Qing Zilong darted through the Black Mist Forest. Throughout the journey, he did not slow down even for a moment. He was no longer just running; he was moving in perfect harmony with the rhythm of the forest. When a low-level beast lurked behind the bushes, he did not even need to turn his head. Zilong merely tilted his body slightly, letting the sharp claws pass inches from his skin, and continued forward without looking back.
He could sense the location of every creature around him solely through the fluctuations of Qi in the air. He knew exactly when to leap to avoid stepping on tree roots that harbored poisonous energy, and he knew which way the wind was blowing to mask his tracks. The experience Su Qian had gained from thousands of battles in the past was still perfectly etched into his soul, even though the body he currently possessed was still severely limited.
Upon reaching the foot of the mountain range, Zilong stopped directly in front of a silent cliff face. There were no signs of life, only moss-covered stone walls. Yet, the corners of Zilong’s lips curled upward.
"They call this place the Tomb of the Sword King," Zilong muttered, his voice laced with amusement. "In reality, it is merely a facade I created tens of thousands of years ago."
Zilong stared at the stone wall with a distant gaze. In the past, when the alliance of the Gods began to hunt him down, he had to hide all his legacies in a remote place. He had intentionally spread rumors about a Sword King named Tian Luo who had died here, so that his hunters would only search for a tomb instead of a vault containing his true inheritance.
Zilong approached. He did not use physical strength to destroy the cliff, but instead began to regulate his flow of Qi. He traced the hidden symbols on the rock surface with his fingertips, activating energy channels that had been dormant for ages.
"Do you still remember me?" he whispered.
Slowly, the air in front of the cliff vibrated. The thick fog shrouding the stone wall parted, revealing a grand, ancient stone gate. However, as soon as the gate appeared, a suffocating pressure slammed into the ground. It was an automated security system he had installed himself. If an outsider tried to enter, the pressure would crush their bones to powder.
"Still active, I see," Zilong remarked calmly.
He opened his palm and cut it slightly with his fingertip. The moment his blood touched the surface of the gate, the ancient formation trembled. The intense pressure that had been strangling the air suddenly vanished completely, replaced by a welcoming aura, as if greeting the return of its master.
Kreeek...
The stone gate opened slowly, revealing the space within. Unlike what most people would expect—imagining piles of gold or treasure—the hall was defined by its simplicity. In the center of the room lay a circular pool radiating a deep, dense purple light. The Qi inside the room was so concentrated that it appeared foggy.
Zilong smiled with satisfaction. "Fortunately, this Dantian Spring has not dried up."
This was no ordinary pool of water. It was a Dantian Spring, a place once used by Su Qian to expand his energy capacity before breaking through to higher cultivation realms. For a cultivator in the mortal world, a single drop of this water was equivalent to a thousand Qi-gathering pills.
Zilong unslung the old sword from his back and shed his outer garments. He stood for a moment at the edge of the pool, allowing his body to adapt to the energy pressing against his skin. Without hesitation, he stepped inside.
Srett.
As soon as his foot touched the water, the pool—which had been calm moments ago—reacted violently. The purple hue deepened to the color of ink. The spiritual energy within the pool exploded, spinning into a vortex that slammed against the walls of the hall.
BOOOOOOM!!
Zilong was caught off guard. His body was thrown backward until he struck the stone wall. Fresh blood spewed from his mouth, staining the cold floor of the hall. He collapsed, gasping for air.
"Damn it..." Zilong wiped the blood from his lips with a trembling hand. His eyes fixed on the violently surging pool. "It seems this body isn't even strong enough to receive my first inheritance..."

Zilong smiled thinly. "So that's how it is. If the scent alone isn't enough... you just need a little insult."He turned back.HOOOAAARRR!!The Fang-Rock Ape pack gave chase instantly. The ground trembled. The trees shook. Zilong moved through the forest swiftly, but he did not run at full speed. Occasionally, he slowed his pace, allowing the pack to catch a glimpse of his silhouette, then picked up speed again.HOOOAAARRR!! The roar grew closer. Zilong glanced back briefly. "Almost there."The border of the Mist Fire Wolf territory came into view. He accelerated. As soon as he crossed into the wolf territory, Zilong made a sharp turn. His body leaped into a tree, and he suppressed his entire aura. A few seconds later...BOOOOM!! The Fang-Rock Ape pack burst into the territory.Auuuuuu!! Wolf howls rang out from all directions. HOOOAAARRR!! The ape pack retorted with thunderous roars. The two beast packs collided. Claws struck flesh. Fangs tore through skin. Small trees toppled under

Qing Zilong instantly held his breath. He pressed his aura down to the absolute lowest point. A few other wolves lifted their heads.Grrr... The Wolf King stood up. Its gaze swept through the trees.Zilong remained still. He did not move a single muscle. One second. Two seconds. A moment later, the Wolf King laid back down. The other wolves lowered their guard. Zilong smiled thinly.‘Your senses are quite sharp.’He began to weigh his options. “Attacking directly? Impossible.”“With my body’s current condition, facing dozens of beasts at once is the same as seeking death.”“Wait? Once the fruit is perfectly ripe, the Wolf King will eat it immediately. Burn the nest?” Zilong shook his head slowly. "Cannot."A change in temperature that is too drastic could destroy the spiritual essence of the Green Flame Fruit. His gaze swept the forest surrounding the nest. A few moments later... his eyes stopped. Three large gouges were visible on a tree trunk to the west. Zilong climbed down from hi

Qing Zilong continued to walk through the forest without pause. Only after the growls of the beast pack could no longer be heard did his pace begin to slow."Ukh..."He pressed his hand against his left side. The pain he had suppressed now surged sharply from his ribs to his back. His left arm felt numb and was difficult to move. Zilong leaned against the trunk of a large tree, catching his breath for a moment.‘It seems I pushed this body too hard.’He tried to move his left arm. Pain immediately shot through to his shoulder. His brow furrowed.‘This body is still too weak.’If he still possessed his former body, a beast like the Black Bear King wouldn’t even be worth unsheathing his sword for. But things were different now. Qing Zilong’s body had only recently recovered from three years of damaged meridians. His Dantian had indeed been re-forged, but his cultivation level remained far too low.Zilong closed his eyes for a moment.‘No need to rush. As long as my foundation remains so

The Black Bear King raised its head high, unleashing a roar that shook the entire valley.ROOOAAARRR!!The sound wave swept through the forest, sending leaves flying. The cliff shuddered violently, and chunks of rock tumbled from its peak."Alert!" The mercenary leader instinctively raised his axe. Though he tried to appear calm, his fingers could not hide the tremors of fear. "That’s... the Black Bear King!"His subordinates’ faces went pale. "We’re done for...""Kid!" one of them shouted at Qing Zilong. "If you want to live, run!"But Qing Zilong did not budge. His gaze remained fixed on the giant figure before him. He did not look at its size, nor was he fixated on its ferocity. All he saw was a collection of exposed weaknesses.‘Its breathing is unstable. Its left leg has a slight limp. Its shoulder…’ Zilong’s gaze stopped on a still-wet wound. ‘It just finished another fight. In that case... I still have a chance.’The mercenary leader gritted his teeth. "If we just stand here, w

In the Main Hall of the Heaven Sword Sect, the atmosphere suddenly grew tense. Mu Rong, an inner elder of the sect, had just received a report from the investigation team that had returned from the mountains. The team leader produced a small jade container and opened it, letting a wisp of purple Qi drift out.Mu Rong caught the Qi on his palm. He remained silent for a moment, his face slowly turning serious."Master," Shi Nian, who was standing beside him, asked curiously, "is that Qi special?""This is Purple Qi," Mu Rong answered softly. "The sect’s ancient texts only mention the name. It does not explain who the owner is or its origin." Mu Rong stared again at the Qi on his palm."However... the person who left this Qi was able to enter that place without destroying a single formation. That means... it is highly likely that they possess an understanding of ancient formations. Now, what about the results of the investigation?" Mu Rong asked, turning to the team leader."There is no

Qing Zilong landed lightly on a high tree branch, his gaze sweeping over the arena below with calm detachment. The battlefield had been transformed into a scene of devastation; massive trees lay toppled, and the ground was scarred with cracks from the collision of wild Qi.Two men in armor lay lifeless, bearing gruesome lacerations. Not far from them, an elderly guard leaned weakly against a tree trunk. His breathing was heavy, and blood continued to seep from a torn shoulder. In front of the guard, a girl in a white silk dress stood firm. Though the sword in her hand trembled violently, her gaze remained as sharp as a razor. Before them, a giant beast resembling a bear, its skin covered in steel-like scales, roared until the forest foliage shook.ROAAARRR!!Zilong observed for a moment. Decent talent, but her combat experience is still too shallow, he thought coldly. If the battle continued, the girl wouldn’t be able to hold out for more than a few heartbeats."Fall back," Zilong sai
