Ch 07: Living Under One Roof

"Everyone stay where you are!"

The policewoman warned again. This time her voice was slightly louder than before, with a serious expression on her face.

Previously, she and several fellow police officers were looking for a fugitive who was suspected of being in this hotel. And while checking the VIP rooms, they heard a commotion in one of the rooms.

The policewoman was beautiful with tan skin. Her name was Ellie Scoot. Her copper-colored hair was tied back in a ponytail, showing her elegance.

When her gaze tried to make sense of the situation around her, she was surprised to see men in black suits sprawled out on the floor. Even more surprising was that she saw the young master from the Murph family and four young masters from entrepreneurial families kneeling in front of a man who was completely foreign to her.

"What's going on? Who is this man? How can he make the young master of the Murph family kneel like this?" Ellie muttered, pausing for a moment. "From their battered faces, it seems like this man just beat them up."

Ellie then turned her attention to Uncle Xiao. For a moment, she didn't realize who the old man was, and only felt a sense of familiarity in her heart. However, after she tried to remember, her eyes widened slightly.

He knew what the man was about to say, making him want to silence him directly. Even though the police had arrived, this wasn't the time to do unnecessary things.

The Murph family was a respected family. If they were prosecuted by law just because of a low-class-looking man like Leon, what would they say to the Murph family, the media, and the public?

"Aarghh!" the man groaned. The extraordinary pressure felt like it was tearing his skin. However, he knew who was doing this, so he immediately shut his mouth and didn't dare lift his face anymore.

Shaun and the other colleagues were briefly silent when they realized that it was Uncle Xiao who had acted. Their courage, which had dwindled earlier, couldn't rise again.

Meanwhile, Bella was also shocked. She turned to Leon and muttered, "Who is Leon, really? Even when faced with a situation like this, he can turn things around. He looks ordinary, but it turns out he's so great that he forces Mr. Xiao to act for him."

Uncle Xiao then corrected his expression. He turned to Ellie and acted friendly.

"Ahaha. Sorry, ma'am. It's not what you think. It all started from a misunderstanding. We were just having a small quarrel and the matter is over. You don't have to worry."

Ellie narrowed her eyes slightly when she heard that. The condition of the room was already this chaotic, how could it be called a small quarrel?

The woman then turned to her partner. "Check the CCTV for evidence."

"For you guys, come with us to the station. Explain the chronology there."

Uncle Xiao snorted roughly hearing that. He didn't want this, but he had no choice but to follow the legal procedures.

This room was a special VIP room for guests who wanted to eat with their family, so there were CCTVs in two corners of the room. As for private rooms, they provided them in other rooms.

With the CCTV, Uncle Xiao couldn't be sure whether his actions of using spiritual energy to attack Leon were recorded or not. He guessed that the CCTV must have been damaged due to the energy he released earlier. However, that wasn't certain. Maybe it wasn't like that.

Leon and Bella walked out of the police station. After questioning, they were declared innocent. Meanwhile, the CCTV in the room was indeed damaged, but Shaun, Uncle Xiao, and several others were still being questioned further for their actions.

Bella sighed wearily for a moment. She really didn't expect to experience a day full of tension today.

When you acted arrogantly in front of Mr. Xiao, I even imagined seeing your corpse lying pitifully in front of that old man."
