Mello got to his mansion and helped the girl into his room.

He noticed the absence of the maids as they ascended up the spiral stairs.

Once in his bedroom, he gently laid her down on the bed, her delicate hands clinging to him, unwilling to let go.

" Please stay" she whispered, with eyes half closed after he managed to remove her hands.

Mello smiled and took his time to examine her face.

She was clearly beautiful with a curvy body too hard for any man to resist.

Her skin was clear with no sign of blemish.

Her neck and wrist were adorned with diamond necklace and bangles.

Mello wondered who she was.

Anna walked in after. She wanted to ask who the lady was but thought it would be wise not to say a word.

" Help me take care of her, please." Mello said, turning to Anna.

" Ok ... but you have blood on your shirt. Are you hurt in any way? Should I arrange guards for you? Is anyone trying to harm you? Your father clearly emphasized that your safety should be top priority." Ana's concern was evident.

" No, it's fine." Mello assured her with a casual wave of his hand " And one more thing, I'd prefer not to have the maids around, they make me feel uneasy and I prefer staying alone " he said and departed to the living room without waiting to hear her response.

He got to the living room and sat down releasing a sigh of tiredness. The sunlight filtered in through the curtains making the living room more brighter.

Mello yawned, his mind oblivious to whatever was displaying on the TV.

it was still morning and he was already exhausted from helping the lady.

" Sir, your tea is here " a maid came from behind, dropping a tray in front of him.

" Thanks, " he said and smiled.

" Need anything else sir, "

" No, I'm okay " he added, and the lady turned and left.

He decided to shut his eyes a bit and that's was when he dozed off.

It was almost evening by the time Mello woke up to the sound of a lady screaming from his room.

At first he thought he heard things until the screams came the second time, making him jump up and rushed upstairs, his heart pounding in his chest.

He opened to see the girl screaming and went closer to her, his face contorted with concern.

" What's wrong " he inquired, but the girl pushed him away

" Who are you? Where am I? Tell me now! " she demanded, her voice trembling with fear.

" Really? I guess you won't remember much with how drunk you were earlier. You drink too much for a lady huh? " Mello replied and the girl scattered her hair.

" Shut up, and what!!! " She screamed again when she noticed the blue gown on her body.

" What did you do to me? Where's my clothes? " She shouted giving Mello a death glare.

As Mello was about to talk, the phone beside the girl suddenly start ringing.

The girl stopped and picked the call.

Fear was clearly written on her face

" I'm fine, Dad. I'm sorry" the girl said nervously.

" I don't know where I am but I'll put on my GPS now"

" Ok dad, I'll be home in few minutes" the girl said and dropped the call.

She shot Mello a glare.

" Easy, nothing happened. I only helped, that's all." Mello tried explaining, while the girl checked her body.

" Thank your stars" she hushed and got off the bed

The girl looked around then back at him before packing her things.

" You must be the maid here, Take this for helping me" the girl said and dropped some money on the bed table.

Before Mello could talk, she already dashed out of the room.

Her card was on the bed which she forgot to pick.

Mello took it and chased after her.

Before he could get to the living room, she was already out of the building.

Mello smiled and sneered while looking at the blue card signifying she belongs to the Top 10% in the city.

Barnes was written at the edge.

What a crazy girl she is.

He thought and dropped the card into his pocket and sat down smiling to himself.

He heard footsteps and turned his head to see Anna.

" Anything? " Mello asked smiling.

Ana let out a breath and said

" Ok, I'll just go straight to the point. Your father wants you to represent him at Daily X and, you got just 30 minutes to prepare."

" What! " He exclaimed but she was already gone before he could finish.

Mello felt his head blown away.

Daily X enterprises.

Even a newborn baby knew about them due to their great popularity in Los Angeles.

And he's going there as a heir.

The thought aroused a sweet feeling in him.

Two girl walked in, one held a suit while the other was holding shoes.

They dropped it on the bed and left.

Mello smiled.

The weight of his heritage was starting to bore into him.

He got up and went into his room to freshen up.

Soon he was done dressing, and he took the blue card with him.

He checked himself in the mirror and must admit he looked nothing like his old self.

He got out and moved down the stairs to see Ana seated with legs crossed.

Ana stood up when he got to her and smiled.

He walked out with her and met about twenty new Porsche waiting with securities behind them.

It was a display that could go unnoticed.

He stopped and turned to her" Is this necessary? " he asked and she smiled

" What do you expect for being the only son of the richest family in the country, I'm sorry but this is the least I could do. " she nodded walking into one of the cars and Mello followed suit.

And slowly, one after the other, the cars followed in slow procession.

Somewhere, At the same time a stout wicked looking man was seen in a grand room talking to his subordinates.

He was angry that the girl was not captured.

" How did she escape? explain!" He yelled banging his hand on the table causing his subordinates to tremble.

" We don't know, sir. We clearly drugged her drink and was certain she consumed it but we don't know how she left the resort, "one of them said, hiding behind the others.

" What do you mean you don't know! Do you all want to die! Get me my gun! "

" There was a man sir. He saved her." The bulk one among them said, stepping forward, his nose clearly bandaged.

"Rubbish! So you mean just one man stopped you? " Sir Ren fumed, rising from his seat.

" Who is he and how dare him interfere in my business! .. Get him here before dusk. I'm going to punish him myself when I return." Sir Ren walked out and entered his car, followed by some of his security personnel.

" Take me to Daily X " he fumed and the car drove off.

Mello smiled politely as he rose from the plush leather chair. “Thank you, President,” he said, his tone measured, careful not to let the adrenaline that still pulsed through his veins leak into his voice. He turned to leave, but before he could take more than a step, Sir Asher’s voice stopped him. “It’s late, Mello. Why don’t you stay here tonight? Get some rest.”Mello paused, his back to the man, and allowed a moment of consideration to pass. The offer was laced with something more—an unspoken test. Was this an olive branch, or was it bait? Either way, he couldn’t stay.He smiled, glancing over his shoulder. “I’m a man of time, and unfortunately, I don’t have much to spare at the moment. I appreciate the offer, though.”Sir Asher studied him for a second, then gave a curt nod. “Very well,” he replied, his face expressionless, though the calculating gleam in his eyes hadn’t faded.Mello turned and headed for the door, walking with an air of calm composure, though every nerve in his

It looked more like a city than a home. The Prime Minister looked polished and composed, as expected, but Mello knew beneath that facade lay a man tangled in a web of corruption. “Let’s skip the pleasantries,” Mello began, his tone firm and unwavering. “I’m not here to exchange small talk. I know about your dealings with Sir Ren.”Sir Nerio feigned confusion, raising an eyebrow. “What dealings? I’m not sure what you’re talking about, Mello. You must be mistaken.”Mello couldn’t help but smirk at the Prime Minister’s naivety. “Mistaken? Really? I have video evidence of you in a room full of drugs, discussing shipments with Sir Ren.” He pulled out his phone, swiping through the screens until he found the video. He pressed play, and the room filled with the sound of laughter echoing from the screen. The footage showed Sir Ren and Sir Nerio, surrounded by piles of drugs, their faces illuminated by the dim lights of the room.
