Qing Zilong darted through the Black Mist Forest. Throughout the journey, he did not slow down even for a moment. He was no longer just running; he was moving in perfect harmony with the rhythm of the forest. When a low-level beast lurked behind the bushes, he did not even need to turn his head. Zilong merely tilted his body slightly, letting the sharp claws pass inches from his skin, and continued forward without looking back.

He could sense the location of every creature around him solely through the fluctuations of Qi in the air. He knew exactly when to leap to avoid stepping on tree roots that harbored poisonous energy, and he knew which way the wind was blowing to mask his tracks. The experience Su Qian had gained from thousands of battles in the past was still perfectly etched into his soul, even though the body he currently possessed was still severely limited.

Upon reaching the foot of the mountain range, Zilong stopped directly in front of a silent cliff face. There were no signs of life, only moss-covered stone walls. Yet, the corners of Zilong’s lips curled upward.

"They call this place the Tomb of the Sword King," Zilong muttered, his voice laced with amusement. "In reality, it is merely a facade I created tens of thousands of years ago."

Zilong stared at the stone wall with a distant gaze. In the past, when the alliance of the Gods began to hunt him down, he had to hide all his legacies in a remote place. He had intentionally spread rumors about a Sword King named Tian Luo who had died here, so that his hunters would only search for a tomb instead of a vault containing his true inheritance.

Zilong approached. He did not use physical strength to destroy the cliff, but instead began to regulate his flow of Qi. He traced the hidden symbols on the rock surface with his fingertips, activating energy channels that had been dormant for ages.

"Do you still remember me?" he whispered.

Slowly, the air in front of the cliff vibrated. The thick fog shrouding the stone wall parted, revealing a grand, ancient stone gate. However, as soon as the gate appeared, a suffocating pressure slammed into the ground. It was an automated security system he had installed himself. If an outsider tried to enter, the pressure would crush their bones to powder.

"Still active, I see," Zilong remarked calmly.

He opened his palm and cut it slightly with his fingertip. The moment his blood touched the surface of the gate, the ancient formation trembled. The intense pressure that had been strangling the air suddenly vanished completely, replaced by a welcoming aura, as if greeting the return of its master.

Kreeek...

The stone gate opened slowly, revealing the space within. Unlike what most people would expect—imagining piles of gold or treasure—the hall was defined by its simplicity. In the center of the room lay a circular pool radiating a deep, dense purple light. The Qi inside the room was so concentrated that it appeared foggy.

Zilong smiled with satisfaction. "Fortunately, this Dantian Spring has not dried up."

This was no ordinary pool of water. It was a Dantian Spring, a place once used by Su Qian to expand his energy capacity before breaking through to higher cultivation realms. For a cultivator in the mortal world, a single drop of this water was equivalent to a thousand Qi-gathering pills.

Zilong unslung the old sword from his back and shed his outer garments. He stood for a moment at the edge of the pool, allowing his body to adapt to the energy pressing against his skin. Without hesitation, he stepped inside.

Srett.

As soon as his foot touched the water, the pool—which had been calm moments ago—reacted violently. The purple hue deepened to the color of ink. The spiritual energy within the pool exploded, spinning into a vortex that slammed against the walls of the hall.

BOOOOOOM!!

Zilong was caught off guard. His body was thrown backward until he struck the stone wall. Fresh blood spewed from his mouth, staining the cold floor of the hall. He collapsed, gasping for air.

"Damn it..." Zilong wiped the blood from his lips with a trembling hand. His eyes fixed on the violently surging pool. "It seems this body isn't even strong enough to receive my first inheritance..."

The sword in that figure’s hand moved extremely slowly, yet was utterly lethal. Not a single movement was wasted. Not a single drop of strength was spent in vain.Every step had an absolute purpose, and every slash always followed the direction of the wind and the flow of the enemy’s movement.Zilong drew a deep breath, allowing that essence to sink into his soul. “So… true swordsmanship is not about how much brutal power you unleash…” His eyes suddenly sharpened like an eagle’s, radiating bright light. “…but about how you use the least possible strength for the most lethal result.”The giant bear was now right in front of him.Its deadly claws swept downward, ready to tear his body into pieces.Zilong shifted slightly. One small step to the right. The giant claws missed his shoulder by a hair’s breadth. The black sword in his hand flowed like water.SRAAK!A long, deep wound was carved into the monster’s front leg.The bear shrieked in pain. Its second claw lashed out wildly from the

Qin Zilong finally grasped the core of the relic. The sword was not merely a parasite that drained its master’s Qi. The weapon possessed its own unique and complex circulatory path. As long as he insisted on forcing control through brute strength, the sword would continue to rebel and destroy him from within. But the moment he humbled himself and followed its natural flow…The sword ceased to be a burden and transformed into a true extension of his own body.Zilong smiled faintly—a smile full of confidence in the midst of deadly encirclement. “In that case, let’s try again.”A three-eyed leopard-shaped Demon Beast lunged fiercely from the side, aiming for his neck.Zilong stepped casually. His body tilted a few centimeters to the left with elegant ease. The monster’s lethal claws merely sliced through empty air right in front of his chest. The roars of dozens of Demon Beasts shook the Spirit Mist Forest, shattering the dense silence of the night. The white mist hanging low among the trees churned violently, swept aside by waves of ferocious aura drawing ever closer. Enormous shadows moved behind that white curtain, creeping toward the hidden valley where Qin Zilong stood alone.Zilong gripped the rusted black sword tightly in his right hand, his knuckles turning white. His breath still came in ragged gasps, forcing oxygen into lungs that felt scorched. Fresh blood trickled thinly from the corner of his mouth, while his right arm trembled violently—the lingering aftermath of a tremendous energy clash he had not yet fully mastered. Yet beneath the crushing fatigue, his eyes remained as calm as a still lake.He glanced briefly at the ancient stone door behind his back. The iron chains that had bound that door for thousands of years now lay broken and scattered across the ground. The ancient symbols on its surface still glo

Fog swirled more wildly in the valley. From behind the trees, pair after pair of red eyes began to glow—low in the bushes, hiding among ancient roots, and lurking from old branches. Their numbers continued to creep upward, turning the night into a silent sea of threat.Zilong stood alone in front of the ancient stone door.A black sword was gripped tightly in his right hand. That arm trembled slightly, the lingering pain from the previous fight spreading all the way to his shoulder, while the Purple Qi reserve inside his body had not fully recovered. His eyes swept over the pack of Demonic Beasts surrounding him. Most were in the Earth Realm, but some of the largest had broken through the 8th and 9th Ranks.Zilong let out a short breath. "So all of you came because of this thing?"His gaze glanced briefly at the split carcass of the 10th Rank Earth Demonic Beast behind him. There was no answer. Only low, raspy growls echoed from all directions.Zilong slowly raised the dull blade. The

Zilong was stunned for a split second. Those fragments of memories were not his own, but rather the inheritance of the Sword Immortal's comprehension deeply engraved within his soul. The urgent situation at hand forced him to awaken that technique. The Demonic Beast roared and lunged again.Zilong spun his body, reaching out a hand into empty air.Whoosh!A rusted black sword instantly appeared in his grasp. The weapon's appearance looked pathetic; its surface was covered in crusts of red rust, and its blade was dull like scrap metal thrown away in the corner of a warehouse. However, the moment Zilong's fingers wrapped around the sword hilt.Boom! The blade vibrated violently. All the stored Purple Qi inside Zilong's body was suddenly and greedily sucked into the sword.Zilong's facial expression changed drastically. Qin Zilong's steps suddenly halted on the patch of damp earth. The cold night breeze brushing past the rows of ancient trees felt different this time, not just a regular chilly draft or an ordinary wind, but carrying an ancient pressure so faint that it was almost imperceptible to the senses of an ordinary cultivator. His pupils narrowed, staring straight into the impenetrable darkness of the Spirit Fog Forest."That fluctuation..." he murmured softly. There was no light source in the distance. Neither the sound of clashing nor screams could be heard. Only rows of giant trees closing in and a blanket of low-hanging white fog drifting among the branches. However, to Zilong's sharp spiritual perception, the stretch of forest no longer looked like an ordinary wilderness; a foreign entity was slumbering deeply far beneath the earth.Zilong resumed walking. The deeper he plunged inward, the more massive the concentration of Heaven and Earth Qi became. The vegetation turned wilder, the grou
