The next day.

Very early, Jacelyn got dressed in readiness to visit Celestial Brand.

Francis on the other hand was done preparing breakfast and doing his morning chores.

Jacelyn looked at Francis, “I have to meet with Jones at Celestial Brand in the next ten minutes. He has promised to help me secure a contract there.”

“Oh, that's good to know. Can I accompany you?” Francis uttered.

“Of course,” She replied.

Using his scooter, they soon arrived at Celestial Brand. He ensured the scooter was properly parked.

When they approached the entrance door, they saw a young man standing.

The man was dressed in a navy-blue suit and had eyeglass on.

The man was none other than Jones Loryd.

The moment Jones saw Francis, he frowned and crossed his arms over his chest.

Furiously he asked, “Francis, why are you here? Do you want to use your ill-luck to distort our aim?”

Faking a smile, Francis said. “Don't be crossed with me. Jacelyn requested that I accompany her here. I promise to be out of your sight till you are done with your aim here.”

Jacelyn sighed, “Francis is right. He'll wait outside while we go in.”

Jones couldn't help but throw a disdainful gaze at Francis.

He was pissed that a beautiful woman like Jacelyn ended up with a piece of trash like Francis. If he had a chance to choose between Jacelyn and Yusi, he was definitely choosing Jacelyn.

“Left for me, you are not needed here but because of Jacelyn I'll permit that you stay. Don't get into trouble a**hole.”

Jones sneered.

Quickly, Francis spoke. “How dare you speak to me in that manner?”

Jones laughed and said, “And who are you?”

Jacelyn was infuriated by Jones words but she had to be calm since he was about to help her. She was about to say something when Francis spoke.

“I will show you who I am. You'll regret your words.”

Francis uttered with a darkened expression.

Jones was surprised that Francis had the nerves to talk back at him. He waved it off because they were in a public vicinity otherwise inwardly, he was ready to break Francis' limbs.

“Let's go,” Jones gestured for Jacelyn to walk in.

Meanwhile, Williams who had been expecting Francis' arrival had to return downstairs to check if he had arrived since he wasn't picking up his call.

The moment Williams locked eyes with Francis, Francis passed an information via his eyes and body language; indicating that he should go back and he will follow after him.

Williams and Francis entered same elevator but silence filled the air.

They arrived at an office where a young man who looked handsome was seated with a file before him.

The man bears the name, Silas Anthony. He has been the Deputy manager of Celestial Brand for a long time. Because of his value to the company, he received an award annually from the company.

Some documents have to be transferred to the new chairman who is a member of the Gad’s family.

Silas was shocked to see that the new chairman was dressed in cheap clothing. Since Williams was by his side, he had no choice but to be polite and get straight to business.

“Good day, Mr. Gad.”

He bowed slightly with a brief smile.

Francis sat at the head of the chairs arranged round a mahogany table while Williams and Silas sat facing each other.

“Let me have the documents,” Francis uttered.

In less than five minutes, Francis was done signing the required documents.

Francis was now the chairman of Celestial Brand.

“Congratulations!” Silas and Williams chorused.

“Thanks.” Francis replied with no emotions evident in his voice. “I want my identity to remain a secret. You'll continue to oversee the affairs of the company.

Silas gave a nod. For a member of the Gad's family to appear so cheap and humble, then there had to be a reason for it.

“You have nothing to worry about. I promise to always give my best, sir.”

Just then, Silas’ phone rang. He was skeptical to answer but Francis gestured for him to go ahead.

“Hello Tehilla.”

Tehilla was the head of the human resource unit and everything that had to do with the company’s partnership.

“Jones Loryd is here with a young lady who wants to secure a deal with us.”

The voice on the other end said.

“Jones Loryd? Is the lady representing one of the big shot establishments?”

“Not at all.”

“What's her name?” Silas asked with furrowed brows.

“Jacelyn Carl.”

“Jacelyn Carl.” Silas repeated after Tehilla.

“Who is Jacelyn Carl?” Francis asked, feigning ignorance.

“I'll get back to you in a jiffy.”

Silas uttered and hung up.

“Sir, I don't know her. She came here with Jones Loryd. Jones Loryd’s family just secured another deal with us using one of their new ventures. They've been our partners for over a decade. We've sent the amount to be invested as agreed. We've also signed the necessary documents but I don't know why he is here now.”

Silas answered politely.

“Cancel whatever deal Celestial Brand has with the Loryd family. Request for a refund of the money invested in their business. You have just ten minutes to do this.”

Francis uttered coldly.

Silas was confused and wondered what the Loryd's family offence was. The situation was far beyond him, he had to obey the boss.

“I'll do that right away.”

“One more thing. Jacelyn Carl is my wife. Grant her whatever she request. Remember my identity must be kept a secret.”

Williams, who was quiet all along, couldn't help but sigh. The fact that his wife, Jacelyn didn't know the true identity of her husband left him speechless.

Francis collected Silas' phone number and made his way outside.

Meanwhile at the human resource office, Jones and Jacelyn were seated across a table with their attention fixed on Tehilla.

At that moment, Silas walked into the office, looking furious. He said.

“Jones Loryd, something came up. Your family's deal with Celestial Brand has been anuled and a refund of the invested amount has to be made in the next two hours.”

“Is this a prank?”

Jones laughed.

How could they terminate the deals they had just signed?

Silas sneered, “Leave now! You and your family don't have business here.”

“Please there must be a mix-up somewhere.” Jacelyn said calmly.

That point, Silas admired her beauty. When he remembered she was the chairman's wife, he waved his dirty thoughts off and his stern look disappeared immediately.

“Ma'am, I know what I am saying. Jones has to leave now. He is being punished for his actions.”

Francis explained.

“We would leave then, Jones. You can come back later to rectify things.”

Jacelyn said with disappointment evident in her tone.

She was here to secure a deal, they hadn't heard her out but they were asked to leave.

“Only Jones should leave, I will attend to you myself.”

Silas spoke with a bright smile.

Tehilla gasped. She couldn't wrap her head around the whole thing. The deputy manager was delighted to meet Jacelyn but was harsh towards Jones, a member of a first-class family.

Jones was adamant to leave so two security guards had to bundle him out and throw him out like a bag of thrash.

Jones winced in pain as he tried to stand up. Francis laughed and that angered him.

“What is funny?”

Jones yelled.

“Nothing, now you are the real a**hole who has gotten into trouble. Don't you regret your words now?”

Francis hissed.

“I will…” Jones couldn't complete his statement when his phone rang.

It was a call from his elder brother, Elias.

“You've ruined us, Jones. Celestial Brand has cancelled all the deals they have with us. We are now bankrupt.”

“How is it me?” Jones said with a teary voice.

“Get home now. Father awaits your explanation. Be ready to face his wrath!”

The call ended.

The news about Celestial Brand cancelling their deals with Loryd's family spread like wildfire.

Francis picked his phone and sent Silas a message, ‘Good Job!’

He got a reply almost immediately, ‘Thank you, boss.’

Meanwhile, Silas welcomed Jacelyn to his office. He was more polite than she had expected.

“Ma’am please have your seat. Do you care for anything?”

“No! Thank you,” Jacelyn replied with surprise evident in her tone.

“Let's get to business then,” Silas smiled.

“I…”

She couldn't complete her words as she was interrupted by Silas.

“I know why you are here, the head of the human resource department told me earlier.”

“Okay,” Jacelyn sighed.

“On this deal, we will invest seventy million for a start.”

“Wow!”

Jacelyn was gobsmacked.

Silas hadn't gone through her proposal but he had given her a contract with a huge amount as an investment.

Securing a deal with Celestial Brand was never so easy and fast!

“Are you comfortable with that or should it be increased?” Silas asked softly.

“Y-Yes it's enough.” She mumbled.

Was she dreaming?

In no time, the documents regarding the deal were prepared by Tehilla.

Jacelyn signed the appropriate space and left with mixed feelings.

Happy she got a contract but sad that Jones' contract was terminated.

All through their discussion, Silas never mentioned Francis. He was careful with his words so as not to reveal Francis' identity.

Few minutes later, Jacelyn, holding the contract returned to meet Francis.

“I don't understand what is happening, Celestial Brand terminated their deals with the Loryd's family but at the same time, I got a contract. The Loryd's family are involved in various business with branches outside Kentic City but the Carl's own is only pharmaceutical aspect.”

Jacelyn said fearfully.

She remembered that Francis assured her that she would secure the contract.

She continued, “Francis, I feel somehow about this. It shouldn't have been this easy for me. Do you know who is behind it?”

Francis went to the door, placed his head on it and said. “Jace, you’ve been in there for a long time. I understand how you feel but let me in. Other great opportunities will come again, your family do not worth your tears and worries.” Soon the door knob turned and Jacelyn allowed him in. “Francis, I feel terrible. Great opportunities? What opportunities can be greater than this one that I have lost with Celestial Brand and now, I am also jobless. My Mom will make life unbearable for me.” “I have heard enough, I’ll bring your food now or you have to divorce and marry one of the men your Mom wants for you.” Francis laughed. “Do I blame you? Of course not!” Jacelyn smiled and watched him leave the room. In a jiffy Francis was back with the tray containing her food. Slowly, she ate. Francis watched her closely. Just then Clara approached and stood akimbo. “You can't be screaming here. Do I have to remind you that this is not your house?” “Whatever!” Thompson uttered. Keren couldn't help but giggle. “You call this a house? If only you had enjoyed luxury for a day then you'll know better.” Clara parted her lips slightly in readiness to utter a word but was interrupted by Jacelyn. “Here is the contract, all the best.” Jacelyn handed the contract to Thompson. “It's a good thing that you are not stubborn. I might consider talking to grandpa to give you a job at the company even if it's just being a clerk.” Thompson uttered with a sly smile. Jacelyn was still
