Opening his eyes, Oliver saw a man, a woman, two boys, and a girl standing around him. 'What the fuck is happening.'

"He's awake!" the woman said, nearly screaming, she was beautiful with black hair and blue eyes. She and the others rushed over to Oliver's side. "Kyle, are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm al-" Oliver couldn't help but pause. "Sorry, what did you just call me?"

"Mom, what's wrong with Kyle?" one of the boys asked worriedly, he had brown hair and blue eyes. The woman turned to the man with a questioning look.

"Eliot, what's wrong with Kyle?"

'Why do they keep on calling me Kyle?' Oliver thought.

Panic was beginning to set in.

"I think he lost his memory," Eliot said solemnly, his brown hair and eyes complimenting his good looks even when he looked so grim.

The woman covered her mouth with her hands, while the girl broke down in tears.

"I'll go call the healer," with those words Eliot stepped out.

As Oliver lay on the bed he couldn't help but think about when he entered the portal. 'It can't be right?'

"Umm, can I get a mirror?" Oliver asked, looking at the boy with white and red eyes.

The boy turned to the woman, only after seeing her nod did he run into the bathroom and came back with a mirror and handed it to Oliver.

Oliver stared into the mirror and his suspicion was confirmed.

His grip on the mirror tightened, his eyes widening.

The face in the mirror staring back at him was definitely not his.

'I actually reincarnated! I thought that only happened in fictions!'

With brown hair and eyes, Oliver had never thought he would ever look that handsome.

The door opened and Eliot returned with a man dressed in white behind him.

"Peter, please help Kyle, I think he lost his memory," Eliot said. The man nodded and walked towards Oliver.

He stretched forth his hands and suddenly, a warm light spread throughout Oliver's body.

All of a sudden, Oliver felt so relaxed. 'No fucking way, that's gotta be magic! Wait what if he finds out I'm not Kyle!'

A million thoughts about what they would do to him if they found out ran through his head.

The light slowly disappeared. Peter turned towards Eliot, his looked a bit troubled. "For some reason, he's not ill anymore."

"What do you mean? His seizures are gone?" Eliot asked.

"Oh thank Baronia!" the woman said, with tears flowing down her cheek.

"But... there's something wrong with his soul," Peter said after a while.

"Something wrong with his soul?" the woman asked.

"Yes, but it's nothing major, just let him rest," Peter said.

'Thank goodness, he didn't notice anything, but... why?' Oliver thought.

"Vanessa, let's leave Kyle to rest," Eliot said to the woman. He held her hand and led her towards the door with the children following behind him.

"Actually, can he stay behind?" Oliver asked, pointing at the boy with white hair and red eyes. He looked around the same age as Oliver.

"Fine," Eliot said. "But make it quick."

They all left the room, leaving the two of them alone. The boy kept on fidgeting, and doing his best to avoid Oliver's eyes.

"So, what's your name?" Oliver asked him.

"Zac," the boy said.

"Next question, where am I?"

Zac looked at Oliver strangely. "Your house."

"No I mean what planet are we on?" Oliver said.

"Man, this is worse than the other times," Zac said. "This planet is called Baronia."

"The healer said something about me being ill,"

"Yeah, you used to have seizures, but none had ever led to you loosing your memories."

"Okay, how old am I?" Oliver asked

"You just clocked sixteen," Zac said.

"Thanks, that should be enough for now," Oliver said with a smile.

Zac nodded and left the room.

Oliver closed his eyes, processing the information. 'That's a lot to take in, there's also magic in this world. What am I even gonna do with this new family? I mean, I can't pretend to be their son.'

As Oliver digested this information, one thought kept on crossing his mind. 'If there's magic, then it should be possible to go back to Earth.'

He couldn't stand the thought of leaving his family behind and starting a new life in another planet. 'No matter the cost, I'm gonna return back to Earth.'

Slowly, he drifted into sleep.

Opening his eyes, Oliver saw himself standing on top of a lake covered with mist. "The hell? Did i die again?" Oliver said with a sigh.

He looked down and the reflection staring back at him was his original face, he didn't look like Kyle anymore. "What the fuck is going on?"

Trying to find out where he was, he turned around, and what he saw took his breath away. Standing before him was Kyle, the original owner of this body.

For some reason he was sure that this was the real Kyle. Though for some reason, he was slowly fading away.

The both of them stared at each other, and while Oliver looked at Kyle with fear, Kyle's face was painted with curiosity.

Time and space seemed to stretch between them, then all of a sudden, both of them stretched their hands forward, their hands met and then the world around them shattered.

Oliver's eyes slowly opened. He stood up and walked towards the bathroom, on getting there he did nothing but stare at the mirror. "Things just keep on getting more confusing. And of all the places I could end up, I had to come to this fucking planet! Why couldn't I go somewhere more peaceful!"

While the only soul in the body was Oliver, for some reason he had gotten Kyle's memories and emotions.

Those emotions were now his, Kyle's love for his family, his fears, everything. They were now his.

They didn't feel foreign, they blended seamlessly with his.

"So, what am I now?" he said staring at the mirror. "Ugh, let's not overthink this, I'll be Kyle while I'm on Baronia, and Oliver when I return to Earth."

He still hadn't giving up on returning back to earth.

With those words he closed the door to take a bath. Some minutes later he stepped out, changed into a new set of clothes and went downstairs.

Heading down the hallway, Oliver- no, Kyle spotted his sister, Kelsey, coming up the stairs with some food.

When she saw Kyle outside his room she dropped the tray in shock and ran towards him. "What are you doing here! You are supposed to be resting." She was nearly screaming at this point.

Kyle simply patted her head, and smiled. "I've gotten my memories back, Kelsey."

Her brown eyes widened in shock. "MOM!! Kyle has recovered!"

Kyle couldn't help but cover his ears. 'She's never gonna change, is she?'

She suddenly grabbed his hand and pulled him down the stairs, with her black hair bouncing around. The rest of the family were already in the living room waiting for them.

"Is it true?" Vanessa asked hurriedly.

'They are so alike,' Kyle thought, remembering his mom back on Earth. "Yes mom, I'm fine now."

"Oh, thank Baronia!" She said.

Kyle felt a tug on his clothe, looking down, Kyle saw his little brother holding on to his shirt.

Kyle picked him up and smiled at him. "How is my favorite brother in the world."

Liam looked at him blankly. "I'm your only brother."

'Well ... not really,' Kyle thought with a wry smile.

"I'm glad you're better now, but you need to return to your room, I'll call peter to come check up on you." Eliot said.

"Umm, actually, I need to go visit Zac," Kyle said while dropping Liam on the ground.

"There is no way you are leaving this house, go back to your room and rest," Eliot said angrily.

"But I'm feeling kind of light headed," Kyle said while looking at his mom. "If I get some fresh air i think I'll feel better."

"Honey let him go out for a bit," Vanessa said, smiling at Eliot. "Besides, he's not sick anymore, so let him go get some fresh air."

"No wa-" Eliot didn't complete his statement or rather he couldn't. Because while Vanessa looked like she was smiling, it clearly didn't reach her eyes,"

"Kyle, you can go, but don't stay out long," Eliot said nervously.

"Thanks mom," Kyle said while walking towards the door. 'We both know you lose every time it comes to mom, but you still keep on trying, I'm proud to be your son, hehe.'

As Kyle opened the door to step out, he couldn't help but turn back and take another look at his family.

While he did know the love he felt for them wasn't originally his, he couldn't deny the fact that it was there.

And he didn't hate it one bit.

'I couldn't ask for a better life, maybe having two families isn't so bad. Just wait guys, I'll return to earth and then we can all be complete.' With those thoughts in his head he stepped out.

Making a vow in his heart to protect them all. No matter what it takes.

And considering the state of Baronia, keeping that promise wasn't going to be easy.

For the first time in a very long while, I didn't oversleep. We were being led to the academy by our ever present guide. And with every step I took, I could hear my heart beat more forcefully. Like it was trying to break free from my chest. We kept walking till we found ourselves in a garden. Tall trees and colorful flowers were sprawled out before us. And behind us was a dazzling city. The contrast was as clear as day. "Beyond this garden is the academy," our guide said. "It will take us about two hours to cross it, then you will undergo your awakening." Listening to his words, I couldn't help but wonder. Who builds a garden this big? "Looks like our suffering has already begun," Zac murmured beside me. I nodded grimly in agreement. And so, we continued our journey. And if there was one thing I was sure of, it was that greater levels of torment was waiting for us on the other side. ...............................
