Eyes followed Zhi Ruo's random movements, it was not only the cool blue eyes of the man behind her. The employee's actions had also change drastically. Now he was more respectful, but that didn't phase Zhi Ruo. Rather than him being respectful, Zhi Ruo prefers if he cuss her out. Because Zhi Ruo was slowly sucking all the precious stone on the establishment that he works on.

No one would come here if all the stones that opened was empty. Sure opening stones would have a 60% chance that it would be empty and 40% chance that it their would be something inside. Everyone knows that already, the establishment is built on that percentage. But imagine what if those percentage was shifted into 100% chance that it was empty and 0% chance that it has something in it.

Zhi Ruo was doing that exactly, she was picking out the stones that has something inside buying it and leaving blanks. Sooner then later the people would notice that no one was opening that has something inside. And by then the establishment would loose it's customer's. No customer's means no money, no money would lead the establishment going into bankruptcy and that leading into damaged reputation.

The establishment, like the others of it's kind was built on reputation. If many people were Opening stones that has something inside, it would be clear that the reputation would rise. Good reputation brings in customers. Even if the new batch of stone coming in, if Zhi Ruo was allowed to buy here then all of those would be harvested. It would be a done deal.

Just as Zhi Ruo was contemplating on snatching the stones on other's basket. A notification popped up on Zhi Ruo's face. She briefly raised her brows at the rise of her MP but she didn't bother with it and picked up two more stones. The speed of which she picks the stones were outstanding. Others couldn't help but stare at Zhi Ruo in disbelief. 

And yet the stones that was put to be opened always had something inside. Every time a stone was opened the crowd would roar with delight. They would start bidding after earning Zhi Ruo's permission.

The two stones though was not as high ranked as the first one, was sold by 20 Gold papers. Zhi Ruo now has 59 gold papers but Zhi Ruo bought another two stone and it costed around 2 Gold papers. So all in all she had 57 Gold papers. 

Those two stones were opened and those stones also have something inside. She put them on a bid again. Those two stones were sold in an outstanding price of 50 Gold papers. Zhi Ruo now has 107 Gold papers.

More and more people were curious as to what was happening inside. And thus decided to check what was happening. All they could see was Zhi Ruo sold about 4 stones and all of those stones have something inside. 

Just as Zhi Ruo was picking up stones, a notification popped up.

"Fuh!" Zhi Ruo couldn't help but stifle a laugh, it didn't stop from letting the grin take over her face though. Those little actions of Zhi Ruo was recorded in Alberu's mind, he couldn't help but tilt his head in confusion. No matter how much he tries to understand the person that is in front of him he just couldn't get a hold of it. If he takes one step forward then Ashen would take a step that goes for a mile.

So he just quietly followed Zhi Ruo like a loyal puppy around. Curiously looking at the stones that she is picking from all over the shop, Zhi Ruo would pick a stone that caught her eyes. She picked so easily and so many that she had to call a few employee's to give her a hand. Those helping her were happy to be at use, after all she was harvesting attention and she would be buying so many.

After Zhi Ruo spent all her money buying almost half of the stones in the shop. She had the them opened. Finally Alberu couldn't take it anymore and asked. " Little brother why are you buying all those stones?" He poked Zhi Ruo on the shoulder. She merely tilted her head and didn't reply. "Little brother are you short on money? If so, then let this big brother lend you some taels. How much do you need?"

Zhi Ruo decided that she didn't want to be bothered after she had received notifications after notifications. And replied to Alberu who was waiting for her to reply. "Revenge!" She simply stated. But Alberu was confused. Zhi Ruo didn't bother with him anymore and muttered status on her heart.

But the person looking at Zhi Ruo and the seemingly never ending cheers as on by one precious stones were opened up was astonished. The simple answer and the stones that was opened that had different colors inside it was making Alberu's head hurt. And also the person that he kept calling as little brother was excluding a aura that seemed as if he got stronger.

Stronger? That would be absurd. Stronger just by standing still and collecting stones? As absurd as it was it was what Alberu had sensed. And no matter how hard he tries to deny it, it was just like ignoring the giant elephant in the room. He tried again, and again, and again. But the same results always popped up! 'Stronger!' it was that feeling that his guts was telling him.

Zhi Ruo on the other hand felt much more lighter, and her breathing was much more, spiritual in a sense. Zhi Ruo had spent all of her 107 Taels. But she earned thrice! No! More than that. 961 Gold papers! For Zhi Ruo's status it was astronomical. But as to what Zhi Ruo was feeling she felt that it wasn't enough. Though all of the stones were sold more than the ordinary. She felt that it was still wasn't enough, call her greedy but she was still unsatisfied.

Suddenly a hand grabbed her by the shoulders the moment she tried to flee. That hand belonged to Alberu, his eyes was extremely piercing at the moment he was trying to find Zhi Ruo's eyes. Instinctively Zhi Ruo had twisted his arm, Alberu flinched and he could feel his bones being twist past it's limits. Everyone's attention was not on them at the moment, Zhi Ruo didn't bat an eyelash at Alberu.

"What are you doing?" Zhi Ruo's bony hand tugged on Alberu's twisted arm. Alberu's face didn't show much, it wasn't known if he flinched because of his arm that was painfully twisted or it was Zhi Ruo's voice that was ice cold. Zhi Ruo didn't bother to care anymore and thus harshly let go of Alberu's arm. It was as if Alberu was not in pain anymore, and his arm that was being held by him was instantly recovered. 

Zhi Ruo spared a glance at the high recovering ability that he had but didn't care. But Alberu's eyes was clear, dangerously clear. 

Hastily she walked towards the exit, people were already having the thoughts of approaching her. And they did, boldly mind you. She was grabbed by the shoulders by young masters, tugged by young misses, called upon distinguished individuals. And slowly the people started calling her 'the jaded one', words left there mouths that the person under the hood was blessed by the eyes of the gods.

They were not far off, but Zhi Ruo had no plans on answering them and their inquiries, nor does she plan on being recruited by some sect. Zhi Ruo avoided every single touch that came upon her skin. Like a slippery snake she didn't waste 3 seconds on each person.

Alberu hummed to himself, being baffled on the presence of that mysterious hooded person was not a rare thing for him anymore. He was curious, intrigued. So he reached out, but it came to him that this person would not be easy to grab. If that person was a guy, which he was betting on to. He would not be stingy, and buy that person a drink. But if that person was a girl, he would like to know her better.

This person was just too mysterious! Like an impenetrable fortress, all of his advances was brushed off. All he got was a name, and even that he did not know if that name is a alias or not. He clicked his tongue in annoyance the moment Zhi Ruo left the establishment. He was now very curious.

The moment Zhi Ruo left the establishment, with many eyes on her back. Her figure was already imbedded on their minds. No troubles had befallen on her escapade which she was thankful for. But she didn't let her guard down, she slipped on an alley way. A breath on relief passed through her lips and she peeked at her blood laden t-shirt. The blood was slowly evaporating. And the effects of her eyes evaporated with it.

Curiously she started to walk along the path of the alley way. Her ears perked from the sounds of shouting at the end of the alley way. Her aimless feet carried her to the sounds, what she saw made her really think that she was truly in the ancient era. Their were big burly men, tying a dozen or so hooded figures. The men were shouting, and people on the isolated place were running around, seemingly looking for people.

'slaves'

Her ears had caught the word, and her mind was breathlessly soaking in the unusual word and the scene in front of her. Slaves, she muttered in her heart. I need those, it says.

"Search the area! Find more of these hooligans!" The man on the middle had shouted as he kicked the person that was tied. The man had fallen in the ground, his feet was bare, and was covered in injuries. And yet that man did not utter a single peep. 

"Spoils of war!" That man that had kicked the tied person guffawed. "We hit the jackpot boys! We have some new products to sell!" His rotting teeth was gleaming at the person beside him.

"Brothers ready the women and wine, they are injured! They will be an easy pick!" The others laughed heinously. To them it did not matter if what they do is considered inhuman. So long as they have their pleasure, all is good.

They did not even notice the figure that slowly crept up from behind the leader's back.

That was the only indications that Zhi Ruo had sliced the man's head from it's torso. 

"-!?" Lest and so behold, their laughter had been forcefully cut off. All they could produce was the sound of gurgling as they died drowning bon their own blood.
