Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 145
Just as Nolan had guessed and feared deep down, Serena, Jett’s mom, the same woman he had spent that night with at the motel, walked into the room. She was dressed in a tight black gown that hugged every single curve of her body, showing off her shape in a way that made it impossible not to look. On her face, she had only light makeup, just enough to highlight her features, but her bold red lipstick was what caught the eye immediately because it made her lips stand out, matching the color of her gown, and the combination made her look even younger. She looked nothing like someone close to her fifties. Instead, she looked like a woman in her twenties, a woman who still had her whole youth. That was how good she looked. She was the type of woman who could walk into any place and both the young and the old would turn their heads, just to stare at her. It didn’t even matter if they had their wives or girlfriends beside them, she was the kind of woman who forced attention and it showed, b

Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 144
“I’m so sorry for what just happened out there, Mister Nolan.” Dave apologized immediately to Nolan when they got back into the dining room. He was worried and scared that because of the embarrassing scene Nolan had just witnessed, he might change his mind about everything he had to do with him. He feared Nolan might decide not to go on with the purchase of the stores anymore or even cut ties with him completely. “Oh, you don’t have to worry about that, there’s no problem at all. I’m not worried about what happened, and you shouldn’t be too.” Nolan replied, reassuring him.Dave blinked rapidly and let out a long breath, shaking his head in disbelief. “I’ve never seen anyone like you before, and I can’t believe what I’m hearing from you. What I expected you to do was to get angry, storm out of here and I thought you would lose your temper and say you wanted nothing to do with me again. But you…” he paused, staring at Nolan in pure amazement. “You’re sitting here so calmly and not e

Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 143
Nolan’s lips curved into another small, amused chuckle as he stared at both of them. He couldn’t hide the irony he was seeing right in front of him. When he had been inside, he had clearly heard them pleading, crying and shouting for help while they begged agent Stanley, their voices trembling and desperate but now that they found out that he had something to do with the stores, their entire attitude suddenly changed and they were no longer pleading. They were now standing tall, commanding him and even daring to sound rude and the change was almost laughable to him.Uncle Ken caught Nolan staring and laughing and immediately snapped at him again, his voice laced with anger. “Why are you staring at me like that? Are you deaf or something? I said you should hurry up and talk to the contractor and tell him what to do immediately. Don’t stand there wasting my time. I don’t have time to waste here, so you better do as I have said!”“You both are so funny.” Nolan said as he tried to stop hi

Dave let out a loud scoff as he glared hard at Uncle Ken and his wife, his eyes narrowing in pure disbelief. “I can’t even believe what I’m hearing right now,” he said shaking his head. “So, you’re actually telling me that the both of you are relatives of Mr. Nolan, yet here you are, badmouthing him like this? Standing here and spitting out such ridiculous things from your mouths?”He shook his head slowly again, his face full of irritation and disgust. “I have never ever seen relatives like you before in my life and to be honest with you, I am highly disappointed that the both of you even have something to do with Mr. Nolan at all. It’s so shameful.”Dave stepped forward a little, his voice getting loud as he continued. “But since you’re so blind and acting like fools, let me clear it for you. For your information, it was Mr. Nolan who bought the stores that you’re crying about and disturbing this whole place for and not only did he buy them, he bought fifteen of those stores. Fifte

Nolan Lancaster: Rejected, Revenged, And Richer Than Ever Chapter 141
Uncle Ken’s wife bit down hard on her lip, her anger boiling inside her chest at what Mr. Louis had just said to her. She couldn’t hold it anymore, and before she knew it, her voice tore through the air, louder than before, trembling with fury. “Mr. Lancaster! Come outside! We need to see you! Mr. Lancaster!” she screamed at the top of her voice, ignoring the people staring and the way Mr. Louis’s face had darkened in annoyance.“Throw these good-for-nothing people out of this hotel right now!” Mr. Louis barked angrily at the security men, but Uncle Ken’s wife didn’t allow the men to touch her and she didn’t give Mr Louis the chance to shut her up. She screamed again, even louder this time, her voice echoing through the entire lobby. “Mr. Lancaster! Mr. Lancaster!”The sound of her screaming made the whole place tense and everyone froze as the sudden silence was broken when the door to the private room opened wide and all eyes turned to see who would come out, then Nolan stepped out c
