Everyone was stunned; Ariana and Lucy exchanged glances with each other for a moment before stepping towards their grandfather.

“He is awake! Grandfather is awake!”

The two beautiful sisters breathed a sigh of relief.

“Mr. Scott, I don’t know how to thank you for this. From now henceforth, you are the Long family’s honoured guest.” Dr Andrew watched Ariana bow respectfully to Benjamin.

Who would have expected a young man like Benjamin would cure elder Maxwell’s illness? Would Dr. Andrew learned from his mistake, never to judge people by their appearance?

“You are welcome, Ms. Long. It’s fine; I am happy I can help.” He replied with a small smile curling at the side of his lips.

Elder Maxwell looked at the young man before him, “Who are you,”

Benjamin replied softly, “I am Benjamin Scott.”

“He saved your life grandfather; he is a great healer,” Ariana added as she couldn’t hold the excitement that had engulfed her.

“Elder Maxwell, I have a few questions to ask,” Benjamin said. Elder Maxwell raised his brow. “Where were you recently? Did you visit anyone, have meetings or eat anything out of the ordinary?”

The old man hesitated for a moment before he mouthed. “I had been to two events recently. I was at Bridgeton and Millville for a party and a casual visit.”

Benjamin nodded, “You got poisoned in one of them.”

“Poisoned.”

Elder Maxwell was taken aback in shock, “Am I going to die? What should I do?” he asked with his face etched with fear.

“No, you are fine. I have taken away the poison from your system. But you must promise me you will take four days to rest while I prescribe a few things that will help remove the remaining toxins from your body.”

“Thank you so much, Mr. Scott.” Elder Maxwell said with his tone filled with gratitude. “What do you want? Name your price.”

“I am fine, if you wouldn’t mind, I will excuse myself since there’s nothing else to be done. I will jot down the things needed on my way out.”

Benjamin left the room, wrote down a few things and was about to give them to Ariana when he saw Lucy fidgeting with her clothes. He shook his head and smiled. “I have written down a few drugs you will need as well,“ he said before handing the note to Ariana.

“Mr. Scott, here is an invitation to my birthday party.” She intoned.

Benjamin took the invite and made his way towards the entrance. Before he flagged a cab, he received a call from his butler, “Young master, should I still send the necklace to Ms. Nora?” James asked.

“It’s of no use to me, just let her have it,” he responded,

“Alright,”

At Nora’s apartment, she sat across from her friend, Eva Penny, as they both sipped from their wine glasses. “I am happy you broke up with that, foolish Benjamin. You don’t know I despised him. What were you thinking when you even agreed to date someone like him?” Eva’s voice was filled with contempt.

She couldn’t fathom why her friend would choose to date a guy like Benjamin when other guys were coming for her. At some point, she felt her friend had been cursed by Benjamin.

“That’s in the past now. I have realised that my heart belongs to someone else.” She intoned, taking a sip from her glass.

She shifted a bit, “Tell me, how are sales going for the month?” She asked.

“Well, we are doing massively great. Everything has been going smoothly recently since you left that broken boy. His presence was hindering our business.” She scoffed. Eva wouldn’t stop hiding how she despised her best friend’s ex-boyfriend.

Nora was about to respond when the door swung open, revealing her man, Nathan Reed; she smiled as he sauntered toward her, and their lips joined together before they withdrew.

Eva smiled, feeling excited for her friend; she knew Nathan was a big fish and far better than Benjamin. If not for the fear of going to jail or being called a murderer, she would have killed Benjamin a long time ago.

“Hey, Eva.”

“Hey.”

Nathan took a seat, as he brought out an invitation from his jacket. “I got us an invitation to one of Mr. Long’s granddaughters’ birthday parties.”

Nora’s eyes widened in surprise; she glanced at the invite. She had been looking for a way to get close to Elder Maxwell’s granddaughters so she could become friends with them and also get them to become business partners. Nora, who now manages her late father’s restaurant, believes that with the help of the Longs marketing agency, she would make more sales and profits from her business.

While the conversation was going on, she informed Nathan about needing a new gown. Without hesitation, Nathan made an order for a nice dress.

A few minutes later, the doorbell rang out. Nora ambled towards the entrance, where she found a deliveryman standing with two boxes. She was surprised at first, but Nora took both boxes inside. Her face was filled with excitement.

It didn’t take Nathan much time to order a dress for her. She placed the box as she began unboxing it. Her eyes widened in surprise, and her jaw dropped in disbelief when her gaze fell on Leviev’s diamond necklace worth $10.5 million.

“Wow, it’s a diamond necklace.” She gasped, clearly surprised by the luxurious gift.

“It looks really expensive,” Eva said softly.

Eva was stunned when they saw the necklace, and Nathan was taken aback in shock. He only ordered a gown; did they make a mistake in adding a necklace?

While Nora and her friend were feeling excited about the necklace, he pulled out his phone to check if he had ordered something mistakenly. He was still going through the phone when he felt a warm embrace.

“You are such a darling. I was thinking of which necklace to wear with the new gown, I had no idea you had gotten one already.”

Nathan faked a smile, “I will do anything for you, my love.” He said, flashing a bright smile, although he had a flicker of uncertainty on his face.

He wondered who would have gotten such an expensive necklace for Nora. He felt a bit jealous but maintained his composure.

”I want you to stand out in the best way possible,”

“Do you see how lovely and caring Nathan is? Within a few minutes, he had gotten you all this.” Eva teased her friend.

“Come on, it’s not a big deal. I just want her to look beautiful and be happy.” He replied.

“Thank you, I really appreciate everything you have done.”

She was happy that Nathan had helped her secure an invite and had got her a new gown and an expensive necklace. Nora had once thought it would be Impossible; she had tried every means to get to the twins of the long family but had always fallen short.

Getting an invite was a big win for her, and she should be able to convince them. It will be a complete transformation for her business and career.
