"All right, you can step out. I'll call you when I need anything," Kael acknowledged, standing up slowly from the bed.
After getting all the necessary herbs, they returned to the clan. He then had Riley fill his bathtub with warm water. It was time to start the body cultivation. With the herbs at hand, he was sure it would push his cultivation into the first realm, thereby allowing him to start the cultivation of his soul. Riley, on the other hand, bowed and exited the room. "Also, don't disturb me unless it's important," Kael's voice sounded as Riley exited the room. Staring at the herbs on the table, Kael picked them up and started throwing them into the bathtub. Soon enough, the room was filled with a medicinal scent. After a while, Kael took out the dregs and undressed, preparing to soak in the water. Just before he removed the last layer of his clothes, the door to his room suddenly burst open, and Riley came running in, panting. "Didn't I say you couldn't disturb me unless it was important?" Kael turned around; the annoyance in his voice could be felt. “I’m sorry, young master, but it was urgent...” Riley apologized, trying to catch her breath, her head lowered, voice trembling slightly, not daring to meet Kael's eyes. “What is it?” Kael asked, wanting to know what had made her rush in that way. "I..." Riley hesitated, knowing Kael was already annoyed. "Speak," Kael commanded, sounding rather firm. “It’s Young Master Ron; he’s being cornered at the training grounds by the Second Elder’s grandson and his group.” Kael frowned at hearing what Riley said; a wave of familiarity rose slowly within. "Ron?" he muttered slowly, as if trying to remember the name. The next second, memories surfaced. Ron was one of the very few people who had stood by the original owner when everyone mocked him. Even when the original Kael fell into debauchery, Ron didn’t abandon him and even secretly supported him. In short, he was the original owner's lackey. Kael's expression darkened slightly thinking about this. According to his memories, Ron was the son of a maid, but he had a pretty decent talent, which was why he was allowed to cultivate. If it were not for the fact that Kael was the son of the clan head, the clan would have already stopped allocating cultivation resources to him. Kael's expression darkened as he thought about all this. He wasn't in the mood to help anyone, but if he didn't, no one would save him. After all, Ron didn't have a lofty status like him. Besides, he had helped the original owner out of a few sticky situations and was quite loyal. “Lead the way," Kael sighed, donning his robes before stepping out of the room with Riley. The Training Ground. The training ground of the clan was divided into four arenas. Large and spacious, reinforced with different barriers, else, with the earth-shattering fights always happening, it would have long turned into rubble. Seats for spectators were arranged in a way that they would be able to see every single fight happening on each of the stages. It was left to the spectators to focus on a single stage if there were multiple fights ongoing. But at the moment, the spectators' seats were not the focus; rather, the focus was on one of the rings. A crowd had gathered, everyone watching, whispering, while trying to keep their voices as low as they could. At the center of the crowd was Ron, lying on the floor. His blue robe was soaked in blood and dirt. Blood dripped from the corner of his mouth. His face was swollen, and there were bruises all over his body. Some parts of his robes were torn, exposing his skin. Surrounding the figure were four other figures. At the center was a tall, lanky figure with a deep scar across his brows. The other three stood by his side, preventing Ron from escaping. The tall, lanky figure, Shawn, grinned, showing his rows of white teeth. "Do you still believe that cripple is coming to save you?" he mocked, disgust all over his voice. "Don't get the young master into this. It has nothing to do with him," Ron spat, refusing to acknowledge anything. "Idiot!" Shawn scoffed, then stepped directly onto Ron's face, pressing him to the floor. "Denounce that cripple, else I don't mind turning you into one," he threatened, pressing harder on Ron's face, pressing him further to the floor, causing the already swollen face to go down in an instant. "Never... never would I do such... The young master is not a cripple..." Ron gritted his teeth, managing to say. There was no way he was going to call Kael a cripple. He, as a son of a maid, had been scorned by everyone. It was Kael who protected him. And before the clan found out about his talent, Kael would share his cultivation resources with him. Thus, he was able to get to where he was today. If it were not for the fact that he was surrounded at the training ground by Shawn and his group, he would have long fled. He was a late-stage Body Tempering Realm cultivator, and so was Shawn. But he had come with three middle-stage Body Tempering Realm cultivators, so there was nothing much he could do. Shawn was already a headache, not to speak of dealing with those he had brought. As a result, he fell into this situation now. "Is he stupid?" "Didn't he know young master Shawn would really cripple him if he doesn't denounce that cripple?" "What's he thinking?" "If I were the one, I would have long stopped following that cripple around." The crowd murmured. None cared about addressing Kael properly. After all, he was not here. A smirk spread on Shawn's face hearing the audience's conversation. "Even the crowd thinks you're hopeless," he chuckled, pressing Ron's face harder into the marble floor. "Are you going to denounce that cripple, or do you want to taste what it feels like to be one?" Shawn laughed, raising his legs, targeting Ron's Dantian. "No..." Ron refused, closing his eyes, ready to accept his fate. There was no way he was going to insult Kael. He was the one who had given him all he had. There was no problem in letting him take it back. "Alright then," Shawn shrugged, and the next moment, his legs flew towards Ron's abdomen. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," a calm voice sounded almost immediately, making Shawn's legs freeze mid-air. Silence fell over the crowd as all attention turned to the source of the voice. The crowd parted as Kael strode forward, Riley following hurriedly behind him. Shawn's mouth curled up into a faint smirk, watching Kael approach. "I see you've arrived," he chuckled, retracting his legs. The main star of the show had arrived. Actually, Kael was his target; he was just using Ron to force him out. "Go help him up," Kael beckoned to Riley, his voice calm, and no hint of emotion could be seen on his face. Shawn's expression faltered; a deep sense of disgust rose within him while watching Kael, who seemed to have no reaction. This wasn't supposed to be the case, right? Kael should have flown into a rage. "Let's go," Kael uttered, turning around to leave after Riley helped Ron up. He was not a fool; he could tell Shawn was looking for trouble. There was no way he was going to fall into that obvious trap. "Wait!" Shawn called out, his voice cold as he walked towards Kael slowly. "You may go," he said, his eyes not hiding the hatred buried beneath. "But he stays," he concluded, pointing at Ron. "After all, I'm not done with him yet..." "Maybe once I'm done, young master Kael would finally have a companion," he chuckled, his voice dripping with sarcasm. Kael's expression finally darkened; he knew what Shawn was talking about. After all, the news that he was a cripple was not hidden, so everyone knew it. "What do you want?" Kael growled, his voice dangerously low while staring intently at Shawn. "Nothing," Shawn shrugged, spreading out his arms. "Young master, why don't you leave your lackey with us; we promise to be done soon," one of Shawn's lackeys stepped forward, his words filled with malice. "Don't worry, by the time we are done, we'll make sure we strip you of your uniqueness and he'll finally be able to join you in ranks," another one chimed in. Instantly, Shawn burst out into laughter, his body shaking violently. "Come on, don't talk to the young master that way; it's disrespectful." The crowd, on the other hand, watched on. No one dared to say anything. One was the grandson of the Second Elder and also a late-stage Body Tempering Realm cultivator. The other was the only son of the clan head. Even if he was a cripple, his status was fifty times more noble. "Shawn, I don't have time for your jokes," Kael finally spoke, his voice chilly. "You sure don't have my time; you must be thinking of how to properly spend the rest of your miserable life," Shawn answered, snickering at the same time. His lackeys were no different and burst out into laughter. "Sorry, sorry about that, I forgot he was here," one of them managed to say while stifling his laughter. "See, even my lackeys find it funny," Shawn shrugged, spreading out his hands. "So why don't you hand him over and let us make more jokes? That way, everyone in the clan would be able to laugh even more," Shawn suggested, walking towards Ron. His steps were slow but calculated; a sinister smile spread slowly across his face. "Out of my way!" Shawn commanded, shoving Riley aside, grabbing Ron's neck. "Now, you can join your young master in ranks," Shawn sneered, raising his fist, preparing to shatter Ron's Dantian. "Hold it!" Kael's icy voice sounded, his hands clamped tightly onto Shawn's, his expression as dark as coal.Latest Chapter

Kael's expression also changed and he looked at the item. The crest of the clan? How the heck did Philip get it?He was sure it was not his. Could it be for Riley?Thinking about this possibility, Kael's expression darkened, but soon returned back to normal and he looked at Philip."So, tell me, what do you have to say about this?" Philip smirked, waving the crest of the clan before Kael.He had been so smug just now, else he would have caught the changes on Kael's face."That's not mine," Keal answered, his voice stoic, refusing to admit anything."Yeah, I know it might not necessarily be yours cause yours is still with you," Philip pointed out, shaking his head,"The main thing you didn't go to the Crimson Forest alone, so that might be just for the other person."Hearing this, Kael's heart skipped a beat. But his expression still remained unwavering."I wouldn't say...""Clan head Philip!" Keith spoke at this moment, interrupting Kael who was about to defend himself."What are you

Kael froze, his expression changing slightly while a glint flashed in his eyes. But it all disappeared before anyone could catch it on his face."And if I may ask, what evidence does the clan heads bring to prove I'm the culprit?" Kael challenged, his voice slow and deliberate."You killed my son before hundreds of cultivators in the scared Realm, right before it opened up," Denis stepped forward, his voice getting low, at the same time his aura surged, locking onto Kael."Clan head Denis," Keith called at this moment, his brow raised while glaring at Denis.Having no other choice, Denis withdrew his aura. Trying to punish or force Kael inside his clan? That would be impossible.Though he and Philip had come to the Draven clan together. They didn't dare do anything harsh. The Draven Clan might be a fallen clan, but the reason they were still able to hold their place was none other than Keith.Though compared to the past, he was weak cause of some injuries, they didn't dare to cross hi

Kael's expression darkened and he looked up at Lina who seemed to be panicking. Her expression was dark, and her face was white while she paced around."Why are you panicking?" Kael raised his brows, staring at his sister who was acting as if the end of the world had arrived."Brother, I don't know about the Ladeson Clan, but Alex and his twin are from the Blackmoor Clan," Lina stressed, the worry in her eyes increasing with each second."Yeah I know," Kael chuckled, nodding,He had already known about this when he was fighting Alex as he had seen the badge of the clan on the latter's robes. But he couldn't care less. The Blackmoor Clan was just as powerful as the Draven Clan. So why would he fear them."Brother, with the Ladeson Clan joining them, it won't be easy to fend them off," Lina stated, her voice pulling Kael back to his senses."You don't have to worry," Kael smiled gently, standing up from where he was sitting and walking towards his sister, caressing her hair."But...""F
The Ladeson Clan Trouble
The heavy, suffocating pressure inside the room suddenly reached its peak. With a muted sound that echoed only within his bones, the wild energy from the beast cores and the bitter herbs completely fused into his flesh. The bronze glow on his skin flared brightly for a fraction of a second before sinking deep beneath his pores.Kael opened his eyes, a heavy breath escaping his lips. The air he exhaled was so hot it almost looked like steam.Breaking through, Kael felt an entirely new wave of physical power coursing through his veins. His muscles felt as dense as iron, and his senses were sharper than ever. He had successfully advanced his body cultivation to the next level. Sitting quietly on the floor, he considers training the defensive technique in the *Heaven Forged Body Manual*. The manual didn't just have offensive strikes; it contained a powerful body-shielding method called the *Iron Bell Guard*. With his current breakthrough, he finally possessed enough physical stamina and r

Kael stopped training immediately, his sword sliding back into its scabbard with a sharp click. He stood in the middle of the dusty field, his face dark as he pondered the situation. The Iron Link Clan and the Ladeson Clan were powerful, and if they continued to strangle the Draven Clan's businesses, his family would be ruined before they could even fight back. He needed to find a way to break this alliance or at least find out how deep this plot ran. After thinking about what to do for a short moment, Kael turned to Riley. "Go back to the courtyard and keep an eye on things. I’m going out.""Young master, do you want me to follow you?" Riley asked, her hand resting on her new scroll."No, stay here," Kael shook his head.He decided to go meet Jace in his clan. Jace was his friend from a wealthy merchant clan that had vast information networks and deep pockets. If anyone knew the true details behind this sudden economic attack, it would be Jace's family.Kael left the training ground,
A Month Later
A month passed quickly after everything that had happened at the secret realm. During this time, the surrounding clans were still busy dealing with the aftermath of the massive beast tide, which gave Kael the peace he needed. His injuries had completely healed, his skin showing no signs of the deep cuts Alex had inflicted on him.Now that his body was back to its peak condition, Kael was prepared to train. He knew he couldn't slack off, especially with the hidden threats outside the Draven clan.Sitting at his desk, Kael chose a few techniques from his memories to focus on. He picked out a sturdy defensive sword form to cover his previous weakness, an advanced footwork style to replace his old movement technique, and a couple of brutal close-combat styles that relied entirely on his body cultivation strength.Once he packed his training gear, he walked out of his room and found Riley waiting in the courtyard."Riley, grab your sword and follow me," Kael instructed flatly. "We are goin
