The following morning, after Benjamin was done meditating, he gulped the bottle of water beside him. He stayed in a small apartment with few things to his name, he freshened up and was going through his bag when a photograph fell from it.

He took a glance at it, his heart trembled in emotion, and the image reminded him of his mission to Morristown. It was a photo of his younger sister who went missing. The little girl was with her father; on their way home, they had an accident with his father dying instantly while his sister went missing.

Benjamin was nineteen years old, while his sister was just fifteen years old. He spent his last four years looking for her; he vowed not to return home until he found her.

Many thoughts ran through his mind as memories of his past played before his eyes. The buzzing of his phone brought him out of his reveries. He glanced at the caller ID, and with a deep sigh, he answered the call.

“Young master, your mother insists on having a meeting with you. I have tried talking to her, but she refused. Should I send some men over to pick you up?” James asked.

Benjamin ran his hand through his hair, as he drew a deep breath. “No, just send me the address and time.” He said before terminating the call.

Just then, another call came into his phone; Benjamin placed the phone close to his ear as he waited to hear what the caller had to say.

“Hello, Mr. Scott. It’s Ariana long.” She said softly.

“Hello, Ariana.”

“Mr. Scott, I was wondering if you are free later in the day. I would like to invite you for dinner.” She asked politely.

Benjamin paused for a moment, unsure of what to say, “Alright.” He replied.

Ariana smiled in excitement; she couldn’t tell what had come over her after her first encounter with Benjamin. Upon getting accepted, she immediately started making preparations.

A few minutes later, Benjamin was standing at the entrance of the Grand Land Hotel. He was about to enter when he was stopped by the guards at the entrance. Casually dressed Benjamin frowned but kept a mild demeanor.

“I am sorry, sir but you can’t go inside.” The guard said, rolling his eyes in contempt.

Benjamin’s face turned red, “Why?”

The guard stepped forward raising his shoulder high. “Grand Land Hotel is an exclusive hotel for top businessmen and influential people. Just looking at you, I am sure you can’t afford a night here. You should get lost; there are other cheap hotels around the city.”

Benjamin gritted his teeth as he stared at the guard, who remained unfazed. “I am here for something important; you should let me in before you lose your job.”

The onlookers were shocked by Benjamin’s audacity.

“Why would someone like him want to set foot inside an exclusive hotel like Grand Land? Does he think he can afford even a meal here?” one of them said.

“I guess he is one of those online show-off stars who want to go inside to take pictures and then post to get more engagement on his social media account.” Another chimed in.

The guard burst into uncontrollable laughter; Benjamin found his attitude irritating and disrespectful. “You are lucky, I am in a good mood. You should get lost. We are expecting a special guest, and we wouldn’t want him to see you here; it will reduce the standard of our hotel in his eyes.” The guard’s voice was laced with disdain.

Benjamin’s patience was wearing thin, but he held himself from knocking the teeth of the man standing before him. “What if I am the special guest you were expecting?”

The guard raised his brow, and his stern expression was evident in his gaze. “Young man, you should get going. Don’t blame me when you end up with broken legs.”

Just then, the sound of footsteps echoed. James Sinclair and two other guards walked toward Benjamin and the rude guard.

Young master, “they bowed respectfully, “what seems to be the problem?” James knew something was wrong from the look on his master’s face.

The guard was left in extreme shock; his mind began to pound in fear, “Is he the young master? How come he is dressed like this? What have I gotten myself into?” the guard muttered inwardly as hot sweat drenched his forehead.

He pinched himself to be sure he wasn’t dreaming, but the scene stood before him. Did he just offend the young master of the Scott family?
