Chapter 9

Lewis stared at the woman  in confusion, he didn't know her and she referred to him as an ‘old friend’?

Besides Allison he had never found any woman more beautiful until now, her figure was to die for and her beautiful eyes held a seductive gaze if stared into for too long.

The woman smiled warmly, her eyes glittered with joy seeing him but Lewis seemed confused. “I’m glad you're out.”

“Who are you?” he asked curiously, arching his brows.

“Zullian had recommended you.” she revealed, gripping his hand in hers. “Your master and my grandmother are very good friends, although she's really sick now, you're the only one who can help her.” She scrunched her face in concern while she led him to the car, he was seemingly appalled by her beauty and pinched himself from being carried away. “I’ll explain details all you need to know once we arrive.” she tells him, her voice in panic, unlike how she had seemed earlier.

 Lewis was shocked that she had mentioned his master’s name, only a limited number of people knew him and yet it was people who were somewhat older but this woman, she looked very young.

“How did you get in contact with him?” Lewis asked calmly, it was also hard to get to see Zullian, his master, even in prison.

A smile tugged on her lips. “I'm Irene West and I have my ways.”

She gestured for him to get into the car. “I need your help.”

“What for?” Lewis was taken aback that a woman who was evidently of high status would need his help.

“My grandmother is dying, you need to save her, no matter what.” Irene explained, her brows scrunched in worry. 

“How are you certain I can be of help?” Lewis asked.

“You’re a student Zullian, I’m sure you can do it just right.” Irene responded.

They both walked into the 

Just then the car came to a halt, sending them forward. “What’s going on mark?” Irene frowned at her driver, leaning back into the seat.

“Ma’am a car suddenly stopped in front of ours.” Mark explained pointing towards the car just in front of theirs.

A man stepped out, dressed in a fine suit, his jaw sharp and his countenance seemed intimidating.

He dusted his coat and walked towards the car. Her men stepped out of the car trying to drop him but they were rough trousers on the ground in split seconds. His fighting skills weren’t something to be messed with…. This man. Tom Wallace never ceased to continuously hunt Irene.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Irene snarled as soon as she stepped out of the car, her eyes red in anger.

“You know quite well what I'm here for darling.” Tom snickered. “You keep running away from me.”

“I clearly mentioned numerous times that I'm in no way interested in marrying you,” she said sternly.

“Your family thinks otherwise Irene, quit being stubborn and actually marry me”

“If you continue to act this way, you’ll only make me more irritated seeing you, I will not get married to a wrench like you nor give in to family pressure.” Irene continued, Tom smirked. Walking towards her.

“You’re beautiful, smart and wealthy, what comes next? Marriage and kids.” He swept the jale off her face but she didn’t bat an eye.”

“That could be for whatever women who would die to marry you, you are certainly not worthy to be with me.” She spat on his face. “The next time you trail me or bother me again, I will make sure you regret it.” She warned calmly but fiercely.

Tom leaned closer, gripping her wrist. “You need me, you need me to protect you so quit being a nuisance and come along with me!” He had lost his patience, today he had finally come to take her and will force her to marry him. “I will make your life easy yet you keep lifting your head up with pride, I will make sure to humble you!”

Irene fought to get out of his grip but it was impossible.

“Let go of me!” She warned.

Ignoring her words he was about to turn around when someone held his hand firm. “Let go off hee right now.”

Time turned to see who the scrawny looking man was, he hadn’t taken notice of him, he scrunched his brows, staring Lewis up and down. “How dare a filthy bastard like you touch me? Do you want to die?”

“If she doesn’t want to come with you then let her be.” Lewis tells him calmly but Tom wasn’t planning on listening.

“Who the hell are you to tell me what to do?” Tom snapped.

“Let go off hee right now.” Lewis’ tone changed, Irene wanted to say something but decided to see how this was going to play out.

“And if I don't? Do you think a puny thing like you can bring me harm?” Tom snickered.

“If you don’t let her in three seconds, I will make you beg on your knees.” Lewis stared at him dead in the eye, without blinking.

“It’s fine Lewis, I don't want you getting hurt, you need to heal my grandmother, my men will take you home, I don’t mind going with him.” Irene said trying to save Lewis from the wrath of Tom, he was a fierce martial arts fighter and he feared he might actually end up killing Lewis if she didn’t bring an end to this.

“You heard her, I’ll forgive you since she agreed to come with me, now leave before I actually change my mind.” Tom smirked, staring Lewis in the eye.

“One…” Lewis counted.

“Do you seriously want to die?” Tom was getting agitated all over again.

“Lewis please listen to me.” Irene called to him.

“Two….” 

“I’ll kill you then.” Tom swerved about to punch Lewis but one kick from Lewis sent him to his knees. Without holding back, Lewis pulled his wrist, brutally fracturing it.

“Ahhhh.” Tom let out a piercing scream.
