Chapter 7: Rescue and revenge

When humans are in danger, they tend to think more about saving themselves, but when they are entrusted with something more precious than their lives, they make sure its protected and safe at all cost.

The masters could have fled for their lives when they sense the impending danger looming over them, but they choose not to, not because they can't, but because the fate of the students lies in their hands.

“All activities should stop right now, all students should kindly move to the teleportation circle now.” Mr. Geo yelled atop of his lungs, he materialised from the thin air and landed on the ground.

The sudden fear of death makes the student feel numb; some can’t even get themselves composed to move their legs, thoughtless of running towards the teleportation circle. Despite the far distance of the incoming beast horde, their savagery and terrifying aura has already occupied the vincible section domain which makes the student shiver in fear, and lose their sense of thought.

“Physic mages, pacify their minds, let them regain control over their body and drive away the terrifying aura occupying their minds.” Mr. Geo yelled at teachers that are physics mage among the teachers.

“Pacify; Mind calming tone.” Three teachers stepped forward, casting a basic physic spell as fast as they can.

“Spread.” They chorus at the same time as they as they finished casting the spell, several energy ripples floated in the air as they make their way towards the students.

“Earth mages take control; we must leave this shithole of a forest before those damned beasts arrive here.” Mr. Geo ordered another group of teachers, but this time around saying it directly in their mind.

“Earth wave: Boundary barrier.” An advance earth spell was casted; two teachers who were earth mages were atop two different earth pillars that were casted by each one of them.

A huge sand dune rose from the ground, separating the students from the approaching horde of beasts, the first spell casted by the physic mages came into effect after the channel of the aura imposing fear in the students mind was blocked by the huge and enormous sand dune which appeared in the forest after the earth mages came into action.

“Runnnnnnnn.” They all yelled as they run towards the teleportation circle. They all ran with their energy as they were no longer under the torment of the beast aura, and they no longer feel numbness again in their body.

“This is bad,” a teacher said.

“What is it?” Mr Geo inquired.

“The horde of beasts are been led by two king tier beast, and one emperor tier beast.” The teacher who stood beside him said with an expressionless face said before opening his eyes that has been closed since the beginning of the chaos caused by the beast.

Mr. geo froze on spot after hearing what the teacher had to say, his heart palpitating due to fear; not because he was doomed but because the lives of each students are at risk, his legs feeling numb, his state of thinking in a complete disarray, his whole mind in a complete mess.

“Space compass: Axis of death.” Mr Geo casted a spell impulsively, after hearing what the teacher had to say.

“Mr Geo, stop." your impulsiveness would only endanger the lives of the student and the other teachers.

Mr Geo withdrew his half casted spell after listening to the teacher; his mind encroached in fear as he thinks about what to do next.

“Tell all the teachers to retreat to the teleportation circle is, while we buy them more time for its activation.” The teacher said as his aura surged wildly, murderous intent broke free from his shackles that has been binding them down for years, the man aura skyrocketed like an automobile in an over drive mode..

"Space rift: Blink.” A circle diagram intertwined with triangles appeared under the man’s feet, it glowed vividly. The diagram tore open and a silver eye blinding light pierce out of the diagram, it encapsulated the teacher before he disappeared out of sight.

Amidst the chaos that was happening at the front, Mr. Geo and the teacher that was standing by his side some minutes ago appeared, floating atop the students that were running in a disorderly manner all with the aim to get to the teleportation circle before the horde of beast reaches them.

“All teachers retreat and activate the teleportation circle as fast and possible.” The teacher voice rang throughout the forest audible enough for the teachers to hear him.

“I repeat, all teachers should retreat to the teleportation circle.” The teacher that was afloat in the air blared as he stare down at the teachers who were casting spell to keep the horde of beast at bay, they also stare back at him as their heart was filled with fear and terror, one; because of what is at the back of the huge and enormous sand dune coming for them, second because the teacher who was floating in the sky giving orders to them never do so except if the situation is getting out of control.

“Space rift: Encompassed teleportation.” The teacher said as several silver light flickers encompass each students that were on the run, including the teachers that refused to listen to orders, the light encircle them for a moment before they were teleported away to the teleportation circle.

“Geo, would you just keep standing there?” The teacher shouted as he jolted Mr. Geo back from his trance mode.

Mr. Geo was apparently standing on an elevated platform created by an earth mage; he was standing alongside four sword masters who were teachers at Brion knight’s academy. He turned his back to face the four teachers.

“You all must make sure that the students are all safe and the teleportation circle is activated on time,” Mr. Geo said hastily.

“Remember, there's not much time, go now.” Mr. Geo said before he leaped into the air and headed straight to where the other teacher that called him was.

A luminous light encapsulated every single soul within the teleportation circle, though the teleportation circle is within activation, the student never felt at ease, due to them not having hope in the two head teachers of the two academies. The first one is Mr. Geo, the head teacher of Brion knights academy, while the other one is Mr Leo, the head teacher of Brion mages academy. They had both stepped forward when they discovered that the situation has become dire and it can’t be handled by the ordinary teachers anymore.

The situation was still favourable to them when the horde of beast started charging in their direction, they could still activate the teleportation circle on time and go back to Brion town, but everything changed drastically when they discovered that the horde of beast were led by two king tier beasts, and one emperor tier beast at the peak of evolution onto the next tier. The teachers and the head teachers could still deal with two king tier beasts, but there’s a probability of fifty percent death if a emperor tier beast is involved, not to talk one that is at the peak of evolution to the next tier, the Supreme tier.

The students were still uneasy despite being far from the oncoming horde of beasts, some were trembling vigorously due to fear, while some were sitting inside the wide teleportation circle lifelessly, only a few could still retain their calmness with the teachers among them.

“Beasts, beasts, beast, beast.” Everyone went into frenzy immediately two spooky and hideous heads poked their heads out from two opposite positions, they stare at the helpless students with an unparallel malicious intent, they are over ready to gnaw their teeth on these petty humans bones, they’re impatient to tear these humans ribs apart with their claws, the two spooky and hideous creatures whose heads poked out of the forest scan the area within the teleportation circle tentatively, they spread their will across the area which the teleportation circle dominates, a skill which only a humanoid beast can posses, they didn’t discover an aura that pose any threat to their existence, thus, they charged out of the forest straight to their death.

The teachers had concealed their aura to such a state that it cannot be detected either by someone who is level lower than them or a level higher than them, they concealed themselves very well among the students so as to lure out the two beast in the forest. The two beasts that were hiding behind the trees were overjoyed when they realized that no one among the student pose a threat to them, they both charge out of the forest from different direction, one attacking from the right while the other was attacking from the left.

Despite the hideous and scary face the two beasts possessed, they both had limbs just like the humans. A humanoid beast, the most scary and savage species among the beast race. This types of beast are the most dangerous because they possess intelligence just like the human. Amidst the period the beasts used to run towards their prey, the ground become sticky trapping the feet of the students, leaveing them with no choice of escape.

“Sticky mud: entrapping domain.” The two beasts mumbled simultaneously, as they casted an earth spell, turning the soil to a thickened mud which entrapped the students feet, resisting any form of movement from them through their lags. The two beasts were elemental beasts which made them to be able to cast magic.

The beasts lunged at their prey by jumping into the air, they stare at the helpless student midflight as they descend from above, their lips separated from each other, revealing blood red teeth as they wore a malicious smile. An earth mace materialized in both of them hands as they nearly land in the midst of the students.

“Exterminating slash: Demon strike.” Four sword masters yelled simultaneously as they all sprang up from the middle of the students at the same time; they paired each other in twos as they all ascend towards the descending beasts. Two sword maters went after the first beast that was coming from the right, while the other two went after the second beast that was coming from the left.

The two beasts were taken aback by surprise, their faces contorted in fear as the descended rapidly towards the student. Though, one out of the beasts strength can match up to the strength of the four sword masters, but when taken out by a surprise attack by an enemy, they're powerless like a mice looking for an escape route out of a cage.

The four sword masters, had already caught up to the descending beasts, the first two sword masters body glowed in crimson hue, their swords coated in the same aura as they wrap their qi energy around their swords.

“Swoosh.” They slashed down on diagonally, the beasts has no chance to react nor does it has any way to react, even the earth mace that was in its hand seem extremely useless. The beast died a fast death, its face bore an expression of confusion and fear, as it land lifelessly on the ground, no blood gushed out of its dead body, its body shrinks rapidly at a very fast rate, a body that was two times huge than a normal human was nothing but an infant now.

Its body burst open before it turns into a puddle of sand, this is the price that most elemental beasts do pay after their death, if it’s a fire type of elemental beast, its body would have burst open into flames and merge with its soul before it turns into fire flies and travel straight to a fire domain; a place where its soul would be tortured before its turned into a fire soul grade seed. Same thing do happen to earth elemental beasts, it would turn to a puddle of sand, merge with its soul, mix with the soil and find its way straight to a earth element domain; a place where it soul would be tortured by nature, and turned into a soul grade earth element seed that is used to nurture mages.

“Gbam.” The second beasts body hit the ground as the two other sword masters used the same technique on it, its body also shrink.
