Chapter one.

Rapheal stirred at the sound of heavy knocks. He muttered in his sleep, turning his head from one side to another.

He didn't want to wake up. It was too comfortable. He hadn't had such a nice sleep since he arrived at the prison.

Yet the noise didn't stop.

Subconsciously, he felt he was still in his prison cell. Thinking it was his cellmates messing around.

Which piece of trash was causing a disturbance this early in the morning?

But the bastard clearly had a lot of guts as it they kept going on.

Raphael chuckled angrily as the sleep completely slipped away from his grasp.

I will rip out your skin, muscles, ligament, tendon, bones, organs and turn them into a paste for the guard dogs to eat for lunch.

He was about to open his eyes when he heard an unfamiliar voice.

It was feminine and the speaker didn't look like they were trying to keep him from hearing.

"Is the young master still not awake? I don't see why they still let him stay in the mansion, why not just drive him away? I really have never seen someone this useless."

Outside the doors where two maids who where sent to wake him up.

After knocking for so long with no response they were both annoyed.

The pretty and busty one who had once tried to seduce Rapheal before but was rejected rolled her eyes in disdain as she said.

"Right. It wasn't enough for him to steal others place but he is also so ungrateful. What a price of trash. If I was the young madam I would surely object to this marriage."

"Do you think she has a choice? That poor girl." Her companion shook her head with a sigh. Then added. "Any other guy would be better."

It was the same thought as anyone who heard the news. They wondered what the Devereux family was thinking, marrying their only daughter to a piece of trash.

"If it was Edward from the Regro family! So handsome. He and the young madam would be a perfect fit. A match made in heaven."

"Unfortunately some people were born to be a thorn in everyone's life by just existing." With a scornful look, the pretty girl turned to walk away. "Anyways I did try to wake him. He will be the one getting into trouble with the madame later."

"But is this really okay?" The second girl glanced at the door, a bit hesitant.

What if they got in trouble?

"Don't mind him. Nobody cares." Since she had worked here for a fairly long time the pretty maid understood his position in the house. "He is even worse than a dog on the streets now. You didn't see how arrogant he was before. Filthy thief."

"Then let's hurry up and go, before he rubs us with his had energy."

Rapheal's head buzzed. His eyes still closed as he listened to their footsteps disappear, he hesitated.

What is this? Am I dreaming?

But then, he remembered the day he died. The smell of overcooked rice with a heavy smell of oil. The pain of the knife piercing his stomach and as the blood gushed forth creating a sea of red.

His eyelashes trembled, then opened.

No way.

He rolled out of the overly soft bed, landed with both feets on the ground. And for a moment he was stuck in daze.

Staring blankly at the heavy curtains that hung over the window left undrawn. The walls of the room was a cool shade of cream, a color he had chosen himself.

I am back...

Am I back?

His eyes shifted to the reading table right beside the bed. There was a phone sitting quietly next to the water lamp. He reached for the phone and switched it on.

Time: 7:56am, Wednesday, 8th of march 2017.

That was about two years before he was sent to prison.

"So. I was reborn?" His mouth hanged open and his eyes almost drilled a hole into the screen of the phone.

Yes. He had been reborn two years before his terrible ending.

"Haaaaaahaaaahahahaha."

This must be how it feels to win the lottery. No. This is even better.

A dam of joy burst in his chest.

Rapheal rushed to the window. His coffee brown hair which was slightly overgrown from self-neglect and stress fluttered, brushing his forehead.

He looked out at the blue skies, with signs of the sun that was starting to rise.

In the refection was his face. Clear without any blemish. That hideous one eye look that scared the devil himself was replaced by a youthful and clean face.

He had two eyes! Not one, but two!

"I am back! Hahahahahahahah."

You all are screwed! Screwed! Completely finished! Dead meat!!

Meanwhile the two gardeners working in the garden just outside the walls if the room where shocked by the scream and even the birds resting fell out of their nests.

"Did you hear that? I think it was the fake young master shouting just now." One asked and the other let out a snort, adjusting the cap on his head to block the sun.

"What do you think is wrong with him? Acting all crazy this early in the morning."

"Must be drugs. If not that. What else?"

"Lucky bastard."

"Right. I wish I was as lucky as him too, falling into someone's gold pot." The younger one laughed bitterly. "Truly a lucky bastard."

It took a while for Rapheal to calm. The blood rushed up his head and his heart kept pounding against his chest.

First, he was going to sleep.

He would sleep for three days straight.

The one thing he learnt from all the lessons life taught him was to out himself first.

His new motto was going to be.

Fuck others at convenience.

"Hahahahaaaaaaa."

In the end it seems like heaven has abandoned some people.

"But...8th of march." Why did it strike him as uncanny?

What happened during this day?

"Tchh..." Rapheal rubbed his chin. It was smooth. No sign of the stubbles that sprouted out during his time in prison.

If he remembered clearly the night before he followed his fake father, Noah to an event.

Then he ran into, Jace. The foul mouthed son of a bitch was the one who started it.

Jace accused him of being a cuckoo occupying a magpie next and he snapped, leading to an argument.

The son of a bitch even poured his glass of wine on him. Staining the inner of his suit.

When Noah arrived not only did he humiliate Rapheal in front of the whole crowd of rich and powerful people, he also made him apologize to Jace.

Rapheal wished the ground would open up and swallow him.

In the end he bowed be head and apologized. Pretending he didn't see those people laughing at him and the floating in Jace's eye.

Then he overslept till the next day and when he woke up by six....

Finn was dead!

They called his phone multiple times that he was attacked and beaten to death by a gang of drug dealers but Rapheal was sleeping at the time.

He couldn't forgive himself after that. The guilt stuck to him.

Finn was his best friend. They were a group of four that grew up together sharing a close brotherhood bond.

His death hit Rapheal badly. He almost couldn't believe it.

"There is still time. I can save him." Rapheal quickly grabbed a change of clothes from the closet, at the same time he dialed a number.

His heart was racing.

Vicent was unreliable so he called Cody.

And sure the phone was answered at the first ring.

"Something's up?" Cody's distint language couldn't be more familiar.

"Reach out to Vicent and have him gather some boys. I will send you the address. Finn is in danger!"
