"Hah... Hah... Hah..."

The sound of rushing and heavy breath broke the silence of the Black Mist Forest. On top of a large boulder facing directly toward a bottomless ravine, a youth knelt with both hands gripping the ground. Sweat mixed with blood dripped from his forehead, wetting his hemp cloth clothes which were already torn.

He was Qing Zilong, the young master of the Qing Clan.

"Why... WHY?!" roared Zilong in frustration, his voice hoarse withholding an extraordinarily intense pain. He hit his fist onto the boulder surface until bleeding.

Three years. Three full years of suffering he had passed through since that cursed night. As the former number one genius in the Qing clan, Zilong never surrendered. Every day, every night, he forced himself to train in the midst of this remote forest, trying to flow Qi to re-unite his ruined meridian paths. However, the result was always the exact same. Every time spiritual energy entered, a painful sensation in the manner of being sliced by a thousand knives instead tortured his body, and that Qi returned to dissipate without a remnant.

His meridians were completely disabled. For a cultivator, this was a verdict far crueler than death.

Until suddenly...

"Hahaha! Three years passed, and the genius hawk of the Qing clan turns out to change into a mangy dog wriggling in the midst of the forest!"

A rhythmic clapping of hands followed a sound of laughing that was highly familiar in Zilong's ears. A voice that instantly made the blood inside Zilong's body drift cold, triggering an anger that directly burned his chest.

Zilong looked up with difficulty. From behind the mist thicket, appeared several figures in luxury clothes, led by a youth with a highly dense meremehkan smile.

"Wang... Li..." growled Zilong, his teeth chattering until bleeding.

The figure in front of him was Wang Li. The cunning human who three years ago utilized invisible needle poison during an official duel, ruining the entirety of Zilong's meridians, and snatching all the glory that should have belonged to the Qing clan.

"Oh, you still remember my name, Disabled Young Master?" Wang Li walked drawing close, staring at Zilong from top to bottom with a disgusting view.

"Look at yourself now. Let alone taking revenge, to stand in front of me alone you are already like a beggar. Disgusting! A genius like you should know his place and just die since long ago rather than embarrassing the clan that has raised you!"

"You... cunning bastard!" Zilong tried to rise, gathering the remainder of his physical strength to dart.

However, before Zilong's body was fully upright, Wang Li moved as fast as lightning.

BOOM!

A kick loaded with pure Qi lodged squarely in Zilong's chest. The sound of ribs cracking sounded terrifying in the midst of the forest silence.

"Ugh!" Zilong vomited dense fresh blood. The flash of his eyes instantly blurred, his consciousness directly dropping sharply to the threshold of darkness due to that brutal strike.

The impact of that blow was that massive. Qing Zilong's weak body was thrown backward, passing the edge boundary of the boulder, and directly plunged in a free fall into the darkness of the bottomless ravine.

"Trash remains trash," murmured Wang Li coldly from on top of the cliff, staring at Zilong's body vanishing swallowed by the ravine mist with a satisfied smile.

However, inside the dense darkness as his body continued to slide down, Qing Zilong's pair of eyes which slowly closed stored a single highly cold flash of revenge.

"Wang Li oh Wang Li... If I am given an opportunity to live again... You are the first person who will die first in my hands..." he expressed in a withheld manner, because his consciousness truly vanished.

Until...

BOOOOOOM!

The impact was so powerful until triggering a thudding sound shaking the foundation of the ravine. Instead of being ruined into shreds of meat, Zilong's body instead landed precisely on top of a hidden ancient altar. In the middle of that altar, was embedded a black jade stone the size of a fist radiating a dense ancient aura.

The impact of Zilong's body ruined that ancient jade stone until cracking a thousand times, then broke to pieces.

Smash!

In the intervals of his consciousness which had vanished, fresh blood flowing rapidly from Zilong's chest and the blood coming out from his mouth seeped entering, wetting the core of the ruined jade stone.

Instantly that very moment, a beam of purplish light that was extraordinarily dark and dense shot out from the jade remnants. That light spun in the air, radiating a soul pressure that was so massive until making the entirety of the fierce beasts inside the Black Mist Forest simultaneously prostrate in fear.

"One million years... Finally this cursed seal is ruined as well!"

A heavy man's voice, full of ancient authority as well as deep hatred, echoed inside the cave at the base of the ravine. That purple light condensed into a soul silhouette of a man with long white hair with a gaze as empty as the universe.

He was Su Qian. The legendary former Sword God from the Immortal Realm whose name once shook the nine heavens, before finally being betrayed by the alliance of the Gods and his soul imprisoned inside that jade.

Su Qian's soul spirit currently stared at the figure of Zilong lying miserably beneath him. His own divine soul directly seeped entering into Zilong's memory which had newly been disconnected. In a glance of an eye, flashes of memory regarding Wang Li's humiliation, the betrayal three years ago, down to Zilong's despair training day and night, spun inside Su Qian's mind.

"Hah, betrayed by a cunning insect because your talent shines too brightly? Our fates turn out not to be far different, Kid," murmured Su Qian, a trace of a cold and bitterness-laden smile carved on his spirit face. Zilong's hatred toward Wang Li was as if triggering back the fire of revenge inside Su Qian's chest toward the Gods who betrayed him in the past.

Su Qian's spirit hovered down, precisely on top of Zilong's chest which had stopped beating.

"Your meridian paths are completely ruined, but your bone structure is a perfect vessel for my sword arts. All right... because your blood has freed me, I will borrow this body to rise back."

Su Qian stared at Zilong's pale face with a grand gaze.

"I swear in the name of the Sword God... that Wang Li whom you hate will become the first prey to die in our hands. And after this mortal world's business is finalized, you and I will climb back to the Immortal Realm to chop off the heads of those betraying Gods!"

BZZZZZZZZZT!

The spirit silhouette of Su Qian suddenly shrank, changing into a vortex of pure spiritual energy that directly forced its way entering inside the navel of Zilong's Dantian.

BOOM!

As soon as the soul of the Sword God united, the entirety of Zilong's broken ribs suddenly reconnected with a rhythmic cracking sound. His meridian paths which during these three years were disabled and withered, suddenly were flowed by an extraordinarily massive ancient purple Qi. The blocked paths were forced open wide, strengthened, and reforged until becoming ten times sturdier than an ordinary human.

Thump!

Zilong's heart returned to beat with an extraordinarily powerful impact.

The youth's eyelids suddenly opened wide. However, the pair of eyes which in the past were dim and full of despair had now disappeared. What remained was only a pair of deep purple eyes radiating an excessively sharp, cold, and intimidating sword flash.

He looked up, penetrating the ravine mist heading toward the place where Wang Li was located.

"Wang Li... prepare yourself. Your blood debt... must be repaid now."

Morning sunlight touched his face as Qin Zilong left the main hall. Mountain wind blew gently, sending his black robe fluttering behind him. He paused for a moment on the final step, savoring a brief silence before the real storm began. Before him, a long road stretched down the mountain ridge.Yet this time, his footsteps did not move at once.Zilong gazed far toward the horizon, piercing the thin mist that blanketed the eastern sky. Beyond those clusters of mountains lay a world far wider, wilder, and far more cruel. The Heaven Sect. The place where geniuses from every direction gathered. The place where absolute strength determined who had the right to stand tall and who must kneel upon the ground. And in that place as well… a young man named Qin Zilong had once lost everything. His fingers slowly clenched at his sides.Memories that did not entirely belong to his own soul flashed through his mind once more—a painful memory of a body lying near death in the middle of the Black Mist

News of Qin Zilong’s return spread quickly all the way to the residences of the elders. Not long after, Zilong already stood upright inside the main hall of the sect. The Great Elder, Gu Yan, Shen Luo, and Bai He were already there to receive him. The moment the hall doors opened and Zilong stepped inside, several pairs of eyes immediately fixed sharply upon him.The Great Elder observed the young man from head to toe. “You returned faster than we expected.”“The two-month time limit is almost up,” Zilong answered in a calm tone. “I have no reason to linger there any longer.”The Great Elder nodded slowly. “How is your cultivation?”Zilong smiled faintly. “It has improved a little.”Several elders in the room exchanged glances upon hearing such an overly simple answer. Yet none of them dared to underestimate those words. The Great Elder did not even attempt to examine Zilong’s cultivation level with his spiritual senses; he already understood full well that if Qin Zilong wished to con

In less than an hour, the dense rows of trees began to thin. The majestic buildings of the Southern Cloud Sword Sect gradually appeared in the distance, flanked by a sturdy gate standing between two enormous stone pillars.Beneath that gate, two figures were waiting anxiously.Han Wei stood with both arms folded across his chest, occasionally shifting his gaze toward the forest path before looking back at the gate. Beside him, Lin Yue leaned casually against one of the stone pillars.“He should have returned by now,” Lin Yue said, breaking the silence.Han Wei furrowed his brow. “Don’t be too sure.”“Why?”“Because if Young Master Qin hasn’t returned yet, you won’t be able to do anything to find him either.”Lin Yue exhaled a long breath. “I’m only speaking of the possibility.”Han Wei was about to reply when the movement of his lips suddenly stopped. His eyes locked onto a figure walking out from behind the dense trees.A torn black robe. Calm footsteps. A face they knew very well.H

Inside the dimensional space of the ring, time seemed to lose its meaning. There was no bird song, no howling of Demon Beasts, nor any forest wind carrying the scent of blood and wet earth. The only sound was Qin Zilong’s breathing, which gradually began to steady. He sat cross-legged upon a flat stretch of ground surrounded by faint white Heaven and Earth Qi. In this place, the spiritual energy felt so pure that it left almost no impurities behind. Yet Zilong’s body was still far from well. His black robe was torn in several places. Dried blood clung to the corner of his mouth, while his right arm was covered in red lines from being forced to channel the power of the black sword he had not yet fully mastered. Zilong lowered his head, then his fingers moved slowly.Pain immediately spread from his palm all the way to the base of his shoulder. Zilong furrowed his brow deeply. That sword… he thought bitterly. He remained silent for a moment. Memories of the life-and-death battle earlier

In those critical seconds, the image of Jian Wuchen once again appeared in his mind with perfect clarity. It was no longer about the exertion of muscle power.Nor was it about the speed of the slash.Rather, it was about absolute calm in the eye of the storm.Never try to fight against the wave that comes crashing in.Let the wave pass through, then use its energy.Zilong closed both eyes tightly. The monster’s claw pressed down harder, threatening to crush his chest. He waited in total silence. One second. Two seconds. Then his eyes snapped open wide, radiating sharp black light. His body shifted a fraction of a second later with an extremely slippery movement. The lethal claw narrowly missed its target. The black sword in his hand cut through the air in a single perfect trajectory.SRAAAK!An extremely deep, gaping wound appeared across the neck of the Sky Realm Demon Beast. The creature gasped and roared in a choked cry. Zilong moved following the momentum of his own body rotation.

Zilong stood up and clapped his hands together. “This thing is not merely an ordinary storage ring for dead items.” He looked down at the black ring that fit snugly on the ring finger of his right hand.“This is a complete small world.” Zilong carefully stroked the surface of the ring. “And it seems I have not even scratched the surface of all the secrets it holds.”He had no intention of wasting time forcing open every secret of the ring right now. An artifact of this high level was clearly impossible to fully comprehend in a short time. For the moment, what he had already discovered was more than enough to meet all his most urgent needs.A safe sanctuary.Abundant extra time and a golden opportunity to leap higher.Zilong channeled a small remnant of Qi into the ring on his finger. A thin black light suddenly enveloped his entire body. In the blink of an eye, his vision shifted, and he had returned to the ancient stone chamber in the real world.BOOM!The moment his consciousness re
