The hall was once again filled with low murmurs. The elders’ faces looked grim. They understood that Qing Tian’s words were not an overstatement. For hundreds of years, the Qing Clan had stood firm because of its strong ties with the Shi Clan. Now, that bond had shattered in just a single day.

Worse yet, the name of the Heaven Sword Sect had been dragged into this. The sect that ruled the eastern region was not a force a small clan like theirs could ever hope to defy.

Qing Tian let out a long sigh. He looked at his son with a gaze filled with concern. "Zilong," his voice was hoarse, "Father does not regret your courage in protecting the clan's dignity. But these consequences are too heavy. We have lost an ally, and the Shi Clan is now officially an enemy that will stop at nothing. And the Heaven Sword Sect... they will not let this humiliation slide."

The atmosphere in the hall grew heated again. The elders began to bicker; some blamed Zilong’s recklessness for pushing the clan to the brink of destruction. "He has only accelerated our doom!" one elder exclaimed.

Qing Zilong raised a hand, and the hall fell silent instantly. "An ally?" his voice was low but authoritative. "The Shi Clan did not come here as allies. They came to humiliate us on our own soil. If they abandon us in times of trouble, then they were never truly allies."

He looked at the elders one by one. "The Qing Clan does not need allies who only show up when we are strong." The words struck home, leaving the protesting elders speechless.

Qing Tian asked with a worried tone, "But what about the threat from the Heaven Sword Sect? They could wipe us out in an instant."

Zilong answered calmly, "Two months. I only need two months. Not only will Shi Nian be brought to his knees, but even Mu Rong will regret this day." All the elders fell silent, thinking it impossible, yet Zilong’s gaze seemed to see a world far beyond their own.

Qing Zilong did not explain further. He simply clenched his right fist slowly. A flow of Qi, far purer than what he had possessed three years ago, circulated quietly beneath his skin. No one in the hall noticed that the foundation of his body had completely changed.

Two months... For others, it might be too short. But for him, who had once stood at the peak of the Immortal Realm, two months was more than enough to rebuild a foundation.

Zilong then bowed before his father. "Father. I cannot become stronger just by cultivating within the clan. If I want to catch up to the Heaven Sword Sect in two months... I must risk my life."

Spontaneous opposition erupted from the elders. "Train outside? Zilong, be reasonable. Your body hasn't fully recovered. The outside world is full of beasts and rogue cultivators who wouldn't hesitate to kill you. Without the clan's protection, you are just an easy target!"

Zilong replied flatly, "Danger is the very best place for a cultivator. If I continue to hide behind this clan's protection, then in two months, I will still be defeated." That sentence silenced all debate.

Qing Tian wanted to hold his son back. As a father, he knew the outside world was far more cruel than anything Zilong had experienced before. However, when he looked into his son’s eyes, he realized that the young man before him was no longer the boy who had lived in despair for the last three years.

For the first time... Qing Tian saw hope. Finally, he nodded. "Go. The Qing Clan will wait for your return."

That night, Qing Zilong stepped out of the clan alone, without guards or servants. Only an old sword hung on his back. As he walked along a path on the outskirts of the Black Mist Forest, his steps slowed. He took a deep breath, sensing the energy around him.

Qing Zilong’s gaze slowly shifted to the mountain range on the eastern horizon. A memory from the life he had lived tens of thousands of years ago slowly surfaced in his mind.

He remembered an event from tens of thousands of years ago. On the peak of those mountains, a legendary Sword King had once stood, choosing to end his life to hide a legacy that could shake the very foundations of the Immortal Realm. For tens of millennia, thousands of talented cultivators had tried to find the location of the tomb, but all had met with failure.

To the world, that place was just a legend that had never been proven to exist. But for Qing Zilong, the path to the tomb appeared so clearly in his memory, as if he had walked it himself a thousand times.

The corners of Zilong’s lips lifted into a faint smirk. "In that case, let the journey begin."

Without looking back at the Qing Clan residence even once, he darted into the thick mist of the forest. At the same moment, far behind the isolated mountain range, a seal on an ancient tomb that had been dormant for tens of thousands of years suddenly vibrated. A dim purple light emanated from behind the rocks, splitting the darkness of the night, as if welcoming the arrival of its true master.

In those critical seconds, the image of Jian Wuchen once again appeared in his mind with perfect clarity. It was no longer about the exertion of muscle power.Nor was it about the speed of the slash.Rather, it was about absolute calm in the eye of the storm.Never try to fight against the wave that comes crashing in.Let the wave pass through, then use its energy.Zilong closed both eyes tightly. The monster’s claw pressed down harder, threatening to crush his chest. He waited in total silence. One second. Two seconds. Then his eyes snapped open wide, radiating sharp black light. His body shifted a fraction of a second later with an extremely slippery movement. The lethal claw narrowly missed its target. The black sword in his hand cut through the air in a single perfect trajectory.SRAAAK!An extremely deep, gaping wound appeared across the neck of the Sky Realm Demon Beast. The creature gasped and roared in a choked cry. Zilong moved following the momentum of his own body rotation.

Zilong stood up and clapped his hands together. “This thing is not merely an ordinary storage ring for dead items.” He looked down at the black ring that fit snugly on the ring finger of his right hand.“This is a complete small world.” Zilong carefully stroked the surface of the ring. “And it seems I have not even scratched the surface of all the secrets it holds.”He had no intention of wasting time forcing open every secret of the ring right now. An artifact of this high level was clearly impossible to fully comprehend in a short time. For the moment, what he had already discovered was more than enough to meet all his most urgent needs.A safe sanctuary.Abundant extra time and a golden opportunity to leap higher.Zilong channeled a small remnant of Qi into the ring on his finger. A thin black light suddenly enveloped his entire body. In the blink of an eye, his vision shifted, and he had returned to the ancient stone chamber in the real world.BOOM!The moment his consciousness re

The Purple Qi inside his Dantian spun automatically in response to the surrounding environment. He immediately released his spiritual perception, spreading it outward without obstruction. One thousand meters.Ten thousand meters. One hundred thousand meters.Yet no matter how far he extended his awareness, he found no end or boundary wall of any kind. The space felt boundless.Zilong furrowed his brow, filled with a mix of awe and wonder.“A space this massive…” He slowly knelt and pressed his palm directly onto the grassy ground. In that instant, an extraordinarily dense wave of Heaven and Earth Qi surged into the pores of his body without him needing to force its absorption. His Dantian spun rapidly, welcoming that pure energy.Zilong’s eyes slowly widened to their fullest.“The Qi content in this place… is extremely pure!” He drew a deeper breath, feeling the flow of energy refreshing every inch of his muscles and bones. The concentration of Qi here was almost tangible, like a thic

Zilong still stood upright amid the destruction. Yet his knees had almost completely lost their strength. With the last remnants of his power, he drove the black sword into the ground to support his swaying body.“This sword art…” Zilong regulated his ragged breathing, gripping the hilt tightly. “…is truly still too terrifying for me to control completely.”He stared at his right palm, which trembled violently and was covered in blood. If the previous battle had lasted even ten seconds longer, he would have collapsed and become easy prey for the monsters. He slowly raised his head. The ancient stone door still stood firm and silent behind him, holding mysteries yet to be unraveled.“I did not come to the Spirit Mist Forest just to throw my life away in a pointless fight,” he said softly.Zilong wiped the remaining blood from his lips with the back of his hand, then stepped back toward the stone door. The moment the blade of his black sword approached the door’s surface—DUM!The blade

The sword in that figure’s hand moved extremely slowly, yet was utterly lethal. Not a single movement was wasted. Not a single drop of strength was spent in vain.Every step had an absolute purpose, and every slash always followed the direction of the wind and the flow of the enemy’s movement.Zilong drew a deep breath, allowing that essence to sink into his soul. “So… true swordsmanship is not about how much brutal power you unleash…” His eyes suddenly sharpened like an eagle’s, radiating bright light. “…but about how you use the least possible strength for the most lethal result.”The giant bear was now right in front of him.Its deadly claws swept downward, ready to tear his body into pieces.Zilong shifted slightly. One small step to the right. The giant claws missed his shoulder by a hair’s breadth. The black sword in his hand flowed like water.SRAAK!A long, deep wound was carved into the monster’s front leg.The bear shrieked in pain. Its second claw lashed out wildly from the

Qin Zilong finally grasped the core of the relic. The sword was not merely a parasite that drained its master’s Qi. The weapon possessed its own unique and complex circulatory path. As long as he insisted on forcing control through brute strength, the sword would continue to rebel and destroy him from within. But the moment he humbled himself and followed its natural flow…The sword ceased to be a burden and transformed into a true extension of his own body.Zilong smiled faintly—a smile full of confidence in the midst of deadly encirclement. “In that case, let’s try again.”A three-eyed leopard-shaped Demon Beast lunged fiercely from the side, aiming for his neck.Zilong stepped casually. His body tilted a few centimeters to the left with elegant ease. The monster’s lethal claws merely sliced through empty air right in front of his chest. The black sword moved in perfect harmony with the momentum of his fluid turn.SRAAAK!Fresh blood sprayed into the air. The leopard staggered, losi
