The World is Hard - Part.1

"Please don't act as if we're close," said Lucas.

Suddenly Frank's smile, which started as soon as the story disappeared in a flash, hears Lucas's refusal. The atmosphere slowly became distant from each other.

"Why do you hate me? Is it because of your mother's death?" Frank asked with a serious face.

Hearing that Lucas's irritation towards her grew more and more. The wound was supposed to have gotten better but suddenly he came and sprinkled it with salt water. His sweet voice was not exactly what he had sprinkled on him.

"Get out!" said Lucas, affirming his words.

"What? Lucas! Are you serious?"

"I said get out of the way! Fuck!" said Lucas — looking violently at the fury that was so turbulent inside him. Not wanting to vent his anger in a public place, Lucas chose to leave behind people who didn't even know what his mistake was, and with his pedals acting as if nothing happened, who else if not Frank?

"Lucas! Please, Lucas!! Listen to me! Lucas!!" he said, trying to persuade Lucas to get away.

The voice became more and more irritating and unbearable. The old man is stubborn and selfish, only selfish when he doesn't know the current situation. All the eyes around Lucas began to look at him with a look as if he had no manners toward his parents.

With patience, Lucas finally relented and stopped his pace. But, Frank is now able to catch up with him and stand before him with breathless breath.

"How long will it be embarrassing? Ah, shit!" Lucas murmured.

"Please listen to me, there is an important thing you must know. It's about your friend, Lewis," he said.

Lucas's eyes were turned to hear his friend's name mentioned after a long time he waited to hear from Lewis.

"Ardan? Do you know how Lewis is? Where is he now?" asked Lucas, continuing to urge Frank because he couldn't wait and making him panic like a fool when he heard Lewis's name.

How not, the one-year-ago incident that caused Lewis to be forced to go to jail while he was released because of his father's selfishness?

The guilt of his close friend led Lucas to try to secretly find out Lewis's news so that his father wouldn't know because if he found out, Lewis would be in jail for a longer time.

After the brawl between the students, Lucas was confined indoors and was not allowed to communicate with anyone. And today was the first day he entered the school and the first day he breathed fresh air. After 6 months he was trapped inside by his father. Lucas should have gone up to the 3rd grade, but because he was late for the exam, he finally had to be a year late. Lucas was immediately transferred to a new school to stop causing trouble.

Lucas also had an agreement with his father. If he can pass without causing trouble, Lewis will get out of prison as soon as possible but if he makes trouble again, his father will not hesitate to imprison Lewis.

This is indeed absurd because Lewis is blamed for his actions. After all, it is in his father's view that Lewis has made Lucas change and has always been involved in a fight, which is why his father hates Lewis and himself so much.

At a cafe on the outskirts of the city, which looks like quite a lot of people are enjoying the time until they are there. Finally, Lucas agreed to Frank's lunch so that he could know the news of Lewis at this time.

The smile was all light from Frank's face when he saw his nephew finally wanting to have lunch with him.

Karina kept running as much as she did while looking at her watch several times. She was already really late for work because she had to clean the class by herself. Worry and resignation if he will be ostracized by the cafe owner because he is late, even though he has only been at work one week.

Karina walked towards the back of the cafe, to be exact the kitchen cafe. Because workers are not allowed to enter through the entrance, but rather the back door that goes straight through the kitchen. Right in front of the cafe door, Karina just broke in. It immediately made the kitchen people look at him with a puzzled look. In two seconds they are again busy with their work and indifferent to Karina's presence. That was a stressful situation, the kitchen guys were known to be very loud. What else is the chief chef in charge of the cafe?

Karina again closed the door — walking into the dressing room. He had to hurry before anyone could see, at least he could camouflage himself so he wouldn't look too late.

She quickly locks her hair, wears an apron, and gives her lip lipstick so that it doesn't look a little dirty. In front of the glass, Karina is ready for work.

"What are you doing here, instead of work?" asked someone from behind him, sounding so cold and stabbing that Karina was surprised to be scared.

This is the owner of the cafe, he'll realize if there's a late employee. There's no way out for him anymore. Karina could only surrender to the consequences she would have.

Turning around — put his head down. "I'm so sorry, Sir ..."

"KARINA? YOU JUST COME TO WORK!" snapped him so loudly that it sounded in the ears of those kitchen men. Soon Karina was afraid her voice was so loud.

"What time is it, Karina?! You're a new part-timer here, at least show your looks rather than being late. You don't even know yourself!! I gave you sobs as I did!! It's already the second time in a week you're late for work!!!" He said no matter who would hear, He kept yelling at Karina.

"Those who work here know it!! You know the responsibility, hard work!! You schoolboys just dare to be late!! Still lucky I gave you a job!! You stupid girl!".
