"What's going on here?" A voice sounded behind Leonard.

One of the guards roughly pushed Leonard away from the doors.

"Mr Silva Vegas, you're welcome," The guards greeted respectfully.

Silva glanced at Leonard and his eyes widened with recognition.

"You..!" He said with rage, making Leonard look towards his direction.

Silva Vegas was the man who Leonard had met at the airport in New York, who tried molesting Vanessa Norman and he had beaten him up in the airport.

Remembering that embarrassing moment, blood flowed to his brain, making him go red with anger.

"We meet again," Silva said with a smug smile.

The first time Leonard met him, he was alone and didn't have back up but right now, he was with three of his family's most renowned fighters.

Time to teach this nitwit a lesson!

He had carried out an investigation on Leonard and he found out that he was just a live-in son-in-law who had been thrown out of his wife's home.

  • Whispers In Silence:

Inside the grand yet aging hotel building, hidden behind layers of wealth and whispers, Justin Wades made his way down a quiet corridor. His footsteps were slow, calculated—not just from age but from the weight of fear and anticipation. The lamps overhead flickered slightly, and the patterned carpets swallowed the sound of his steps. As he neared the far end of the hallway, he paused, then pushed open a door marked only with a number long worn away. The room he entered was dim, almost suffocating in its silence. Heavy velvet drapes blocked the windows, casting shadows that fell like drapes themselves across the furniture and floor. The faint golden glow of a single bulb barely lit the center of the room, leaving the corners swathed in thick darkness. It was here, in this hollow between secrecy and silence, that the man stood waiting.Justin’s breath caught slightly in his chest as he stepped inside. The man—still unnamed, still unknown—stood partially hidden by the gloom, his features

  • Agnes’ Outburst:

Leonard’s jaw tightened. Their intentions were bold, dangerous, and reckless. He could already see Riven’s endgame. If he removed the Davison and Maldivian families, Justin would naturally be placed as the head of Oklahoma, and with his loyalty to Riven, the latter would have full control, puppeteering Justin like a marionette. But one piece didn’t fit. Leonard leaned back in his chair, brows furrowed. Why is Micheal involved in this? It didn’t make any sense. He continued to watch the pair with intense scrutiny as Justin murmured something else. Though the conversation wasn’t perfectly clear through the speaker, he picked up enough to deepen his suspicions. The man’s voice carried just enough coldness to remind Leonard that this wasn’t a man to underestimate. Finally, Leonard’s fingers tapped quickly across his phone screen. The message was short, direct: “I will find a way to get rid of the Maldivians family for you, but do whatever you can to make sure the Hades don’t withdr

Within the lavish hotel complex located on the outskirts of Oklahoma City, the scent of aged wood, leather, and tobacco perfumed the air. The time was well after 10 PM, and the lobby’s muted ambiance had shifted to soft footfalls and the jingling of glasses from the lounge. It was much quieter than normal at this time of day. After the last two floors consisting of the penthouse suites, a bouncer reined in black stood beside two men whispering in tuxedos, reserved suites for only the top ranking guests, with exclusive access behind velvet ropes. Beyond those areas, not visited by patrons as not marked on the blueprints of the hotel, Justin Wades sat cloaked in the dim lighting reserved for secret profiles, disguised in the smoke of legacy cigars and whiskey enabled fog, stirred thick in obscurity, frozen in time, eying the said man whom only whispers spoke of. Instead of glaring through dust glass, the hotel had illuminated these rooms. Even if cloaked, the man was beyond l
