Chapter Two - A day to remember

" Is he going to be fine? " Lisa said as she walked out with her mom.

She thought she was going to feel better but instead, she was worried about him.

It was probably because she had never seen him this angry.

Ma Clarissa noticed and smiled.

" Stop thinking about him, he doesn't deserve to have you, Andrew is there to help you through, Okay?" she said and Lisa nodded, forcing a smile.

**

Mello sat on the bed, memories of Lisa flooding his mind.

He remembered how she laughs to his bad jokes, her little smiles whenever she eats his food, how she loved to be pampered by him whenever she finished long photo sessions and wondered where it all went wrong.

He got up and went out of the room, his guilt trailing after him.

The house was all quiet now so he figured, Lisa's mother and her daughter must have left.

He walked out and stared at the mess over the dining table and sighed before starting to clean up the mess.

By the time he was done,he was exhausted and decided to wait for Lisa on the couch untill he fell asleep.

It was late in the evening when Lisa returned.

The sound of the door bell was what woke Mello.

Immediately she got in, she flung the bag of gifts she carried on the couch to clearly show she was angry. Mello, who was seated there, stared at her but said nothing.

" Mello!! " Lisa called angrily. " Are you planning on going this far? God! I never knew you were this horrible!"

Mello was stunned. He couldn't understand her accusations but said nothing.

" Ohh you think you can just throw my mom and sister out of my OWN house and I'll be fine by it? Just because we had a little argument! Is this really who you are ?" she gasped, covering her mouth expressing her disappointment.

" What?! "

Mello's brow furrowed in shock. He hadn't done what she's accusing him of. Ma Clarissa left on her own accord, She must have fed Lisa with lies to turn her against him. He could tell Lisa was very hurt with the way she spoke and wondered how much lies she fed her.

Mello slowly closed his eyes and reopened them before facing her.

" Lisa. Don't you trust me? Your Mom lied... I would never do such—"

SLAP!

Tears slowly welled in mello's eyes, not from the slap but from her choosing to believe her mother over him.

" Lisa, I... I didn-"

" Stop it." Lisa declared, her voice trembling with emotion. "I won't tolerate any more of your lies, you overstepped your boundaries this time, Mello, and I won't forgive you for it." she said, gasping.

She stopped for a moment, staring directly into his eyes.

Mello could have sworn he saw guilt and pain in those blue eyes. He hated that he was the reason she was that way.

He attempted to speak but words failed him.

" I think this is it," Lisa said, letting her tears fall as she made a painful decision " I can't do this anymore. Let's end this marriage."

Mello's legs grew numb after hearing Lisa's last sentence. He allowed the tears he had been holding fall freely down his cheeks.

He could bear her mother's hurtful words, the insults, everything but not this.

Yet, the truth in those words pecked at his heart.

What if she's right?

What if it was something they both needed?

He used his hand to wipe his tears.

He hated the thought that he had to let her go but it was the best decision for both of them.

He was undeserving of her, He brought her nothing but troubles.

Wiping his tears, he looked up to see her sobbing.

" It's okay, Lisa. As soon as you get the divorce papers, let me know and I'll come over and sign them. You deserve someone better, someone more deserving. And I wish you find the happiness you truly deserve," That was Mello's last words as he left the room.

Lisa fell to her knees and cried harder.

Her heart hurt and she doesn't know why.

And her tears flowed free in return.

She turned to the window and saw how dark it was outside and wondered how he'll survive the night alone.

She suddenly felt a lump of guilt in her throat for what she just did.

" He'll be fine, He'll be fine " she assured herself then got up and went into her bedroom.

She stopped and looked around.

For the first time over a year, she could sense the heavy feeling of emptiness and quietness that now filled the room.

Meanwhile, at the same time, Mello wandered alone through the dark street. He had no money with him to go to any hotels so he had no where to sleep.

His grandma who brought him up was dead due to a failed surgery a year ago so He had no relatives or family to go. It amused him to think that he had always been lonely every since his grandparents died.

As he walked along the road, he came across a billboard displaying a commercial featuring Lisa and he smiled sadly.

"I loved you Lisa, know that I truly did, " he hushed under his breath as he lowered his head and walked away, ignoring the cold stare he got from a beggar seated few feets across.

He got tired and decided to sit beside the road, watching the cars pass by. His phone beeped but he was too engrossed in pain to notice.

Suddenly, four black Porsche parked right in front of him, so close, he almost fell from the shock.

He fumed and was about to protest when six dangerous looking guard came out followed by another three. They were all dressed in black suits.

A curvy girl holding a black tablet also joined them.

From the way she dressed, he could tell she was someone important.

They all stood, staring at him in surprise.

The girl stared first at him then at her tablet, and nodded back at the guards.

" Master!!!!" They all yelled in harmony making Mello flinch from his spot.

He tried running away but the guards chased after him.

He didn't even know why he was running but he ran faster, and they kept chasing after him

A car was coming his direction, and he tried turning crossing over when one of the guards suddenly grabbed him.

The guard carried Mello up effortlessly like he was some paperweights. Mello kept kicking his legs in the air, struggling to free himself, but when the stern man looked down at him angrily, Mello knew it would be better not to anger these men and kept quiet.

They took him and placed him in the car where Mello saw the lady again. He tried shouting for her to help him, but someone covered his mouth with a handkerchief.

Slowly his world went into darkness.

It was the next day morning when Mello finally woke up

He felt hands on him, and fear gripped him when he recalled what happened the night before.

The slender hands continued to move all over his body and it made him nervous from his sleep.

He opened his eyes in shock and saw five women in white silk surrounding him.

They were applying some weird stuffs on his skin and worse of all, they were doing it all while he was stark naked.

What's going on?

Why are these women taking care of him?

Or was he kidnapped?

He questioned himself as he was too shock to say a word or do anything.

He looked around, the bedroom was spacious and white.

Sunlight poured in from the side window making the marbles etched on the wall sparkle.

Beautiful lights hung from the ceiling making the room more brighter.

He sat well on the bed admiring the beauty that surrounded him.

" You are awake young master, " one of the ladies said with a beaming smile and his head rang.

Mello blinked his eyes twice making sure he heard her correctly.

Minutes later they were done, they covered his body with a long white towel jacket and bowed before leaving.

A lot of questions rushed through his mind.

What was he doing here?

He don't even know where he is.

He looked at the beautiful room he was in and knew it must have cost a huge fortune to afford.

Whosoever brought him here must have done so on purpose.

The frustration was almost killing him when a beautiful lady entered, holding a file.

It was the same girl that was with the guards the night he was taken..

She wore blue armless blouse that matched with a fitting shorts of the same color.

She smiled on seeing him.

" Master Buster, I'm glad you are awake. You can call me Anna Henshaw ." The lady walked over to him.

Master Buster?

This is really getting out of hand.

" Woah miss, Careful... I think you must have mistaken me for someone, I'm not any one's master. I'm just some poor guy you kidnapped on the street. I'm sure this is all a misunderstanding," he said, slowly moving away from her.

The lady chuckled.

" I'm sorry we had to resort to that, Mello. You would have never agreed to follow us willingly I'm deeply sorry for resorting to such means. Forgive my manners,"
