Harry's nose flared, his frustration palpable. “What the heck!” He growled, his finger dipping into his palm. “Why are you tormenting us with Mr. Liam's influence?”

Anthony chuckled, amused. “My influence, not Liam's,” he corrected him. “I'm not the one tormenting you but you—both of you—are.”

His chuckle disappeared. His expression became more serious. “Now, do it again. Gently and politely prostrate at her feet, then apologize.”

His words cut every part of Harry's body. His eyes turned red with anger, and his hand balled into a fist at his side.

He tried to argue, but Aubrey silently growled, ensuring he heard it. He turned to look at him, his expression dark and like one ready to strike him if he dared to protest.

Harry swallowed hard and nodded slowly. “Alright, we'll do so.”

Before they could take any step, Sarah stopped them.

“Please, don't do that. I'm not God that you should bow to,” she said, shaking her head. “But I don't want to see any of you close to me again,” she added,

As Anthony stepped out of the room, Sarah shook her head, a satisfied smile on her face. “He's such a nice person,” she commented, glancing toward the door, as if she were seeing him. “So rare to find someone so loving and caring like him.” At some point, she felt her stomach twist with a strange feeling. Her smile still lingering as she stood rooted at a spot, admiring his personality. Just as she was lost in thought, her phone vibrated on the sofa and started to ring, pulling her out of her thoughts. She reluctantly took it, glanced at the screen and her face seemed to experience a slight change as she stared at the person calling. “Dad?” She murmured, her heart racing. She had totally forgotten she didn't pass the night at her place yesterday, and seeing her father calling, reminded her of everything now. Her finger hovered over the screen, as if considering whether to decline or accept the call. With a huff, Sarah swiped up the green button and put the phone close to

Sarah paused, looking at him. Her expression slightly changed as she dropped her phone to respond. “Actually,” her voice cracked with emotion as she started. “She's no more.” “Ah!” Anthony exclaimed, staggering back slightly, completely shocked to the bone. He shook his head sadly, sympathizing. “So sorry about the loss on a supposed happy day.” Sarah smiled faintly, her expression sour. “It’s something painful, honestly, but I've moved on, letting go of the past.” She said “It all happened on my 21st birthday when she fell sick,” she continued. “And as if she knew she was going to pass away, she handed her small company—all built by herself—to me as a gift.” Sarah took a breath, tears forming in her eyes. Anthony's face turned pale as he shook his head. He leaned forward, took Sarah's hand into his, squeezing it softly. “I can feel your pain,” he uttered, his voice calm and gentle. He looked at her, his eyes traveling straight into hers to keep her strong. He continued qui

“We're sorry if this is coming late,” a lady from the kitchen, covered in an apron, quickly said, her voice apologetic, as Anthony opened the door for her. “No,” Anthony said quickly, shaking his head, “you actually came at the right time.” The lady walked further into the room, with a tray of dishes in her hands. She placed it on the table, poured the bottles of water into the glasses, and lifted the lids from the dishes. The aroma of the dishes wafted into the air. Anthony closed the door, walked closer, and inhaled. He nodded, allured, but his casual expression masked it. Straightening up, the lady said, smiling. “Everything's perfectly cooked. I'm certain you'd love it. And please, when you do, give your honest review.” Anthony nodded, returning her smile. His voice was genuine as he replied. “Sure thing. I definitely will.” The lady looked at him, happy. As her gaze shifted, it fell on Sarah, who stood by and watched. She glanced at her, admiration seeping through h

Anthony sighed, shaking his head. “You saw nothing.” He leaned back on his seat, crossing his leg. “I made sure to keep them tight….but if you want to see, I can s—” He replied, trying to tease. But Sarah shook her head, interrupting. “Don’t worry, I don't want to.” They both chuckled, looking at each other. After a brief moment, Anthony stretched his body and stood up. “I know you must be hungry,” he said, glancing at Sarah. “What would you like for breakfast?” He asked. Sarah yawned lightly, standing up also, as she took in the beautiful room. “Anything will serve,” she replied. Anthony sighed but didn't bother pressing further. He nodded and walked over to a nearby table. Grabbing the telephone on it, he punched in a number and sent it. “Hello? Good morning to you, sir. How may we help you today?” A polite female voice came through from the other end of the call. “Calling from room number 003 at the penthouse. I need two dishes of fried rice and chicken alongside two bott

The night went by and a new day broke forth. The morning sun shone through the yellow thick curtains into a grand, spacious room. It flicked into the eyes of a young lady, who lay on a bed.Her skin was smooth, glittering under the sunlight. Suddenly, her eyes fluttered open—partially—as she looked half-awake. Her head was pounding with a headache, and her body felt heavy and sluggish. As she shifted slightly on the bed, her eyes opened wide—completely—fully regained consciousness.“Heck!” She shouted, jolting awake as she glanced around the room, trying hard to recall how she ended up in this room.“Where am I?” Sarah yelled again, pulling herself out of the duvet and totally off the bed. Anthony, who didn't look close to waking up soon, jerked awake from the sofa. “What, what is that?” His heart skipped a beat as he thought a thief had broken into the room. Fully awake and sighting Sarah, he exhaled, his panic disappearing. “It's you!” He remarked, casually taking a seat. Recog

The drive was quiet and smooth through the night until it pulled over, the gate glided open, letting it drive in peacefully. The black Mercedes-Benz AMG shimmered as it drove straight to the parking lot under the dimly lit surroundings. Right after it parked, the door opened gently and Anthony stepped out of the car, his expression calm but composed. His eyes briefly scanned around the hotel before he proceeded to the back door. “Good evening, sir. I'm elated to see you arrive. I've been bothered about you since you left in the evening. What's the matter?” A voice asked, clearly concerned It was the gate guard. When he opened the gate, he recognized that the car belonged to Anthony, so he decided to rush by to ask if all was well. “Everything is fine. Thank you for checking,” Anthony answered without giving him a glance. He was so worried about Sarah's state. The gate guard observed that something was off, even though Anthony responded politely to him. He swallowed
