Sarah still couldn’t believe what had just happened.
Damian had really divorced her. As if that weren’t enough, he had also reclaimed the house where her family had been living.
“That bastard! Who does he think he is, taking this house away from us?” Grace shouted furiously.
The Moore family stood helplessly outside the house, watching the bank representatives remove the few possessions they were permitted to keep.
“No! Where’s my computer? What about my car?” Tyler demanded when he saw the men locking the gate.
Only a few pieces of clothing had been returned to them—and they were old clothes the family no longer wore.
“Oh my God! My bags! My jewelry! Everything is still inside! Open this gate!” Grace shouted in panic.
Sarah clenched her fists.
“What is the meaning of this? Why aren’t you returning all our belongings?” she demanded.
The manager stepped forward.
“We are merely following the court order, Ms. Moore. According to the ownership records, everything inside the property belongs to your former husband.”
Grace laughed in disbelief.
“That isn’t true! Mr. Cross of Cross Corporation gave us those things! Damian has no right to take any of them away!”
“That’s right!” Tyler added. “Don’t you know who my sister is? She’s a project manager at Cross Corporation! Mr. Cross will destroy all of you if you continue doing this!”
The man momentarily stiffened.
However, his orders had come directly from Cross Corporation. What the Moore family was claiming couldn’t possibly be true.
“We apologize, but these are the only belongings we are authorized to release. We’ll be leaving now.”
The manager bowed politely before turning away.
The Moore family could do nothing but watch as the representatives departed.
“What are we supposed to do now, Sarah?” Grace demanded. “Do something!”
“When are you going to speak to Mr. Cross?” Tyler added. “Doesn’t he like you? Doesn’t he know what’s happening to us? First, our cards stopped working. Now we’ve lost the house! How are we supposed to live?”
Sarah squeezed her eyes shut.
So many things had happened in such a short time that she no longer knew which problem to deal with first.
And now, Damian had truly divorced her.
“Just stop, okay?!” she shouted.
Grace stared at her in disbelief.
Then, furious at being yelled at, she grabbed Sarah’s arm and slapped her across the face.
“How dare you raise your voice at me? I’m your mother! You’re my eldest child, so it’s your responsibility to solve this problem! Besides, none of this would have happened if you hadn’t married that useless Damian in the first place!”
Sarah held her stinging cheek.
She was furious with her mother, but she could do nothing except lower her head and wipe away her tears.
“O-Okay. Don’t worry. I’ll do something.”
Sarah clenched her fists.
Damian, just wait. I’ll make you pay for everything you’ve done!
—
“Congratulations, Master! You have completed two tasks. Your rewards will now be issued!”
Damian smiled when the notification appeared on the screen.
A moment later, his phone chimed.
It was a notification from the bank confirming the sale of the house he had reclaimed from the Moore family. His smile deepened when he saw the amount credited to his account.
The proceeds were exactly twice the house’s original value.
Damian had purchased the land and built the house entirely through his own hard work. He had taken several part-time jobs because he wanted to create a home for himself and Sarah using money he had earned—not wealth or influence borrowed from the Cross family.
But when Sarah insisted that her family needed the house more than they did, Damian had reluctantly allowed the Moores to live there.
Fortunately, he had never transferred the title to them.
“It really doubled,” Damian said with a smile.
“The reward for completing your main task has also been issued. Please check it, Master.”
Another screen appeared before him.
[New Spatial Feature Unlocked!]
Damian frowned slightly before pressing the small notification box.
His surroundings changed instantly.
For a moment, he could only stare in shock as he realized that he was standing inside his Spatial Vault.
“This… is different,” he whispered.
When he first entered the Dimensional Vault, it had looked like a small, entirely white room. It had felt as though he were trapped inside a plain box.
Now, however, it was as though he had stepped into an entirely different world.
Endless fields stretched before his eyes.
“Wow. How can a Spatial Vault contain a place like this?” he wondered aloud.
“You may customize this space according to your preferences, Master. Please check the system for the available environments.”
Damian waved his hand, summoning the system screen once again.
A customization feature appeared, allowing him to change the scenery inside the space.
There was a boundless void, an enormous shopping mall, and a massive mansion containing numerous rooms. However, all those environments remained locked. Only the mountain landscape was currently available.
“This feels just like a game.”
“Reminder: You still have one unfinished task today. Failure to complete it before the deadline will invalidate all rewards obtained today.”
Damian stared at the screen in disbelief.
“What? Even though it’s only a random task?”
“Yes, Master.”
Damian shook his head.
“This system is unbelievable.”
With another wave of his hand, he left the Spatial Vault and returned to the real world.
He didn’t waste any more time.
Damian immediately began his final task, pushing himself through combat training as though he were preparing to march into war.
After one uninterrupted hour, the system’s familiar, piercing voice sounded inside his head.
“Task completed! Rapid Regeneration has been activated!”
A few seconds later, Damian’s hands began to glow.
An unfamiliar warmth spread from his fingertips and flowed throughout his entire body. Then, almost instantly, he felt something change.
Only moments earlier, he had been completely exhausted from training without rest.
Now, every trace of fatigue had disappeared.
Damian looked down at his hands before breaking into a wide smile.
“Not bad.”

That’s right.”The married couple exchanged glances. The moment they realized how impossible their son’s claims sounded, they struck him on the head at the same time.“Ouch! Why did you do that?” Damian cried, clutching his head again.“Tell me the truth! What did that woman do to you?” Charlene demanded. “You don’t look like she starved you, so why are you suddenly having thoughts like this?”Damian could only sigh.He had known from the beginning that his parents wouldn’t believe him so easily.“You’ve really lost your mind, Damian!” Ruel added. “I will no

Damian turned to face the crowd.Every pair of eyes in the hall was fixed on him. Shock swept across the guests the moment they saw who was standing beside Naomi.“Is that really Mr. Cross? He stood before the crowd with complete confidence, looking proud, powerful, and undeniably handsome.During their four years of marriage, she had never seen any indication that Damian was wealthy. In fact, she had often been the one paying whenever they went out together.“Is this some kind of joke?” Grace asked in disbelief. “Is he really Mr. Cross?”Tyler shot to his feet.“Impossible! The entire hall fell silent when Naomi Grant entered.Every pair of eyes immediately turned toward her.Naomi hurried over to Damian.“Mr. Cross, are you all right?”Sarah’s mouth fell open. Her gaze darted between Damian and Naomi as she struggled to process what she had just heard.“Did she just call him Mr. Cross?” Grace asked in disbelief.Tyler laughed nervously.“Well, Damian’s last name is Cross too. Technically, that makes him Mr. Cross.”“Isn’t she his lawyer?” Adrian asked suspiciously.Sarah straightened her back. The very idea that Damian could be the mysterious Mr. Cross was impossible. Her former husband and the chairman of Cross Corporation couldn’t possibly be the same person.“You again?” Sarah asked. “Aren’t you Damian’s lawyer?”Then she let out a mocking laugh.“Did my ex-husband impress you so much that you even followed him here?”Naomi narrowed her eyes and turned toward her.“Aren’t you Sarah Moore, one of Cross Corporation’s project managers?
