‘I still have a billion, what will I struggle to get again?’

After the system notification message, he minimizes the screen. His black eye glass was still on him when the manager brought his special order.

“Mr Scott, your food is ready. Take your time and enjoy the great meal” after serving him, she left.

Scott couldn't withstand the pains Hunger had caused in his stomach, he immediately washed his hand. He grabbed his fork and started eating.

He had never tasted a delicacy prepared with one of the costliest spices before, but have heard several men attesting that. He had never even dreamt of tasting it. A quick smile appeared on his face as he enjoyed every bit of the food.

He was still eating when a thought ran through his mind. How he got here, the picture of each incident that happened appeared to him as he blinked his eyes. Immediately he lost his appetite, with his eyes full of anger.

“I'll make Misha, Lucy and their co- Surbodinate bow for me.

“They can never escape my wrath till my mission is accomplished.” he whispered to himself as he drank his water served with his food.

After that, he bent to tie his loose shoe when he heard a loud sound coming from the door.

“Come on darling, let's enjoy every bit of our lives.

“Let's live our lives to the fullest together.

He lifted up his eyes and fixed his gaze on Jack with his girlfriend.

“J-Jack”?

Jack was Scott's classmate in high school, both of them were Medicine students in final year but Scott couldn't graduate with him and as such he lost it. He wasn't awarded the Certificate of doctorate degree. Before he could get one, he must study for an extra six years again.

Jack was exceptionally good in his academic performance compared to Scott. Jack always uses that opportunity to insult Scott because he had backup from his teachers and students.

He gave Scott a nickname “Mr. Almost”

During Scott's several attempts to pass a particular exam. Jack consistently mocked and insulted Scott on a daily basis after he failed to pass.

“Come on babe sit here”

Jack ordered her girlfriend. He still had no Idea of who he was sitting close with.

He requested for food as his girlfriend and him ate together.

Scott, still wearing his glasses, bent his focus against him. This act alone caught Jack's attention.

“Why are you staring at me like that?”

“Is there any problem? Huh..”

“Why is he silent over your questions? Is he dumped?” Jack's girlfriend muttered as she laughed. 

“Maybe I think so. He must be a dumb person”

“Let's continue and  forget about this dumb fool.”

“Well. I'm not as dumb as you think Jack”

“But I'm the mate you know”

Scott removed his glasses as he spoke gently with his gaze fixed in Jack's eyes.

“W-what! Scott?”

“Yeah it's me, your statue of mockery”

“I was thinking you'll be a beggar by now. a thief, or you'll rather be dead” Jack said. 

“Your arrogant lifestyle is still embedded in you” Scott said with a quick smile

“Who the f*ck are you to direct me on how to live my life Huh…?

“Just common Scott, Mr Almost”

“Someone who always failed his exam. an illiterate being”

“Alright. I'm warning you for the last time, change your arrogant lifestyle else..”

“Else what? you poor bastard, did you think this restaurant is for a poor man with a stinky cloth like you?”

“How did you even get in here?”

Scott glanced at the screen only him can see.

The balance was like a glowing sun. He smiled for a while.

“You're wasted,” Scott said as he smiled at him. Jack became angry hearing Scott's statement.

Jack called the manager immediately

“Hello Miss. Rhoda come to the V.I.P corner now it's urgent”

A few minutes later the manager arrived. He saw Scott sitting facing Jack in an unpredictable manner.

“What's the problem Mr. Jack” Rhoda asked 

“Miss. Rhoda, why did you let this poor bastard get in here?”. Everyone stared at them as murmuring filled the hall.

“I'm irritated by his looks and appearance. And I think this will be my last time here”

“Please Mr. Jack, we treat everyone equally due to the goods you can purchase.

“Don't beg me Miss. Rhoda. 

How can I dine with such person” Jack said 

Jack stood immediately with his girlfriend ready to leave, he brought out his debit card and handed it over to Miss. Rhoda to pay for the food he had ordered.

“You'll never ever see me here again Miss Rhoda.” Jack said.

“Mr Jack, your balance is very low below your payment” she said looking at him quietly.

“What!”

“It's not possible. Check it again”

“It's still the same sir. Your balance is $2 and your f*e is $500.” Rhoda said as she showed him the proof on his phone screen.

Everybody started grumbling again. Jack's drama was not perfect after insulting Scott, he had no money to pay.

He looked miserable and frustrated with his girlfriend held in her arms. He couldn't speak as he was covered in shame.

“Mr Jack, I'm sorry but you'll be held behind bars till you pay the money.” Rhoda said .

Jack's face became pale instantly. He couldn't believe his ears he's going to be held behind bar for $500

‘This is the perfect time to strike and show this dude a lesson of his life’ Scott whispered to himself as he cleared his throat and broke the silence.

“I'll pay on his behalf, Miss. Rhoda.”

“I'll double the payment making it $1000 instead of his initial debt of $500”

“Alright Mr. Scott”

Before everyone's eyes, the manager received the alert. Everyone was amazed that someone paid another person's debt by doubling the amount.

Controversy was thrown along with everyone with Scott's singular act.

Jack stood like a ghost filled with shame and regrets he couldn't say a word as Scott moved closer to him.

“This is just the beginning of your downfall”

“I'm not longer the Scott you knew years ago”

Scott laughed as he walked out.

As he passed through the entrance door, he saw the two officers who interrupted him initially and then smiled.

Immediately they saw his smile, they both bowed down. After seeing what he did.

Outside the luxurious restaurant, Scott stood pondering on what to do .

Scott looked at the phone in his hands, the screen was broken but he saw one thing for sure. His mother's picture is set as his wallpaper.

“Mom I'm coming for you.” he said to himself.

Scott wanted to take his leave when he heard his name.
