Atticus scrutinized his status, which clearly displayed his attributes, but he couldn't help but wonder about the question marks. "Uhh, why are some of these things unknown?" Atticus inquired of the system.

[Host doesn't have the proper clearance to view this information, as it might distract you from your path. The system also has limited capabilities to identify some attributes. The stronger you become, the clearer it will all become.]

So, it essentially boiled down to becoming stronger, which was Atticus's primary goal anyway. "Do you have a name?" Atticus asked.

[I am just known as the Reaper System.]

"Well, from now on, I'll refer to you as Rhea, and you can call me Atticus. 'Host' feels a bit odd," Atticus suggested.

[Noted, Master Atticus.]

As Atticus rose from the bed, he realized it was time to clean himself and take a bath. The banquet mentioned by Lei Meihua was a celebration of the sect's high-ranking elder's breakthrough in cultivation. It symbolized an increase in strength for the Bloodhound sect. Although the strength of one elder wasn't enough to determine the sect's power, the collective strength of the elders played a significant role.

The Bloodhound sect was classified as a 3rd-grade sect, with the sect leader, Cedric Bloodhound, being a peak Core Formation realm expert. The seven inner court elders also boasted various levels of the Core Formation realm. However, what truly defined the Bloodhound sect's status were its earlier sect leaders and ancestors, every sect had ancestors who protected them from the shadows, there where known as the true backbone and powerhouses of this sects. Also rumors circulated that the Bloodhound sect possessed ancestors in the Legendary Dao Seeking realm.

For 2nd-grade sects, their powerhouses were more apparent. The Golden Lotus sect, for example, had a sect leader already in the Dao Seeker realm. This feat alone surpassed the reach of most cultivators in their lifetimes. In the entire Azure continent, the known Dao Seeker experts numbered no more than a thousand, even though Aethralis was a planet where there were over a trillion cultivators. Their hidden powerhouses on the other hands were also at Dao seeker realm, but in this realm it wasn't just about stages anymore but of comprehension. The difference between two Dao seeker expert might be last large as the differences between a mortal and a spirit sovereign expert if one of them had deeper comprehension of his Dao.

Above the Dao Seeker realm was Dao Ascension, where cultivators discovered their Dao and gained mastery over multiple aspects of it. Only 1st-grade sects housed Dao Ascension experts, and there were only four such sects in Aethralis, one in each continent. They held hegemonic power in this world.

Atticus's gaze extended beyond these realms. Based on what Amsodeus had implied, there were levels beyond Dao Ascension and worlds beyond Aethralis. Atticus was determined to explore all the possibilities within the 33 heavens.

"What's next, Rhea? How do I fix all this? Is there some kind of beginning boost I can get?" Atticus knew he couldn't continue cultivating in the same way as the previous inhabitant of this body. He had attempted to gather spiritual energy but found that he couldn't even sense it properly, as if his senses were dulled.

Atticus was unaccustomed to this feeling. In his past life, he had been a genius, and the only obstacle he faced was not having enough time to cultivate or finding the right place to do so. This, however, was a pathetic start.

[Master Atticus currently possesses a low-grade meridian vein, which limits the amount of spiritual energy it can gather. This is the main reason for your low cultivation. But you can go to the system shop and purchase a replacement with Reaper points.]

Reaper points? At the mention of these points, Atticus called up the system interface to access the shop. The notion of being able to purchase a new set of meridian veins was surreal, but it was in line with a system created by the King of Hell himself.

As Atticus perused the shop items, his eyes widened in awe at the vast array of offerings. From pills to weapons to even organs, the shop was a multipurpose market in its own right.

"Rhea, show me the available meridian veins," Atticus requested.

Lists of different grades of meridian veins appeared before him:

[Low-grade Ice Meridian Vein] - 150 points

[High-grade Fire Meridian Vein] - 300 points

[Mid-grade Earth Meridian Vein] - 200 points

[Dual Fire & Ice Peak-grade Meridian Vein] - 1000 points

Atticus knew that every cultivator had an elemental affinity, an element they excelled in. This affinity depended on the type of meridian the cultivator was born with. In his past life, Atticus possessed the Dark elemental affinity, which he didn't use much. However, in this life, he had a Water elemental affinity due to his low-grade meridian set.

Cultivators with dual affinities were considered geniuses, but even they had varying levels of proficiency in each element. Atticus understood that it meant they progressed faster in their dominant element, while the secondary one lagged behind. For example a cultivator with dual affinity of ice and fire could have a 100% affinity to ice while a 40% to fire and this just meant that the cultivator will progress faster in his comprehension with the ice element than the fire.

In rare cases, cultivators possessed more than two elements, making them highly sought-after by sects. It showcased their tremendous potential. These are geniuses that every sect always wanted to have, and being born with a meridian like those would make the cultivator progress faster as sects were willing to pour their resources to the cultivator having the highest potential.

"Show me the best meridian vein that you think is suitable for me," Atticus instructed Rhea.

[Divine Chaos-grade Meridian Vein - 100,000 points]

"This meridian vein is one of a kind. Even in the 33 heavens, only the heavens' favored could hope to come close in terms of quality. These meridians have the power of adaptation and will allow you to use all elements once tempered enough by that element."

Atticus was left in awe by Rhea's explanation. This meridian vein was like a cheat code. There was no known cultivator who could harness all elements. It was said to defy the laws of heaven and cultivation itself.

"Wait, how do I even earn these points?" Atticus asked, realizing he still needed to acquire them before making a purchase.

[Reaper Points will be earned passively each time you cause negative emotions in people around you. The points will be graded by the intensity of the emotions. To actively earn points, you can take on system missions or eliminate targets.]

As Atticus left the underground ring, the cheers and bloodthirsty roars of the crowd still echoed in his ears. His steps were steady, his expression calm, but beneath the surface, his body thrummed with a strange energy. The soul essence of the Bone Crusher, the life force of his defeated opponent, lingered within him, fueling his every step. The system was doing its work, absorbing the essence and converting it into raw power. His mind was flooded with the sensation of strength—a heavy, suffocating weight that both thrilled and disturbed him. The Reaper Points tally flashed in his vision, now at a staggering 50,000."All that from one fight," Atticus muttered to himself as he crossed through the dark, winding corridors. The weight of the negative emotions he had absorbed—the fear, the hatred, the malice of the crowd and the Bone Crusher—pressed down on him like a suffocating cloak. It had fueled his victory, his current profit. It was a dark, addictive power, one that came at the co
