Jason woke up feeling different. For the first time in his life, he wasn’t struggling to survive. He had power now. And he was going to use it.
He stared at the white walls in his room. He still isn’t used to the mansion’s vast area, and the place screams wealth and dominance. His mind was still in the process of accepting that he’s Jason Falkner now, and Jason Reed is now gone.
His grandfather handed him a sleek, black VIP credit card over breakfast.
"This has no limits. Buy whatever you want."
The Black VIP card was a credit card with no limits. It was a limited edition card offered only to the wealthiest families in town. If happened to own one of this card, everyone will know that you hold power to the society.
Jason stared at the card, turning it between his fingers.
He wasn’t used to this kind of luxury. But if he was going to play the part of a powerful man, he needed to start living like one. He might as well enjoy the privelege of being part of this family.
“Can I really buy anything I want using this thing? You mean, everything?” He looked at William, he wants to make sure.
The old man nodded at him as he sipped his coffee.
“Yes, you can even buy an island using that card. It’s yours to use, Jason. Use it. You are a Falkner, you should enjoy the privelege that comes with that name.”
"I need a car," he said. Well, he really wanted to own one ever since. But he was too poor to afford even a taxi.
His grandfather smirked. "Then go get one. Make sure to choose the most expensive car.”
---
Jason walked into one of the most expensive car dealerships in the city. The showroom was filled with the latest luxury cars—sleek sports cars, powerful SUVs, and elegant sedans. He could smell the richness in the air.
He looked at his clothes. Well, he doesn’t look too cheap, but he isn’t rich-looking either.
He walked towards a bright red sports car, running his fingers over the smooth metal. Just as he was admiring it, a salesman in a sharp suit walked up.
"Excuse me, sir," the salesman said, looking Jason up and down. His face twisted with disgust. "I think you're in the wrong place." He looked at Jason from head to toe and his faces winced. He was even about to vomit when he looked at his face.
Jason raised an eyebrow. "Wrong place?"
The salesman sneered. "This dealership sells luxury cars. They’re not for... people like you. Poor people don’t belong here. You can go out now.” He pointed the entrance.
Jason clenched his jaw. He had faced this kind of treatment all his life, but now, he had the power to do something about it.
It’s funny how people judge a person’s value through the way he dressed and through his looks. This society is evil.
"I want to buy a car," Jason said calmly. “And I think I am in the right place.”
The salesman laughed mockingly "Do you even know how much these cost? You can’t just walk in and dream, kid. Get out now or I will call security to drag you out.” The man said sternly.
Jason reached into his pocket and pulled out the black VIP credit card. He held it up, making sure the salesman got a good look.
"I’m not buying one car," Jason said, his voice cold. "I’m buying all of them. Every single car on display.” He held his head as he showed the Black VIP card.
The salesman’s smile faded. "W-what?" He looked confused.
Jason smirked. "You heard me. Call your manager. Now. I want to talk to him.. You’re an agent, you shouldn’t be insulting your customers.”
The salesman hesitated, then rushed off. A few minutes later, a man in a dark suit appeared, looking slightly irritated. When he saw the credit card in Jason’s hand, his expression changed instantly.
"Sir," the manager said, suddenly polite. "May I check your card?" He said it with so much respect, but fear was evident in his voice. He even glanced at the agent.
Jason handed it over without a word. The manager walked to his desk, ran the card through the system, and then went pale.
The screen confirmed Jason’s identity. Falkner. The heir to a multi-billion-dollar empire.
The manager stood up so fast his chair fell over. He ran back to Jason, bowing slightly. "Mr. Falkner, I—I didn’t know— I’m so sorry for the agent’s behavior."
Jason cut him off. "I want every car in this showroom. Deliver them to the Falkner estate."
The manager nodded so quickly it looked like his head would fall off. "Yes, sir! Right away, sir!"
Jason turned to the salesman, who now looked like he was about to pass out.
The manager glared at him. "You’re fired."
"W-wait! Sir, please!" the salesman begged. "I didn’t know—"
Jason gave him a cold smile. "Maybe next time, don’t judge a book by its cover. You should not be discriminating people just because they look rubbish. This should serve as a lesson.”
The salesman fell to his knees as security dragged him out. Jason watched him go, then turned back to the manager.
"Make sure my cars are delivered by tonight."
"Of course, sir!" the manager said, wiping sweat from his forehead.

Jason's mind wandered. He was sitting quietly in one corner of the VIP room, drinking an expensive wine. The amber colored drink sprakled as he stared at it. Everything felt so new, he was starting to feel overwhelmed. He remembered what happened in the gala last night.... it was something he's not prepared to experience. He only saw those kind of scenes in the television, now he experienced it first-hand. The ballroom still echoed with applause, though Jason felt strangely detached from it all. People surrounded him, smiles on their lips and fake warmth in their eyes. He had seen those expressions before—just not directed at him. They were masks. Every handshake, every compliment, every offer was a move on a chessboard. And tonight, Jason had become the king they all wanted to either serve—or dethrone. Jason’s eyes moved to the grand staircase where his grandfather stood, towering and proud. William Falkner had spoken his name to the world like a seal of power. But Jason couldn
