The voice belonged to a woman and when they all turned to the direction it came from, they saw a beautiful young lady in a black jumpsuit standing with her arms folded across her chest.

She had a very confident look on her face was seriously glaring at Richmond and his clique.

When her cold eyes met with Svetlana, she snorted at her. “And you, Svetlana or whatever you're called. Take my brother's and parents' names out of your mouth.”

"Since you've decided to follow your rich playboy boyfriend, why won't you leave Adolphus alone.”

"What did he ever do to you except for helping you out, you ungrateful bitch.”

Abigail was not afraid of Richmond and his friends. She had to stand up for Adolphus when he saw them bullying him again like the previous night.

Her audacity was intimidating but Svetlana managed to retort.

“Abigail, the lover girl. Of course, you'll defend your wretched crush but you have to watch how you speak to me next time."

“I won't tolerate your insolence no matter who you think you are."

“You're just a barking dog that can't bite, dear Svetlana. I dare you to do your worst. What am I even saying?"

“There's nothing you can do except for hiding behind your promiscuous boyfriend." Abigail fired back, still glaring at each of them.

“I won't let you keep insulting me, Abigail Graham. But I'll let this pass because of the relationship I have with your brother, Pius." Richmond cautioned her but she started laughing.

He ignored her and scanned the lecture hall in search of Pius who was not there.

Adolphus and his friends just quietly watched the drama with Donald and Glover laughing to their heart's content. However, Adolphus kept a serious face and pretended not to notice what was going on.

Abigail may be helping him but he didn't ask for her help.

He had decided not to have anything to do with her and any member of her family.

Now everyone would think that they have something together if she keeps interfering with his businesses.

“What will you do, Richmond?" Abigail had now decided to completely take the matter into her hands. But then, the drama was cut short.

At that moment, a police car pulled up outside the hall and two policemen walked into the hall and the silent whispers amongst the other students increased.

“What's going on? Why is the police here?" A student blurted out and another inquired.

“I'm sure they're here to arrest someone. Who might that be?" Another student replied.

"Look, they're going towards Adolphus. I'm sure he's the one who'll be whisked out of here. Let's watch and see.”

As the other students continued to converse amongst themselves, Richmond called out to the policemen.

“Officers, it's good that you're here. Look at him over there and take him away." Richmond pointed at Adolphus while nodding with so much pride.

He believed that the officers had come to throw Adolphus out of the school on Mr. Lesley's orders.

“Please, hurry up and take him away from here already.” Svetlana supported her boyfriend.

They were all confused when the policemen passed by Adolphus and went to stand before Richmond and Svetlana.

“Mr. Richmond, you and your friends are under arrest for framing Adolphus last night and illegally arresting him.”

“We saw the footage of all that transpired at the birthday party. Adolphus was clearly innocent of the accusations against him.” One of the officers spoke to the astonishment of everyone present.

“What! Have you gone mad? How dare you come here to embarrass me before everyone?” Richmond barked, breathing fire and brimstone as he glared at each of the policemen.

He also saw that some students had brought out their phones and were making videos of him.

As the students president and a well respected person in that school, Richmond was beyond embarrassed.

“No, you got it all wrong. You're supposed to take him away from the school premises because he's already expelled.” Richmond pointed at Adolphus as he spoke.

“When their faces met, Adolphus raised his brows at him and flashed him with a mischievous grin.”

That action got him really mad that he charged at Adolphus but the policemen subdued him.

“It's either you peacefully come with us or we'll be forced to drag you with us. However, I'll advise that you save yourself the embarrassment and follow us.”

Richmond swallowed hard when he saw how serious the men were. He glanced at Svetlana and each of his friends who were looking helplessly at him.

“Richmond, are they really going to arrest us. The other students are making videos of us and I don't like it. Do something already.” Svetlana called out to him while shaking his hands.

“Call your father to come and save us from this embarrassment.”

Richmond quickly nodded his head and reached for his trousers pocket to bring out his phone but one of the officers stopped him.

“We don't have time for this. You can make a call when we get to the police station. Now move it.”

Seeing that Richmond was reluctant to follow them, they decided to drag him out while his friends were led out.

“You have no idea who you're pushing. I'm going to deal with all of you.” Richmond cursed at them but they didn't reply to him.

Instead, they continued dragging him out.

While there was chaos and a lot of noises from the other students, one voice stood out.

“Enjoy your stay in the police cell, dear Richmond and my darling Svetlana. You guys should continue your love story there.” Adolphus spoke mockingly in a very loud voice that left Richmond growling in so much anger.

Although Adolphus knew that Richmond's father would set him free immediately. However, he was satisfied with how he was embarrassed before everyone.

Adolphus stood still, gaping at Abigail with a confused look on his face. He wanted her to continue walking, but she stopped when the phone rang. “Aren't you going to answer the call?” She called out, but Adolphus didn't budge. He let the phone continue ringing, and it eventually stopped. Adolphus had this strange feeling about the caller's identity. He felt that it was his father on the line, and there was no way he'd answer the call before Abigail. The phone began to ring again, and he gradually brought it out, making sure that Abigail didn't see the screen. “Excuse me, I need to take this.” He muttered, scurrying away and finally standing out of earshot. He'd seen that it was his father on the line, and he wouldn't want to decline the call. Nicolas McAllen was a very busy person, so taking some time out of his busy schedule to call Adolphus means that he truly cared about his son.He even had to hurry to the hospital late at night when he heard the unfortunate news of Adolphu

“Don't worry about your family. They'll eventually come around.” Adolphus dismissed her fears like they were nothing. They meant nothing to him because he was now beyond their reach. The Grahams could only get him when he acted carelessly like the previous night a truck almost ran him over.Adolphus was still convinced that it was not an accident. Abigail gave him that ‘are you being serious’ kind of look. She knew her parents more than him, and there's no way they'll accept Adolphus unless he was from a rich family. And from what she had learned about Adolphus, he didn't have any other family except his mother. Abigail has not seen any man in their lives, and in the little time she interacted with Doris Stephenson, she never said anything about Adolphus's father. She always avoided answering any question that related to the topic about Adolphus's father.Doris was an orphan, but Adolphus wasn't, and his father was still alive. With those thoughts in her mind, Abigail decided to

“It's just a matter of time before the person shows himself, so being anonymous doesn't make someone a ghost.” The students went on and on in disagreement with Richmond that he had to furiously leave the place. It was all Adolphus's fault who brought the matter up. He had intentionally done that to make Richmond feel embarrassed, and he succeeded. After Richmond and his friends left the place, everyone dispersed. However, Adolphus went to get his injury treated before going back to class. Abigail was yet to find out what transpired in the accounting department because of her.She didn't know that Pius and Adolphus fought because of her. After classes, Adolphus went to wait for Abigail while his friends and their girlfriends went to have lunch together. Everyone wouldn't stop talking about the earlier incident. He waited for her by the lobby, and when she finally showed up before him, he handed the box to her, smiling. “You forgot this last time.”Before Abigail's eyes met his hand

“Now, you're bleeding.” Glover added, taking out a handkerchief from his pocket and pressing it onto Adolphus's forehead where the blood was coming out from. They stood meters away from the other students who were gossiping about the earlier incident. Some were in support of Pius and were throwing abuses at Adolphus. Only a few people didn't take sides. “Do you want to kill him? He was only looking out for his sister and did what every brother would do?” One person called out, pointing at Adolphus, who ignored them.“I would have done the same thing if my sister was in a relationship with someone like him. I'm quite sure he'd also want his own sister to end up with someone better than him.” Another person added. While they blamed and cursed at Adolphus, Pius charged at him, but surprisingly, Drake held onto him. Drake stopped his friend from fighting Adolphus, whispering to him.“You shouldn't bring yourself so low as to fight with someone like him. There are better ways to do tha

Stunned to hear what his friends have just spoken, Adolphus gave them a very serious look and stated as a matter of fact. “I don't think I can stay away from her any longer, no matter the opposition we face. In fact, Abigail is the one I want to build my life with, and I'm sure her family would have no choice but to deal with that.”Being a different person, Adolphus was sure that nothing would be able to stop his relationship with Abigail. Her family was just ranting. It's only a matter of time before they succumb and give in.In fact, they'd do everything possible to be on his good side.“Wow! That was really fast. You guys just started dating, and you're already sure about her.” Donald commented, sharing a glance with Glover. It was Adolphus's confidence for them. The naive Adolphus they knew was changing every day. The friends believed it was good to have confidence, but too much of it was bad.At that moment, Adolphus was displaying over confidence. “You said it yourself, Abi

Bradley swallowed hard, his eyes fixed on Adolphus's serious face, and with furrowed brows, he inquired. “Do you suspect anyone?”Adolphus thought about it for a moment before shaking his head. “No, I don't have anyone in mind that'd want me dead. However, I have this feeling that someone planned it to look like an accident.”Adolphus has the feeling that Ursula McAllen was the suspect. Or was it Richmond?Since Richmond had the mind to send people to beat him up to coma, it was also possible that he could pull off such a stunt. There's also his newly found household foe. His father's wife could be the one behind it.Well, he wasn't so sure because he knew nothing about her.He was yet to find out if she was capable of pulling that off.Adolphus knew nothing about Ursula McAllen and if she was just angry that her husband had another child.
