"This is the egg the merchant gave me... But what is it doing here? And why is it so big?" Paltio wondered aloud, watching in amazement as the object radiated rainbow flashes while extinguishing all light around them, plunging the area into near-total darkness. "Doesn’t this seem strange to you?" he said, turning to Golden, who also appeared intrigued by what was unfolding before their eyes.

Suddenly, the egg shot a brilliant flash toward the sky and began to crack open. The ground beneath Paltio’s feet trembled with each fracture, as if the entire world were on the verge of collapse.

"I think it’s going to hatch," Toco-Toco remarked, eyeing the egg cautiously.

"Well, aren’t you quite the genius," Golden replied sarcastically, though his tone betrayed concern.

"So soon…" Paltio murmured, watching as the egg continued to break apart. With each fragment that fell, the ground shook more violently, sending up small clouds of dust. Finally, the egg split in two, and the pieces crashed to e

Paltio had never been separated from his friends since the journey began. Now that they had been captured by Zor, he felt utterly lost. He couldn’t simply abandon them, search for the scepter piece, and leave as if nothing had happened."That damn Zor… Who does he think he is?" Pax—actually Lukeandria in disguise—muttered, her voice simmering with restrained anger. "He can’t just override a high-ranking soldier of the Red Shadows like me.""But he’s right," Golden interjected seriously. "They weren’t included in the agreement with Tejod.""Yes… Poor Alita," Nakia added, lowering her gaze with concern."I hope that fool doesn’t break under pressure," Chiki remarked, referring to Ron."All of this is my fault…" Kilibur whispered, crestfallen. "You shouldn’t have rescued me. Ugh! Why does everything go wrong just when we were making progress here?" Paris exclaimed, frustration evident in her voice.Mok remained silent, watching Paltio with concern. He knew how much it pained him to see h

Kilibur placed his index finger on Paltio’s forehead and connected him to the search plane. However, this time, the environment wasn’t as distorted as before."Why does it look normal?" Paltio asked, glancing around curiously."Well, that’s because of my power," Kilibur replied with a smile. "I’ve removed all illusions from this place, leaving it in its original form: a clean space without so much madness.""Alright, let’s focus on why we’re here," Paltio said, regaining his composure.Suddenly, Rykaru appeared floating beside Paltio. The prince sighed, still wondering how the little creature managed to sneak into these moments unnoticed.A door opened in front of them, revealing a long passageway. Kilibur pointed the way."You must follow it, Paltio."The young prince advanced with Rykaru in his arms, while Golden suddenly appeared next to Kilibur."Hey, you should’ve asked me before doing that," Golden said, crossing his arms."Yes, but there was no time," Kilibur responded with a m

  • 78.An Odd Escape

The great flash momentarily blinded everyone and caused Rykaru and Paltio to connect mentally. Inside his mind, Paltio was deep in thought when suddenly he saw a small white ball floating toward him."Rykaru! What are you doing here?" Paltio asked, surprised as the little creature landed on his head."Well… I don’t know," Rykaru replied innocently. "I was desperate because you fainted. Also, Lukeandria said that if they captured us, they’d experiment on me, and I don’t want that! Or to be separated from you…" His eyes began to fill with tears as he continued, "Then I was going to cry, but I accidentally touched you with my ears, and suddenly… I appeared here! What is this place?"Paltio frowned, looking around."This is supposed to be my mind… But it’s strange… I can’t sense Golden anywhere."Suddenly, a deep voice resonated through the space. Before them appeared enormous eyes that seemed to contain entire galaxies, like windows into infinity."What are you?" Paltio asked, his voice

Moments earlier, Kilibur had been removed from the machine when something strange began to happen across the realm. Slowly, the citizens stopped repeating—or even thinking—the words that had dominated their minds for so long: “We are all friends, and Mejod is a great leader.”However, shortly after, emotions and thoughts began to shift. The citizens no longer carried out their daily tasks; instead, they felt strange, confused, as if something within them had been altered. Gradually, they began interacting with one another, noticing unsettling details: some figures in armor, who once wore the colors of the realm, now bore dark uniforms marked with a distinctive purple insignia. It was clear they had been under a powerful illusion, but now that illusion was starting to fade. The citizens, feeling a mix of curiosity and alarm, began gathering in small groups that quickly grew in number. Plazas and streets filled with people murmuring among themselves.“I think we’re under attack by the P

Paltio shouted as he dodged a laser beam. The feline shot toward him, understanding the situation."It won’t catch me as easily as that foolish chihuahua… meow," Toco-Toco remarked, referring to Chiki with his characteristic sarcasm."Master Paltio, I see you have a plan," Mok said as he prepared one of his rings."Yes, I do, Mok, but it’s hard to get close to that thing," Paltio replied, watching as the toad launched another attack."Alright, I’ll help you," Mok declared with determination."I’m in too!" From the walls emerged several enormous eyes, and from them shot beams directly at Paltio and his team. They were on the verge of annihilation when Mok, with astonishing speed, used his knives as reflective mirrors to deflect the attacks, saving them from certain death."Thank you, Mok," Paltio said, exhaling in relief."That was too close," Paris murmured, still trembling with fear."We need to get Kilibur out of there soon," Golden urged, his voice tense with urgency."No! Friend, run… That monster is extremely dangerous," warned the young fox, his voice heavy with anguish."We’re not leaving you here," Paltio responded firmly. The eyes fired laser beams again toward the group, but Mok once more countered them with his knives."Master, if you’re going to free him from that machine, do it quickly.
