Harry stood in front of the cashier’s desk, card in hand, ready to pay for the car. But before he did, he glanced over at Alicia, a teasing smile tugging at his lips. He wanted to test something, whether he could push her affection bar a bit higher before sealing the deal. And to his surprise, it worked.

[Update in affection bar!]

[Alicia’s affection: 62%!]

Harry nearly laughed out loud. It had worked, it really worked. Her affection had jumped higher than he expected. In less than a day, he was already this close to maxing her out. That meant his strategy, spoiling her rotten was paying off.

This was the perfect time to strike. He nodded at the salesman to proceed, and the man, sweating nervously, ran the card. Everyone in the dealership seemed to hold their breath, waiting for the card to decline. But instead…

[Ding!]

[Spent $3,700,000. 10X Critical Hit. Earned $37,000,000! 6X Bonus Critical Hit. Earned $222,000,000! The money has been transferred to account XXX-XXX-XXX!]

[Spent at least $3,700,000 on a beautiful lady!]

[You have received 1 lottery ticket!]

[Do you want to draw?] [YES] [NO]

Harry’s eyebrows shot up. So that was how it worked, the system rewarded him every time he crossed a spending milestone. He was starting to piece together the bigger picture, and the logic behind this crazy cashback system.

Feeling curious, he pressed [YES], and within seconds, the draw began and finished in the blink of an eye.

[Congratulations! You have drawn Instant Comprehension!]

Harry tilted his head. It wasn’t flashy like “Super Strength” or “Unlimited Money,” but this was one hell of a reward. He realized how useful this could be, understanding contracts, negotiations, loopholes, or even stock markets instantly. With this Harry felt that he didn't need to be a graduate to grasp everything in the world.

He thought about the agency contract he’d signed days ago, and within seconds, he could recite every clause, condition, and hidden catch word-for-word in his head. It was like someone flipped a light switch in his brain.

“Holy shit…” he muttered under his breath, genuinely impressed.

Meanwhile, Alicia was still standing there, frozen in front of the Lamborghini, her mouth slightly open. The keys glimmered in her hand like treasure, but she couldn’t bring herself to believe this was actually happening.

“I… I don’t even know what to say,” she finally managed, voice trembling with excitement.

Harry just grinned. He’d seen that look before, the look of someone whose entire world just shifted because of money.

The truth was simple: a woman who once played hard to get was now his to control. He’d shattered her own sense of self-worth by doing something only the top one percent could do. When a man spent millions like loose change, he didn’t just buy things, he bought influence.

That’s why women put up with the rich men’s nonsense. They knew how rare this kind of power was. And deep down, they feared they’d never find another man who could match it.

Harry wasn’t delusional, though. He didn’t love Alicia, not even close. But he knew how to handle her. This car was more than a gift; it was a leash wrapped in luxury leather.

“You already thanked me,” he said casually, his smile soft but confident.

Alicia beamed at him, brushing her hair off her shoulder as she admired the glossy red car. Her reflection gleamed back at her in the mirror-finished paint, and she couldn’t help but imagine the attention she’d get pulling up to her agency in this.

“Do you want a ride?” she asked, voice playful, leaning on the car door.

Harry chuckled. “I have a car too, remember?”

Alicia laughed, realizing how ridiculous her offer sounded. “Right! I totally forgot.”

They shared a short laugh before she slid into the driver’s seat. The engine purred to life, low and powerful. She gave a small wave before rolling out of the driveway, the sound of the tires fading in the distance.

[Update in affection bar!]

[Alicia’s affection: 75%!]

Harry exhaled deeply, watching her drive away. Seventy-five percent. He was nearly there. All it would take now was one more big move, another massive spending spree, and he’d completely max out her affection.

He got into his own car and sat there for a while, the adrenaline still pumping through his veins. He’d just spent millions and somehow earned hundreds of millions back. The system wasn’t just rewarding him, it was training him.

He opened his phone and finally replied to Melissa’s text, the one he’d ignored earlier because of Alicia. He needed a breather, both from the money and the women.

The salesman who’d handled the transaction stood in the background, jaw practically on the floor. He’d worked at that dealership for years and had never seen anyone drop $3.7 million in a single swipe, especially not someone who dressed as casually as Harry did.

When Harry left, the man was still standing there, wondering if what he’d just witnessed was even real.

*******

Back home, Harry kicked off his shoes and collapsed onto his bed. He hadn’t realized how exhausted he was until the softness of the sheets pulled him under. His eyelids felt heavy. For the first time in days, he didn’t want to think about money, levels, or women. Just silence.

He parked his car outside earlier and noticed Brandon's car wasn’t there, he probably fixed it already. Good. One less headache.

Harry stretched out and let the fatigue take him. Within minutes, his mind drifted off into darkness.

******

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, Melissa was pacing in her bedroom, staring at her phone.

She had been waiting hours for Harry to respond. Hours that felt like days. She kept checking her phone every few minutes, even though she knew it was pathetic. She didn’t want to seem desperate, but she also couldn’t stop thinking about him, about that night.

Her best friend, Rhianon, was sprawled across the bed, rolling her eyes. “Girl, if you refresh that screen one more time, I swear I’ll throw that phone out the window.”

Melissa sighed. “I just… I don’t know if I said something wrong.”

“Oh, please. You had one date with the guy, not a lifelong commitment,” Rhianon said.

Melissa didn’t respond. She was staring at the phone again, and then it lit up.

Harry had replied.

Her heart skipped. She grabbed the phone so fast that Rhianon immediately sat up, smirking.

“He replied, didn’t he?”

Melissa’s face was red, her smile uncontrollable. “Y-yeah.”

Rhianon narrowed her eyes. “Let me see.”

Melissa tried to hide the screen, but Rhianon was faster and snatched the phone right from her hand.

The message read:

[[Hey you, I’ve been pretty busy, but I had a blast with you too. We should definitely do it again soon. Have you been a good girl?]]

Melissa froze, as Rhianon read the words out loud, again and again, her cheeks burning. She didn’t even notice Rhianon walking behind her, reading over her shoulder.

“Aww, look at you blushing!” Rhianon teased.

“Stop it! Give me back my phone!” Melissa tried reaching for it, but Rhianon held it high above her head, typing something furiously.

“Wait— what are you doing?!”

“Helping you out,” Rhianon said with an evil grin. “You clearly need it.”

“Rhianon, don’t you dare—”

“Too late.” She hit send with a triumphant smirk and handed the phone back.

“All done.”

Melissa blinked at the screen, jaw dropping as she saw what Rhianon had sent.

“Y-you invited him over!?” she shrieked, voice echoing across the room.

Rhianon just laughed. “You’re welcome.”

  • Chapter 24. The Gift

The night had finally settled into silence, and Alicia was sprawled beside Harry, fast asleep. Her breathing was slow, her body completely relaxed. Harry lay there watching her, still half in disbelief. He’d always known that money could open doors, but he didn’t realize it could completely rewrite the rules of attraction. One real date. That’s all it took. He’d met her again, seduced her, and had her in his bed before the day was over. There hadn’t even been a chase like he did with her before. All it took was money and she let him fuck her mercilessly. He stared at her sleeping face, her lips slightly parted, the messy strands of hair scattered across the pillow. She looked peaceful, beautiful, even, but Harry couldn’t forget the truth: she wasn’t lying there because she cared. She was there because, in one way or another, she’d been useful to him.Alicia was part of the system now. Just another name on his list. And though he couldn’t remove anyone yet, he couldn’t help but imagin
