Gerry's scream shattered the silence of the cold underground chamber. He raised a sharp piece of metal with a violently trembling hand. His eyes darted between the human skeleton inside the Beta-02 tank and the face of the man standing before him.

The man holding the torch slowly lowered it. The flames illuminated the damp air, revealing a scar on his left cheek. "Gerry, it's me. Kael. Put that piece of metal down before you hurt yourself."

“Get down, Kael! Aim for the drone’s wing joints!”Gerry’s shout cut through the thunder of his own rifle as he threw himself onto the steel floor of the Archive Zero corridor. Red particle rounds streaked just above their heads, melting the layer of ice on the walls until it hissed and released hot steam.Kael didn’t waste a second trying to process his confusion. Although he knew the Gerry standing before him was a biological copy created by the underground facility, their combat instincts still moved in perfect synchronization, honed through hundreds of battlefields. Kael threw himself behind a concrete pillar, aimed his rifle, and fired three consecutive shots at the mechanical joints of a drone that was buzzing loudly.CRACK! CRACK! • The Shadow on the Wooden Bridge

“Welcome back to the real world, my first copy.”The mechanical voice hissed sharply amid the blizzard roaring across the wooden bridge. Gerry did not take a single step backward. The beam of the flashlight in his left hand remained fixed on the hooded figure before him, whose half-metal face glowed red.“Who are you?” Gerry asked coldly, narrowing his eyes as he examined every detail of the mechanical components protruding from the figure’s neck. “You’re not part of Archive Zero.”The figure chuckled softly, the grinding of its metal teeth screeching through the frigid night. “You forget so quickly, Gerry? I am the original blueprint, created before your first iteration was developed in the Vesper-0 laboratory. I am the Sovereign prototype that was discarded into the cold system.”Gerry clenched his right fist, feeling for the tactical knife tucked into his jacke

“Don’t move, or this bullet will go straight through your skull!”The sharp shout cut through the cold night air inside the weapons shed. Kael froze in the doorway, his index finger, which had been poised to load his rifle, suddenly going rigid. Before him, emerging from behind a stack of dusty ammunition crates, stood a hooded figure dressed in black, aiming a short-barreled pistol directly at Kael’s chest.“Who are you?!” Kael demanded, his voice rising an octave as the muscles in his neck tensed with vigilance. The hooded figure slowly stepped into the light of a hanging lamp swaying gently overhead. His black hood fell back, revealing the face of a young man with a burn scar on his left temple and eyes filled with profound exhaustion.“Easy, Kael. • The Wheat Field Beneath a Real Sky

“Kael, don’t move! Behind you!”Elena’s piercing scream shattered the afternoon silence in the southern valley. Kael flinched, dropped the hoe in his hand, and spun around in a flash. Within seconds, he had the tactical rifle he always kept hanging on the wooden house’s wall ready in his hands. He scanned the dense, golden wheat field. There were no Omega special forces. No Imperial silver armor. The only thing there was a brown wild rabbit that leaped out from between the wheat stalks, then sprinted away and disappeared into the thick bushes on the hillside.Kael let out a long breath, lowered his rifle, and wiped the sweat from his forehead with his sleeve. He looked at Elena as she hobbled toward him with the help of her cane, panting heavily.“Just a rabbit, Elena,” Kael said hoarsely, trying to offer a faint smile to ease the tension. “You’re too tense.”<
