Chapter 5
Adrian stared at Seraphina, eyebrows arched in disbelief. “Are you saying… lyrixa’s actually that powerful?”
Seraphina folded her arms, her voice serious. “Yes. You should never take her lightly. Lyrixa is from the Vaelthorn Clan, one of the most powerful noble families in the empire.”
Jack blinked, still trying to digest the information. “Vaelthorn Clan?”
She nodded. “Her family’s bloodline traces back to some of the greatest spirit manipulators in history. Have you ever heard of Brett Vaelthorn?”
Adrian shook his head blankly. “Can’t say I have.”
Seraphina looked at him with soft pity, her voice dropping. “Of course. You really did lose your memory... Brett Vaelthorn was a legend. The most gifted spirit manipulator in the empire’s history. But he vanished forty years ago under mysterious circumstances. Some say he ascended. Others say he was consumed by his own power.”
Adrian’s curiosity flared. “And Lyrixa?”
“She may not be Brett,” Seraphina said, “but she’s incredibly talented in her own right. She bonded with dragon spiritual power at eleven something most trained warriors can’t do even as adults.”
Adrian leaned back slightly, lips curling with an amused smirk. “So she rides dragons and throws glowing punches. Big deal.”
Adrian sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Adrian… kael… whatever you want to call yourself this isn’t a game. Lyrixa is dangerous. And you, right now, can barely walk straight.”
“I may not have her crazy powers,” Adrian replied, puffing out his chest, “but I’ll prove to you that raw talent isn’t everything.”
Seraphina looked genuinely surprised. She tilted her head and gave a small smile. “You sound different. Confident.”
“I am different,” Adrian said, then paused, his voice softening. “Seraphina… what exactly is a spirit manipulator? And what are these ‘spiritual methods’?”
Seraphina blinked, taken aback. “You… don’t remember that either?”
Adrian shook his head. “Pretend I’m a blank slate. Enlighten me.”
She sat beside him on the bed, her tone shifting into a gentle, teacher-like rhythm. “Spirit manipulators are rare individuals who have learned to form a bond with spiritual creatures animals that exist on a higher plane. Cats, wolves, even tigers. But dragons? Those are the highest level. Only a few can even dream of bonding with them.”
Adrian’s eyes sparkled with curiosity. “So that flying thing Lyrixa was riding… that was a real dragon?”
Seraphina nodded proudly. “A Sky Serpent, to be precise. One of the rarer breeds.”
“Holy crap,” Adrian whispered, half to himself. “So I’ve time-traveled into a fantasy world where dragons are real… This is like Jurassic Park on steroids.”
Seraphina frowned, confused. “What’s Jurassic Park?”
Adrian waved it off. “Never mind. So how do these bonds happen? You said something about… beads?”
“Yes. Dragon Spirit Beads,” Seraphina replied. “They’re sacred artifacts granted during a special ritual by the Dragon Master Clan. If you succeed in bonding with one, you receive a mark proof that the dragon has accepted your spirit. Only then can you draw upon dragon spiritual power.”
Adrian’s excitement quickly dimmed. “And let me guess… kael failed, didn’t he?”
Seraphina’s expression dropped. “He tried five times. And failed five times.”
“Five?” Adrian echoed, stunned. “How many chances does one get?”
“Five,” she said softly. “That was it. No more. The Dragon Master Clan doesn’t grant a sixth attempt. It’s seen as dishonorable to try again.”
Adrian looked down at his hands pale, bony, weak. “So I’m stuck in a prince’s body… with no power?”
Seraphina offered a small, sympathetic smile. “Being a prince still gives you privilege. But without spirit power… you’re vulnerable. Especially in a world like this.”
Adrian leaned back, his brows furrowed. “Tell me more. This world what is it?”
Seraphina’s eyes lit up, clearly loving the chance to explain. “You’re in Wild Spirit Land. A realm where spiritual creatures and humans coexist. Long ago, the spiritual races ruled powerful beings who could control all creatures. But they struggled to reproduce, and their numbers dwindled. To keep their legacy alive, they passed their powers on to humans.”
“And the humans formed kingdoms?”
“Yes,” Seraphina said. “The Holy Dragon Empire is one of the strongest. Others formed around different spiritual clans, gaining different abilities. But what started as cooperation turned into rivalry… and eventually, war.”
Adrian nodded slowly. “And now humans fight using the powers the spiritual races gave them.”
“Exactly. Power is everything here. And it's measured through six main stages.”
She began counting on her fingers. “Mortal Stage. Earthly Stage. Heavenly Stage. Supernal Stage. Divine Stage. And the Immortal Stage.”
Adrian raised an eyebrow. “Sounds like a video game level system.”
Seraphina tilted her head. “A what?”
He chuckled. “Never mind. Go on.”
“Each stage has nine levels. The ninth being the most powerful in that tier.”
Adrian let out a low whistle. “So... where was kael on that scale?”
Seraphina hesitated. “He hadn’t even broken through the Mortal Stage.”
Adrian groaned, slapping his forehead. “Great. I reincarnated into a prince with the fighting ability of a soggy noodle.”
Seraphina laughed soft and sweet and for a moment, the tension in the room eased.
But Adrian’s thoughts raced. Dragons. Spirit beads. Magic. Power rankings. Sacred clans.
He wasn't just in a new world he was in a world ruled by strength. A world where weakness meant death.
And right now… he was at the very bottom.
Adrian’s body trembled as the bitter potion took hold, and deep inside, a locked door began to creak open revealing secrets buried long before this new life began.”

The void no longer threatened; it awaited.Seraphina was at his side. She had transformed not just into his equal, but his echo her aura healing entire galaxies, her touch calming entities born from entropy itself. And yet, her smile was still Seraphina’s soft, kind, filled with Earth’s warmth.“I still remember the garden behind the Parker house,” she whispered. “That’s where love began for us. Not here. Not with power.”Adrian brushed her cheek.“And it’s what makes all of this mean something.”Behind them, Betty stood draped in a cloak of woven realities, her eyes seeing not just time but potential. Even the primordial entity stilled, its vast presence waiting for Adrian’s decision. He stood at the center of everything, surrounded by the people who had shaped his journey: Seraphina, Betty, Luna, and the Parker family. What do you choose?”Two paths shimmered before him.The first was warm and familiar. It led back to Earth to Seraphina’s gentle hands, Betty’s sharp laughter, Luna’s protective presence, and the steady love of the Parkers. Peace. Simplicity. Her hands touched broken fragments of ancient realities, failed timelines, wounded memories and mended them with a gentleness that transcended comprehension. She didn’t force them back into shape; she nurtured them, coaxing them to reform as something better.“This,” she whispered, “is what healing looks like… even for the cosmos.”The entity observed without comment, but its shape if it could be called that shifted slightly, as though leaning closer. Its vast presence quivered with interest, intrigued by the idea that pain didn’t have to be erased to be redeemed.Next came Betty, steppi
