Luck was feeling very uncomfortable sitting at the same table as Kamira, her overwhelming power was too much for Luck to handle, the silence was bothering him indescribably, Luck had this feeling of danger, he wanted to leave that table but before he could even stand Kamira stopped him

"Sit down kid, I ordered food for you so wait until it arrives, as you can see I'm currently eating that's why I'm quiet, as soon as I finish my food I will explain everything"

Kamira's words calmed down Luck

"Thank you so much! you didn't need to order me food though, so about Caroline..."

Luck tried to ask, but Kamira quickly interrupted him with a deadly stare, Luck instinctively stopped talking, Luck thought that if he continued to speak he would die, Kamira's death stare was interrupted by the waitress

"There is your food sir, the meal we prepared for you it's a Pasta Alla Norma, after you are done with your lunch call us so we can also deliver your dessert"

the waitress told him in English, Luck was amazed by the smell of the food, it was his first time seeing such a well-made dish

"Sorry but you have to take your dessert in a package, I just got notified by the agency, that the other new member arrived, so get ready we are leaving"

Luck wondered, but didn't ask Kamira about it, he told the waitress about his sudden leave, she quickly prepared the box that contained the dessert and gave it to Luck, Kamira and Luck quickly left the restaurant, a big black car was waiting for them outside, there were 2 big sized men, one was holding the door of the front seat open and the other man was holding the back door open

"Greetings Ms. Kamira we will accompany you to our base!"

one of the men said, Kamira ignored him and entered the front seat, the man then closed the door and sat on the driver's seat, Luck sat on the back, and so did the other man, the 2 men remained silent throughout the whole car ride, Luck was feeling even more uncomfortable than when he was in the restaurant, Luck stared outside the window so he can ease himself, Palermo was a beautiful city near the sea, the whole place reminded his island, the only difference was that Palermo was way more modernized, Luck realized that the car slowly drove outside the city, it concerned him a little

"umm... miss Kamira, where are we exactly going?"

"We are escorting you to the UMP's base in Italy, our base is 2km outside Palermo!"

the man sitting beside him said, Luck didn't expect him to answer, he was taken by surprised by his deep voice, Luck then tried to pass time by being on his phone, but as soon as he pulled it out of his pocket the man took it from his hands

the man told him

the man apologized, Luck wasn't hurt by what he said because when he heard "your generation" his brain automatically turned off so he didn't hear a word, besides that small incident the car ride was calm, after 30 minutes the car stopped outside a huge empty area, Kamira and Luck got out of the car and the car then drove off

"We finally arrived! Luck allow me to grab your arm"

Kamira said as she extended her open arm, Luck didn't hesitate for a moment, he quickly grabbed Kamira's hand

"Don't worry I know the drill!"

he said as he smiled, Kamira smiled back, she then entered an already set up mana zone, the mana zone was a place that reminded Luck of those offices that he usually saw at American tv shows, the place wasn't so big but a lot of people were rushing all over the place

"So what do you think? it isn't what you expected right?"

Kamira told him with a smile, Luck was amazed by the place

"Whoa what the hell! Caroline explained to me what mana zones are but I didn't expect it to be like this, this is a completely different place than what it was"

Luck replied with excitement in his voice, after a moment of appreciation a person that worked in the mana zone walked up to Kamira and Luck

the person told her, the person was clearly in rush

She told him, Luck quickly snapped back into reality, Kamira then lead the way to her office, once the both of them entered the room a surprise waited for them, the moment Kamira opened the door a familiar voice said

"You are finally here boss! what took you so long?"

it was Caroline, she was sitting on top of Kamira's desk, a girl was beside her, at first glance it was hard for Luck to tell who she was, but as they walked closer he was shocked

"DESTINY? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?"

"LUCK?"

they both yelled in surprise

"Hey! keep it down you 2 be more polite to the boss!"

Caroline lectured both of them

"I respect your maintenance of hierarchy Caroline but it's unnecessary, now would you please exit the room, I want to talk to them in private"

"Yes ma'am!"

she said as she left the room, Kamira gasped

"Both of you take a seat, we will now discuss business"

Destiny and Luck took a sit in the 2 chairs that were laying in front of the desk, Kamira sat in the fancy chair of her desk

"I assume that you 2 know the reason that I brought you here, you appear to show signs of mana, we also found out that you 2 possess a bigger mana pool than the other people, just to inform you Kesio, your country, even though it is a small country it has the highest percentage of mana users per population, you may not have noticed but multiple of your fellow islanders have begun to make illegal trades with mana zones, the last time I sent Caroline to check up on the island that produces salt and what did she see? she found 2 guys hiding equipment that was stolen from our cargo ships, keep in mind that our ships travel inside a mana zones..."

"We get all that but the thing is that this is a job right? but you haven't explained to us the basics and other important stuff"

Luck interrupted her

"I apologize, it seems that I got into the problem before I tell you about your jobs, you signed the contracts so this marks that you are interested in working with us, the agency will pay you 10.000€ a month each, if you provide important information or you accomplish an important mission you will be awarded extra money or equipment is up to you to decide, before you can go to your first mission you will have to train so you can use mana and some basic abilities that are exclusive to your attribute, after you complete your training I will assign you both to a mission, am I clear?"

Kamira described to them, both of them nodded, they seemed to understand

"When do we start out training? if it's possible I would like to start by tomorrow!"

Luck said, he was in need of money so he couldn't afford to wait

Kamira said, Luck and Destiny got up and exited the room, Caroline was waiting for them outside

after some walking, they reached Luck's house but the door was unlocked, Luck immediately froze when he noticed that his house has been stolen

"I figured you didn't know how to use mana zone to enter the house! but I didn't expect that you didn't know how to hide your presence!"

Caroline told him, the man was mortified by her appearance

"Luck get ready for your first real fight against a mana user!"

'I'm screwed!'

Luck thought as he got ready to defend his property
