The car maneuvered through the bustling traffic down on the street.

A pair of cold, unblinking eyes tracked the vehicle's movement from high above until it vanished around the bend. Seth stood behind the tinted glass wall of Lucian's skyscraper office, glaring down at the street like a hawk watching its prey.

Seth saw everything—including the disgusting moment Max devoured his wife's lips on the sidewalk just minutes after handing over the forged DNA sample. Yet, Seth hadn't moved an inch or lost his temper.

Instead, he casually sipped his Earl Grey tea.

On the plush sofa behind him, Dustin slept soundly, completely exhausted from running around the spacious office. Lucian, of course, hadn't minded the child's behavior at all; the top-tier lawyer even let Dustin play with his incredibly expensive golf ball collection.

"Perfect." A hollow laugh, quiet yet dripping with pure murderous intent, escaped Seth's lips.

"Forgive my presumption, Mr. Corbyn," Lucian's baritone voice shattered the silence. The lawyer stood respectfully two steps behind Seth.

"But... why didn't you order me to catch them red-handed just now? Considering you already hold all the evidence of their fraud in your hands."

Seth didn't answer immediately. He kept his gaze locked on the corner where Max's car had vanished.

"You know, Lucian," Seth's voice flowed softly, yet it made the room's temperature feel like it had plummeted several degrees. "Months of suffering from slow poison... feeling your organs rot away until your body turns into nothing more than a breathing skeleton..."

Lucian unconsciously swallowed hard. The horrifying description made his skin crawl.

"...Their cheap betrayal cannot be paid with a punishment as light as prison or merely exposing their lies, Lucian. A quick death is far too easy for them."

Seth's eyes glinted terrifyingly as the city lights illuminated half of his face. "I want them to climb to the absolute peak of their fake hopes, and right when they think they own the world, I will personally kick them down to the very bottom of hell."

Lucian bowed his head, offering genuine respect to the man before him. He felt confused about which part of his life Seth was referring to—since Seth looked perfectly healthy right now—but he dared not ask.

However, Lucian now completely understood why Grand Master Alistair favored this grandson so quickly. The cold, calculating blood of a ruthless tyrant truly surged through this young man's veins.

"Mr. Alistair Olympus left a message," Lucian added. "He stated that he is more than ready to play along with your scenario."

Seth smiled faintly, placing his teacup on the table. "Good. I am glad my grandfather also possesses a rather cruel sense of humor."

[Main Mission Update: Major Retaliation (Phase 1) – Bait Swallowed!]

Seth blinked, mildly surprised. He hadn't expected the System to chime in so soon.

[Target Status: Locked inside the trap.]

[Phase 1 Reward: +15 EXP]

[Current EXP: 60/100]

[The target's extreme mental and physical suffering has not yet occurred. Awaiting the trap to snap completely shut.]

'Stingy bastard,' Seth cursed inwardly. He was almost sure the EXP reward would be big.

He forced himself to swallow that curiosity for now. This system refused to give him free meals; he had to earn his revenge.

"Perfect," Seth whispered, looking away from the window. "Lucian."

"Yes, Mr. Corbyn?"

Seth locked his gaze straight onto the lawyer. "Grandfather mentioned he wanted to introduce me to the other Olympus relatives. When?"

Lucian looked mildly surprised but immediately bowed in compliance. "I can arrange it. But those relatives... It would be best if you didn't raise your expectations, Sir."

"Why?" Seth stared at Lucian. The warning sounded serious.

"They are like a pack of starving wolves constantly eyeing the Olympus throne. Are you certain you wish to meet them?"

"Wolves?" Seth chuckled softly, a sound that made the hairs on the back of Lucian's neck stand up. "Excellent. I happen to need some new toys to tame... at the very least, they will keep me from getting bored while I wait for that stray dog down there to dig his own grave."

Three days later.

Max knew the score. He knew exactly who he was meeting and where, yet sheer awe still struck him the moment he arrived at Alistair's private residence. The castle-like mansion remained hidden from the main road—an exclusive fortress that only the apex of society even knew existed.

Max stared at the stone walls lined with mahogany shelves soaring to the ceiling, packed with thick volumes and priceless artifacts. He almost smiled, imagining that such immense wealth would soon fall into his grasp.

"You don't look like I imagined. You don't resemble Lonan at all."

Alistair Olympus sat behind his massive desk, staring directly at Max with eyes sharp enough to cut glass.

Max Wagner sat across from him with a rigid back. Cold sweat trickled down his temples, even though the room's air conditioner blasted at maximum capacity. He desperately ignored the sharp, stinging pain from his fractured ribs beneath his suit.

He had prepared his excuses perfectly, yet Alistair's piercing gaze still intimidated him deeply. One truly could not underestimate the supreme ruler of Olympus Corp.

"I take after my mother." Max managed a polite smile after swallowing hard.

His racing heart calmed slightly as he watched Alistair nod.

"It seems so. After all, DNA doesn't lie." Alistair pointed at Max's DNA report on the desk, which naturally showed a one hundred percent match—because it belonged to Seth.

Max's eyes gleamed wildly. His heart pounded with sheer euphoria. 'I did it! Wealth, power, everything is mine!' he cheered internally, totally oblivious to the fact that the old man in front of him already knew he was a complete fraud.

However, before Max's triumphant smile could fully bloom, Alistair raised a hand.

"However, blood alone is not enough for us to accept you into the Olympus family," Alistair continued coldly. "Olympus Corp. is a global business empire. I will not hand over control to a fool who only knows how to spend money."

Alistair tossed a thick leather folder onto the desk. It slid smoothly and stopped right in front of a highly confused Max. He hadn't expected another test.

"That is the profile of a struggling mid-tier pharmaceutical company, BioCore Inc. Your test is simple: Take over the company within one month. Use your own methods. I will not give you a single dime of capital from Olympus. Prove to me that you possess the brains to bear this family name."

Max swallowed hard. A loud ringing noise filled his ears.

Take over a company?! He was just a mid-level manager at his old job. He knew absolutely nothing about corporate acquisitions, hostile mergers, or stock wars! More importantly, where could he possibly get the massive capital to buy a company?!

Dead panic crept into Max's chest, but his towering ego smothered it. He couldn't possibly look stupid and weak in front of the old man holding the keys to his billionaire fortune. If he backed down now, he would lose everything.

Max straightened his back again, forcing a stiff, arrogant smile. He picked up the folder with his trembling left hand, being careful not to agitate his cast-encased right arm.

"Of course, Grandfather," Max answered, desperately trying to make his voice sound convincing. "This... is not a big deal. I will not disappoint you."

"Good. You may leave. Your time starts now."

As soon as the heavy double doors of the study shut tightly, hiding Max's departure, the stiff, intimidating aura in the room instantly melted away.

From the second-floor balcony connected directly to the study, the sound of slow footsteps echoed down the spiral staircase. Seth walked down casually, both hands slipped into the pockets of his tailored trousers.

Alistair leaned back in his wheelchair, loosened his tie, and looked at his biological grandson with an amused smile. "How was my act? Did I look ruthless enough?"

Seth chuckled softly. "Flawless, Grandfather. Thank you."

Seth walked closer and sat in the exact chair Max had just occupied. He stared at the stack of documents on the desk. Truthfully, Seth felt genuinely amazed by his grandfather's cunning mind.

Initially, Seth had only asked Alistair to give Max a large sum of fake investment funds to manage. Then, Seth planned to manipulate the market from the shadows to make Max suffer massive losses and fall into unpayable debt.

It was an effective plan, though Seth felt a bit shameless for using his grandfather's money as bait. However, Alistair outright rejected the plan and instead turned it into this 'company acquisition test.'

This method was far more elegant and brutal, relying purely on psychological pressure and corporate warfare tactics.

"Are you going to test me too, Grandfather?" Seth asked challengingly, the corner of his lips curling upward.

Seth leaned toward that thought because he realized his grandfather's words to Max were entirely true. Olympus was too massive to accept a main family member unconditionally.

Alistair laughed heartily. He opened his desk drawer and tossed an identical leather folder right in front of Seth.

"Of course. Your test is to destroy him," Alistair said, his eyes flashing sharply. "Beat him in this project. Buy the company before he can, and make sure you crush him completely. And just like him, you cannot use a single dime of my money."

[Main Mission Unlocked: Monopoly War!]

[Objective: Take over BioCore Inc. and ensure the target (Max Wagner) loses absolutely everything in the process.]

[Potential Reward: +100 EXP and point]

Seth's eyes glinted lethally as he read the notification. A hundred EXP is huge.

"Alright," Alistair spoke again, diverting Seth's attention from his invisible screen. "You can deal with your little war against that street rat later. Prepare yourself for tonight; I am going to introduce you to the real 'war'."

Seth raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"My late brother's family," Alistair answered, his tone suddenly turning icy. "His descendants currently scatter across strategic positions within Olympus Corp. They are the starving wolves I mentioned. They will be your primary opponents from now on."

Alistair stared intently at Seth. "I invited them for dinner. You will attend. And you must bring your family."

Seth paused for a moment. The word 'family' sounded both foreign and utterly disgusting when associated with Leila.

"I will only bring Dustin, Grandfather," Seth said calmly.

Alistair frowned; his sharp instincts immediately caught on that something was wrong. "Family troubles?"

"Leila and I are separating soon," Seth answered honestly, hiding nothing. He looked straight at Alistair. "Do you see my broken marriage as a scandal or a bad thing that will tarnish the Olympus name?"

Instead of getting angry, Alistair merely snorted in amusement. The old man shook his head slowly, his expression filled with absolute indifference toward rigid social norms.

"A scandal? To hell with that," Alistair hissed. The old man rested his chin on his hand, staring intensely at his grandson. "The rule in this family is quite simple, Seth. What holds value to you holds value to me. And what is worthless to you... is equally worthless to me."

A smile slowly bloomed on Seth's face. He displayed no fake warmth, only a genuine acknowledgment of their equally cold-blooded ties.

"Thank you, Grandfather." Seth stood up, respectfully excusing himself. "I will go get ready for dinner."

Seth didn't want to waste time either. He already knew exactly how to defeat Max in this corporate acquisition game. Even without Alastair's financial help, he could easily pull it off.

It would indeed require a massive amount of money to buy a company. Fortunately, Seth already knew exactly where to get it.
