Bintang merely offered a faint smile in response to the girl’s words. He then began checking the pulse of the man resting in Clara’s lap, his brows furrowing to show the seriousness with which he was treating the patient.

“His condition is indeed very severe. The poison inside his body has already attacked his heart and is spreading toward his blood vessels.”

Clara’s eyes widened. “Is what you’re saying true? Then how are you going to treat him?”

“It’s simple,” Bintang replied calmly. “If you want the recovery process to go smoothly, don’t interfere while I’m doing my job.”

Taking out three acupuncture needles, Bintang began inserting them—one into the man’s forehead and the other two into his chest.

His task at the moment was to ease the man’s suffering through acupuncture detoxification. Although the poison would not be completely removed, this method would at least reduce the pain endured by the patient.

After pulling out all three needles, black blood seeped out from the puncture points.

Everyone could now clearly see the truth—

the head of the Cahyo family was not suffering from an illness, but had been poisoned!

“Th-this is really poison…” Clara stared at Bintang in disbelief. With just a single glance, the young man before her had already determined that her father was poisoned.

Wiping away the black blood, Bintang took out a small piece of paper and quickly wrote down several raw herbal ingredients that Clara needed to use to eliminate the remaining poison in her father’s body.

Looking at the prescription, Clara frowned.

“Sir, why isn’t this medicine something that can be bought at a hospital or pharmacy? And will this prescription really help my father recover?”

Bintang smiled faintly and said, “That is more than enough to make your father recover overnight. I’ve done my part—so you should know how to repay this favor, right?”

Clara fell silent for a moment, then finally understood what he meant. She reached into her pocket.

“Damn it… I always forget to bring cash…”

Clenching her jaw, her eyes began to shine. She quickly took out her ID card and handed it to Bintang.

“You may use this to stay temporarily at the Cahyo Hotel. I’ll personally bring the payment if the herbal medicine you prescribed really works.”

After glancing at the ID card, Bintang nodded.

A hotel owner?

It seemed Clara—and her family—were far from ordinary. Feeling that he had obtained what he wanted, Bintang casually walked off to look for the hotel managed by Clara.

“Who exactly is he? Judging by his simple appearance, he shouldn’t be someone wealthy in this city…”

“Miss Clara! How is your father’s condition?”

A chubby middle-aged man suddenly crouched in front of her.

“Doctor Tirta, you finally arrived! Can you check my father’s condition? A young man examined him earlier and tried to treat him,” Clara asked anxiously.

Understanding the situation, Doctor Tirta checked the man’s pulse. His eyes immediately locked onto the black bloodstains clearly visible on the man’s suit.

“Clara… who was the person that helped you?”

Clara quickly pointed toward Bintang’s retreating back. Seeing that, Doctor Tirta clenched his jaw, but quickly regained his composure.

“Your father isn’t feeling the pain he had earlier, but this is only temporary. Clara, take your father to the hospital. I’ll treat him.”

“Really? So that young man dared to deceive me?!”

“Yes. It seems he wanted to gain benefits using your identity. But your father’s health is the priority right now. Besides, he won’t be able to wander freely around this city after deceiving you, right?”

“…That’s true.” A chilling smile appeared on Clara’s face.

After walking through the streets of Cloud City for fifteen minutes, Bintang finally arrived at a five-star hotel, its entrance tightly guarded by two security personnel.

As he was about to enter—

“Stop! Beggars are not allowed inside this hotel!”

One of the guards immediately blocked Bintang.

Meeting the guard’s angry gaze, Bintang calmly took out Clara’s ID card. He was starving—there was no way he would be provoked by such a trivial matter.

“Th-that’s Miss Clara’s card… You—”

The guard stopped mid-sentence as Bintang cut him off.

“I didn’t steal it or take it by force. I earned it myself. If you keep blocking me, Clara might fire you.”

Both guards swallowed hard. Clara’s ID could not possibly be stolen or seized—it could only be given willingly. With no other choice, they stepped aside, standing frozen as they watched the simply dressed youth walk in.

At the reception desk, Bintang was met with another unfriendly reception. A woman answering a phone call deliberately turned her head away, clearly ignoring his presence.

Understanding proper etiquette, Bintang waited patiently. Five minutes passed—the call had ended, yet the receptionist still ignored him. At that moment, Bintang took out Clara’s ID card.

“I want one room. And have several portions of the most luxurious meals in this hotel delivered.”

“You’re joking, right?”

Without answering, Bintang merely pointed at the ID card. The receptionist froze instantly.

Reaching out to confirm its authenticity, she suddenly looked up at Bintang, her eyes trembling in disbelief.

“S-sir, please wait in VIP Room Number One. The staff will immediately deliver the meals you requested. Please wait!”

After entering VIP Room Number One, it didn’t take long before a knock sounded at the door. Luxurious dishes were soon piled up inside, making Bintang’s stomach growl wildly.

Before the attendant left—

“Sir, if I may ask… do you have a close relationship with Miss Clara?”

“Hmm, not really. We only met briefly.”

Hearing this honest answer, the attendant glanced around cautiously, then whispered, “Before you get any closer to Miss Clara, it’s best if you leave her side.”

“Oh? And why is that?”

“Doctor Tirta is the greatest doctor in this city. He’s obsessed with obtaining Miss Clara, no matter the cost. If he hears about your connection with her, your life will be in danger.”

“Thank you for the warning. I’m hungry—I want to eat. Leave me alone.”

Feeling slightly annoyed that his warning seemed pointless, the attendant finally left, while Bintang devoured the food voraciously.

Fifteen minutes later—

“Finally… my stomach is full. Did I eat too much?”

He muttered to himself as he took out the old cellphone given to him by his master. Bintang waited for messages from his five masters regarding his next mission.

But as midnight came—

“Did they forget?”

With an irritated expression, Bintang was about to close his eyes and rest.

Suddenly, a clear knock echoed from the door.

A wild thought crossed his mind.

“Hahahaha! I knew it! My masters must miss me, right? That’s why they came in the middle of the night!”

With burning excitement, Bintang rushed to open the door, his wild eyes staring forward—

But the moment the door opened, deep disappointment creased his face.

This is only the beginning of the great reckoning we must face.”They all turned toward the massive altar that had been destroyed. You resemble Qing Yuan slightly—you come from the bloodline of this nation.”The Shadow Lord fell silent, then burst into loud laughter. “That’s right! I am the rightful descendant—the blood that should have sat upon the throne! But my ancestors were cast aside, discarded, and hidden. Yet beneath that calm glow, Bintang knew a darkness was hiding—The Shadow Lord.Beside him, a woman in a black robe emerged soundlessly from the darkness. It was Tia, the War Goddess of the Nation of Amerta—the woman he would soon marry.“Bintang,” she whispered, her voice low, “we’ve found several clues. But they all point to one thing—the Shadow Lord isn’t hiding abroad… he’s here, in the heart of the Nation of Jiwa.”Bintang’s gaze hardened. “Wh-why did you come back here?”“My future husband wants a war. Why shouldn’t I get involved?”He sighed softly. “Fine. After all, you are my fiancée… and my teacher.
