“Yes,” Britney White replied without the slightest hesitation.

“It was all a plot.”

“Of course,” she said bluntly. “How else was I supposed to avoid being seen with someone like you?”

Justin’s eyes trembled slightly at her words, and for a moment, he seemed unable to respond.

“You’re wretched,” she continued without holding back. “Just a hungry boy, dressed like a pig, having absolutely nothing to offer.”

Each word struck him like a stone, one after another, leaving no room for him to recover.

He remained standing there, completely stunned, his mind spinning so fast.

Britney began to walk toward him slowly, her expression filled not with guilt, but with clear annoyance.

“Honestly, Justin,” she said, stopping just a short distance away from him, “aren’t you ashamed of yourself?”

Justin slowly lifted his head, his face pale and strained.

Britney raised her hand and pointed directly at the mop and bucket beside him.

“You come here acting like I betrayed you,” she said sharply. “But take a good look at yourself first.”

Justin clenched his jaw, trying to steady himself.

“What kind of job is this?” she continued, her tone growing irritated. “Cleaning toilets in a hotel?”

Justin’s face tightened, but he forced himself to respond.

“Being a janitor doesn’t mean I don’t have a job,” he said quietly, though his voice carried a faint tremor.

Britney let out a loud, mocking laugh.

Justin continued speaking, as though trying to hold onto the last fragments of his dignity.

“It’s still honest work,” he said. “I may be struggling right now, but things will get better.”

He paused briefly before adding, “All you needed to do was have a little patience with me.”

Britney’s expression immediately turned into one of disbelief.

“Patience?” she repeated, staring at him as though he had just said something completely ridiculous.

“Who in their right mind would be patient enough to stay with someone like you?” she said bluntly. “You expect me to live like that, in that kind of poverty you crawled out of?”

Justin felt his heart sink even deeper at her words.

Britney shook her head slowly.

“You keep talking about a bright future,” she continued mockingly. “But let’s be honest with ourselves, Justin. That future is never going to come.”

At that moment, laughter suddenly erupted from the bed.

“Hahaha!”

Steven Ward stood up slowly, still laughing as though everything happening in front of him was nothing more than entertainment.

He casually picked up a robe and wrapped it around himself, his movements relaxed and unhurried.

“Britney,” he said with a chuckle, “you should at least show a little pity to the toilet cleaner.”

Justin’s fists tightened immediately, his knuckles burned.

Steven continued, clearly enjoying himself.

“Think about it,” he said with a grin. “The poor guy has already had a rough night.”

Britney raised an eyebrow slightly, watching him.

Steven laughed again.

“He has probably spent the whole night washing other people’s mess,” he said mockingly. “At least let him breathe for a moment. Don’t stress him too much.”

Both of them burst into laughter again, their voices echoing loudly in the room.

For a moment, he remained completely silent.

But slowly, his fists clenched even tighter, the tension building within him until he could no longer hold it back.

When he finally spoke, his voice came out low and strained, forced through gritted teeth.

“You will regret this.”

The laughter stopped.

Both Steven and Britney looked at him, their expressions changing slightly.

Justin turned his gaze directly toward Britney.

“You will regret leaving me,” he said slowly, his voice was steady despite the pain in his chest.

Then his eyes moved toward Steven.

“Especially for someone like him.”

Steven stared at him for a brief moment, and then, without warning, he burst into laughter again.

“Hahaha!”

Britney also chuckled, clearly unbothered.

“Keep dreaming,” she said dismissively.

She placed her hand proudly on Steven’s chest and lifted her chin slightly.

“There is absolutely nothing to regret about leaving someone like you behind,” she said. “I upgraded.”

Her voice was filled with pride as she continued, “I chose someone who can actually take care of me.”

Justin felt a sharp pain in his chest once again.

Britney shrugged casually.

“I only kept you around because I needed help with my math assignments,” she said.

Then she smiled faintly.

“But Steven has money.”

Steven smirked proudly at her words.

“So instead of relying on you,” Britney continued, “he can simply hire a professional tutor for me.”

“So now that you know the truth,” she added, “there is nothing else to discuss.”

She waved her hand dismissively, as though brushing Justin aside.

“You’re wasting our time,” she said.

Justin frowned slightly.

“What do you mean?” he asked.

Britney rolled her eyes.

“We were busy before you walked in,” she said bluntly.

Justin’s face turned pale immediately.

Britney let out an impatient sigh.

She turned back toward Steven lazily.

“Let’s continue what we were doing.”

Justin’s eyes widened in disbelief.

“What?” he said, his voice filled with shock. “Continue? In front of me?”

Britney turned her head and looked at him coldly.

“If you don’t want to stay and watch,” she said, “then pick up your mop and leave, like the Janitor that you are.”

She pointed toward the door.

“You know where people like you belong.”

Justin felt his throat tighten so much that he could barely breathe.

“Respect your boundaries,” she added coldly. “And walk out.”

Justin stood there silently, his humiliation cutting deeper than anything he had ever felt before.

For a brief moment, the room fell completely quiet.

Then, instead of bending down to pick up the mop and bucket…

Justin simply turned around.

Without saying another word, he walked out of the room.

His footsteps echoed in the hallway as he moved forward, each step heavy and slow.

He did not look back.

Not even once.

He reached the stairway and began descending, one step at a time, his mind completely blank.

By the time he reached the lower floor, his thoughts were still in chaos.

As he walked forward, he suddenly collided with someone.

“Justin!”

It was the hotel manager.

The middle-aged man frowned immediately.

“Where are you going?” he asked.

Justin did not respond. He simply continued walking as though he had not heard anything.

“Justin!” the manager called again, louder this time.

Still, Justin said nothing.

When he reached the entrance of the hotel, the manager rushed forward and grabbed his arm forcefully.

Before Justin could react—

SLAP!

A loud sound echoed across the lobby as the manager’s hand struck his face.

Justin’s head snapped to the side from the impact.

Slowly, he raised his hand and touched his cheek, which was already beginning to sting.

The manager glared at him angrily.

“I have been calling your name!” he shouted. “Are you deaf or are you just stupid?”

Justin lowered his eyes, saying nothing.

“You are a cleaner,” the manager continued harshly. “A toilet cleaner.”

He straightened his posture proudly.

“And I am the manager of this entire hotel.”

Justin remained silent.

“How dare you ignore me?” the manager demanded.

After a moment, Justin finally spoke in a soft voice.

“I’m sorry, sir.”

The manager narrowed his eyes.

“What is wrong with you?” he asked.

Justin hesitated before answering.

“I… just found out someone betrayed me,” he said quietly. “That is why I didn’t hear you calling.”

Before the manager could respond, the sound of footsteps echoed from the staircase.

Both of them turned their heads.

Descending the stairs were Britney and Steven, both now dressed in expensive robes, walking confidently toward the lobby.

The manager immediately straightened up when he saw them.

“Good evening, sir,” he said respectfully.

Steven looked slightly annoyed.

“What is going on here?” the manager asked nervously.

Before Justin could say anything, Britney suddenly stepped forward with a sweet smile.

“Manager,” she said calmly, “please ignore that fool.”

Justin turned his head and looked at her in disbelief.

Steven then stepped forward arrogantly.

“We were having a private moment upstairs,” he said. “But this janitor walked into our suite and started causing trouble.”

The manager’s face turned pale instantly.

“I am very sorry, sir!” he said quickly.

Steven folded his arms.

“We are considering leaving this suite,” he said coldly.

The manager immediately panicked.

“Please don’t do that!”

Steven smirked.

“Your staff clearly have no respect for customers’ privacy,” he said.

The manager bowed repeatedly.

“I sincerely apologize, sir! This will not happen again!”

Steven then looked at him with a proud expression.

“Perhaps you should know something,” he said.

The manager looked at him nervously.

“My father is Charles Ward,” Steven said confidently.

The manager’s eyes widened in shock as he immediately recognized the name.

Steven continued in a cold tone.

“If my father hears about this incident,” he said, “this hotel might not remain open for long. It will be shut down permanently.”

The manager’s face turned completely pale.

“Please, sir… don’t report this!” he begged. “Just tell me what you want.”

Steven glanced at Justin and smiled coldly.

“Simple,” he said. “Fire him.”

The manager did not hesitate for even a second.

“Done,” he said immediately.

He turned to Justin and pointed toward the exit.

“You are fired,” he said coldly.

Justin’s eyes widened in shock.

“What?”

“You used to have a small room under this hotel,” the manager continued. “Go and pack your things.”

Justin stood frozen.

“After that,” the manager added harshly, “go back to the streets where you belong.”

Justin stared at him, unable to believe what he had just heard.

“W-what…?” he stammered weakly.
