Another trouble follows

I left the diner a while ago. It has been more than an hour. You must be thinking that I am currently sitting in the train.

Wrong. I should have boarded the train normally and left. NORMALLY!!!!!

But, when I reached the station, the train was already there. I pass through the ticket counter and head to the train.

However, that never happened. When I was about to step my foot into the train, I felt an impact.

Someone hit me from behind and I pass out.

It’s a blank. I don’t know what happened after that.

Now I am here. Sitting in an abandoned garage. Pretty generic. It’s one of those abductions. I am abducted.

But I don’t see the perpetrator. Who did that to me?

I think I know who it is. But now, I have nothing to do. My hands and feet are tied together. How did they do it?

They tied my hands and passed the rope through my legs to tie them as well and then made the final knot on my back.

I can’t move. Even sitting is actually hurting me. This is definitely a sadist. Pretty good at bondage and stuff.

What to do? I have nothing to do. Can’t call because of that. Won’t yell because it’d be pointless. Don’t know the perpetrator so it’s better to stay quiet.

Let’s go to sleep. My day was already ruined when I was taken a hostage in that robbery.

So nothing can go wrong. I lie on my back. It still hurts. But I try to fall asleep on the dirty floor.

I woke up. No, I was forced to wake up. I got splashed with water on my face.

I open my eyes and calmly sit up. I look around and find a lot of guys.

I do know them and I thought of them as the first perpetrator.

“Yo guys!!! How’ve you been?” I flash a smile and ask them.

“How’ve we been? ARE YOU FU**ING KIDDING ME?” The rough looking guy with a scar over his right eye yelled at me.

“No need to be so loud. I just asked how are you.” I say.

“You bastard. You’ve been running away from us for 10 months. Now we’ve got you.”

A grunt said. As I said, he was a grunt. Not someone important.

“So, what business do you have? I am a busy man.”

“Huuuhhh?!!!” The rough looking guy said with a threatening tone.

“As I said, I am a busy man. I need to leave. So if you don’t have any business with me then release me. Also give a lift to the next town.”

All of them are looking at me. Not just the rough guy, all the grunts are looking at me like I am an alien or something.

“Buhahahaha.” All of them burst into laughter after that.

“Boss, this guy is insane. He probably went mad with fear.” A grunt said while holding his belly and laughing.

“Maybe.” The rough looking guy stopped laughing after that and looked at me straight.

“I ask you. Are you willing to come back?”

He asked me the question I have thinking about.

“No. I left because I lost interest.”

I clearly shut him up. I used to work together with him for a Yakuza but I quit my job and left.

Ever since then, they have been hounding me. So I was thinking of leaving the country. Only for that reason, I came to this town to say goodbye to father.

My parents are still alive. But what they did to me left an impression. So it’s kinda hard to trust them. That’s why, I only came to meet father for the last time.

“I see. So we have to bring that out.” The rough guy said and one of the grunts opened the shed.

Someone is walking towards me. It’s bright outside so I can’t see all that well but I can see someone coming.

From the shadow, it’s a man. Big build and wearing traditional Japanese clothes.

Don’t tell me they brought the boss? What am I gonna do? Boss himself took me in and gave me a place to stay two years ago.

“It has been a while, Akito!” It really is the boss.

My name Kanehaya Akito, the Kanehaya part is actually the Yakuza name.

The Kanehaya group. I took their last name because I didn’t need my real name. I only kept the Akito part.

“Yeah, boss. It’s quite a disgraceful sight I have shown you.”

I bow my head. I respect him as much as father. After father, he is the second person to take me in.

“I ask you Akito, why are you not coming back?” Boss asks me.

It is true. I never had any complaints about them. They are nice people. But boss presented me with a really hard job.

That is looking after his daughter. His daughter was in high school.

I guess she is about to graduate next year. But then, he told me to marry her.

“Boss, I can’t do that.” Is what I said and tried to bury that matter.

However he won’t stop asking me. He wants me to hold the mantle of the Kanehaya group.

I can’t take on such a big job. So I quit and left quietly.

“Boss, I can return.” I say to him.

“Then return. I won’t tell you marry my daughter.” He says.

I think I heard something outrageous. He gave up. Boss is an extremely tenacious man.

So he won’t give up on anything and yet he gave up.

“Are you really saying that, boss?” I ask him.

“Yeah. I was kinda forcing you into it and I never asked my daughter either. So I am telling you, it’s okay for you not to marry.”

Boss actually gave up. I am kinda relieved.

“Then I am going boss.” I say that.

“Untie him.” Boss told the rough looking guy.

“We are currently on a business here. So let’s go. I will have you be by my side.”

Boss said that and we got into the cars. But I still hadn’t thought about the distinct possibility of THAT happening.
