Mello scoffed, thinking it was all some bad joke orchestrated by Lisa.

" Stop it. I don't know what Lisa put you guys up to, but it's enough, please. Just stop before it drives me insane, " he said, stretching his palm to Ana who stood smiling.

" And where am I? " He asked, his eyes still savoring the beauty around him.

" Your new home, your father wanted you to have it, " she answered coldly.

Mello's body shivered from the shock with his heart racing rapidly.

He could tell from her face that she was serious.

His father?

He had been an orphan all this life, how come he suddenly have a Father?

His grandma never told him anything about his father, so he assumed he never had one and yet, it seemed like he was from a rich family.

Ana walked closer and smiled, handing him his phone.

" President Buster would like you to have this token till he returns to speak with you. He is currently in a meeting in Africa and would join you soon. " she said as Mello collected the phone.

Mello saw a notification pop up on his phone and opened it.

His heart skipped a beat when he saw the figures.

" Hun... Hundred Million dollars!!!! " He screamed, his eyes wide with disbelief.

He grabbed his chest as he felt his heart could explode from the shock.

" Are you okay, Mr Buster? Should I call a doctor?"

" No, I'm fine, " he said, trying to calm his breathing.

He had never seen that amount of money before and the thought of it was all his own shocked him more.

He was nowhere near poor again, and finally, Lisa would be his when she finally knows how rich he had become.

But then again, the thought of suddenly having a father drifted into his mind.

His tears clouded his eyes when he remembered all his sufferings.

" Why now? Where had he been all this time?

Did he know how hard I was humiliated and punished? How difficult it was for me to cope?... And all of sudden, now he remembers me. Did I even mean something to him? " Mello said, staring at Ana with sad eyes as she sat beside him.

" President Buster had been searching for you for many years, young master. He even had to put a secret bounty of fifty million dollars to whoever finds you, and it was only by chance we managed to locate you." Anna said.

" I'm sure this will clear your doubts, " she added handing him a black card.

" This is your family badge and your symbol of identity. it was specially made upon request of president Buster for you. Only two of those cards exist in the whole of Los Angeles: one for your father and this one here is for you. "

Mello collected the card and observed it.

His name was engraved in gold at the bottom left of the card indicating it was his.

Ashley group of companies was also written in small letters beside it.

His eyes widened as he saw it.

" Ashley group???"

Anna smiled" Yes, and it belongs to your father. "

Mello shook his head, utterly overwhelmed.

Ashley Group was the biggest group in the whole of Los Angeles, they were so big they had so many companies under them; hospitals, malls, hotels, cosmetics ,pharmaceuticals, and a lot more.

Even a new born baby in Los Angeles could tell you all about them due to their fame.

They were like the OG of Los Angeles, and the best news is that he's the heir to every single one.

He laughed out loud.

" Can you excuse me for a moment?" he said, and Anna nodded before walking out of the room.

It was all too much, and he needed time to process what was happening.

He checked his phone again to confirm if the money was really there and laughed to see it was.

He was about to get up when he noticed a pair of white shirt and blue jeans on the bed and hurriedly changed into it.

He didn't need to check the mirror before he knew he looked good.

He waited for Anna for come back in, and when she didn't, he decided to go out.

He stood up and went out of the room and took the spiral stairs leading to the living room and gasped in awe.

The living room was so big, it almost look like a football pitch to him. There was beautiful art and decorations placed at every corner of the room and everything in the room seems to scream wealth.

As he got down, he was surprised to see loads of maids bowing down at the sight of him.

He felt embarrassed

" No no no, you don't need to do that " He said laughing to himself.

" Thank you Master Buster " with that, the maids turned and continued their chores, some were cleaning the sofas and couch, other putting things in their right place. It was funny that they all had to answer to him.

He smiled and walked past. As he got to the main door to open, a guard rushed over and opened the door for him to pass. He nodded and walked out

Mello wowed to himself at the sight as he stepped out.

The compound was really big and beautiful. There was a round pool that almost surrounded the house and was demarcated with a big white staircase

There was securities standing guard at each corner of the building.

He felt so happy he owned everything. He just can't wait for Lisa to see this and shamed his in-laws who thought he would never amount to anything.

He saw a big fleek Benz parked at the side of the building.

It was the kind of car that spoke of wealth and class, and jumped in to display his newfound wealth.

With that, he drove out of the building and into the street.

Halfway into the estate road, a car collided into his, creating a dent on his vehicle.

Mello angrily stopped and alighted.

He was so angry he wanted to know who hit his car.

Although the black jeep in front of him also spoke of wealth but he didn't care, he was rich now and much more confident.

His face softened when a beautiful lady walked down from the vehicle and fell to the ground after taking few steps.

Her long black hair fell over her face, making it hard for Mello to recognize her.

It was obvious she was drunk, and Mello got closer to help her up.

It was still early in the morning, and Mello wondered why a lady would chose to get drunk at this time of the day.

He raised her head into his arms and stared at her face, her skin was flawless and white and her red lips were moving on their own.

It was enough to make Mello smile.

He raised his head, and seeing no one around.

He sighed and was about dropping her when suddenly, her brown eyes flew open and stared directly into mello's own.

She smiled widely with heavy eyes, then fell asleep in his arms.

WHAT!

What is he meant to do with her?

He dropped her to the floor and stood up to leave .

But his conscience kept holding him back.

He turned back and stared at her, contemplating whether to help her or not.

At the same time, a bulk man came to him with a stern look.

" Just get out here fella. Leave her alone unless you'd like to get hurt! She's mine to deal with! " the man threatened, and Mello smiled.

He ignored and helped up the girl into his vehicle

As he made to leave, the man growled and tried to attack him, but he was quick to grab the man by the collar and punched him hard twice on the nose, making the man stagger backward and fall.

" Argh! You'll pay for this!! " The man fumed when he saw blood rushing from his nose.

He tried to stop the blood with his hands but it kept gushing out.

Mello wiped the blood on his knuckles off on his white shirt while giving the man a dangerous look.

" You're lucky I didn't break your mouth instead" Mello said as he got into his car and left.

Mello smiled politely as he rose from the plush leather chair. “Thank you, President,” he said, his tone measured, careful not to let the adrenaline that still pulsed through his veins leak into his voice. He turned to leave, but before he could take more than a step, Sir Asher’s voice stopped him. “It’s late, Mello. Why don’t you stay here tonight? Get some rest.”Mello paused, his back to the man, and allowed a moment of consideration to pass. The offer was laced with something more—an unspoken test. Was this an olive branch, or was it bait? Either way, he couldn’t stay.He smiled, glancing over his shoulder. “I’m a man of time, and unfortunately, I don’t have much to spare at the moment. I appreciate the offer, though.”Sir Asher studied him for a second, then gave a curt nod. “Very well,” he replied, his face expressionless, though the calculating gleam in his eyes hadn’t faded.Mello turned and headed for the door, walking with an air of calm composure, though every nerve in his

It looked more like a city than a home. Mello settled into the plush booth, his heart pounding as he faced Sir Nerio. The Prime Minister looked polished and composed, as expected, but Mello knew beneath that facade lay a man tangled in a web of corruption. “Let’s skip the pleasantries,” Mello began, his tone firm and unwavering. “I’m not here to exchange small talk. I know about your dealings with Sir Ren.”Sir Nerio feigned confusion, raising an eyebrow. “What dealings? I’m not sure what you’re talking about, Mello. You must be mistaken.”Mello couldn’t help but smirk at the Prime Minister’s naivety. “Mistaken? Really? I have video evidence of you in a room full of drugs, discussing shipments with Sir Ren.” He pulled out his phone, swiping through the screens until he found the video. He pressed play, and the room filled with the sound of laughter echoing from the screen. The footage showed Sir Ren and Sir Nerio, surrounded by piles of drugs, their faces illuminated by the dim lights of the room.
