The ghostly claw flexed toward Anthony with a sharp crackling sound that pierced the ears and sent chills down the spine. Under the pale moonlight, it emanated a thick, bone-deep cold.

In the next second—

Whoosh!

A stream of black mist surged out from the claw.

Without hesitation, Anthony reached out and grabbed it. In an instant, a golden force burst from his palm, forming the shape of a dragon's claw.

With one sweep, the golden dragon claw dispersed the black mist and seized the ghostly hand.

Gurgle… gurgle…

The claw trembled violently.

Suddenly, bubbles erupted from beneath the water, as if something was about to emerge.

Anthony’s brows tightened. With a fierce swing of his arm, the golden claw yanked the ghostly hand from the river.

"AAAAHHHH!!"

A dreadful shriek filled the air.

With a single squeeze, Anthony crushed the claw into fragments.

No demon or ghost dared to approach him.

But then, hundreds of ghostly hands suddenly rose from the surface of the water, clawing at the air

The man who had just pushed Osborne suddenly flew into the air.A second later, Anthony’s brow furrowed. He snapped his arm downward.Boom!“Ugh—ahh!!”The man crashed violently to the ground, his ribs and legs shattering on impact.Anthony hadn’t gone for the kill. This place was full of children—he didn’t want them witnessing a bloodbath.Still, the sight was enough to terrify Bonnie and the others. How could a man just fly into the air like that?“He’s a martial artist!” Bonnie pointed at Anthony, shouting. In an instant, the men around her froze.Anthony was a martial artist. And they were just regular people. There was no comparison.Meanwhile, the children gasped in awe. “Big brother knows magic!” “Big brother, show us more magic!” “Big brother, do more magic!”Bonnie’s group turned pale. But Anthony smiled at the children. “Who wants to see more magic? Hands up!”“I do! I do!” the kids shouted, voices overlapping with excitement.Anthony looked at the stunned adults, shrugge

When the filming finally ended, Bonnie let out a long breath of relief. She turned to the kids with a fake smile. “Alright, little ones, come take a group photo with me!”Once the children lined up, one of her team members brought out a leather suitcase. The case opened to reveal a neatly stacked pile of one million in cash.Anthony raised an eyebrow at the display. But then, once the cameras stopped rolling, the staff member casually closed the case—and carried it away.Anthony’s face darkened immediately.Take the money out just for the show, then take it back?Worse still, Bonnie’s fake smile disappeared the moment the cameras were off, replaced by a cold, indifferent expression.“We’re done. Let’s go,” she said sharply, turning to leave.“Stop right there.”Anthony’s voice rang out.Bonnie turned her head. “What is it?”“What’s the meaning of this? Wasn’t that money meant for the orphanage? Why are you taking it back?”Anthony tried to keep his anger in check.Bonnie looked at him

“Caroline, you’re here.”An elderly man in simple clothes stepped out of a nearby room.“Dean!”Caroline rushed over and gently supported him.Though the dean’s eyes were kind, his complexion was pale—clearly the result of long-term illness.Caroline quickly introduced, “Dean Osborne, this is Mr. Jones. He came today to see if he can help treat your condition.”“Hello, Dean.”Anthony smiled politely and offered a respectful nod.Osborne looked at Anthony with admiration. “So young, yet already so skilled in medicine. I’m truly impressed, Mr. Jones.”“You flatter me, Dean.”Anthony replied humbly. Then Osborne turned to Caroline with a teasing smile. “Caroline, is Mr. Jones your boyfriend?”The question caught both of them off guard.Even the orphanage staff nearby looked on with curious smiles.Anthony’s expression turned slightly awkward, while Caroline’s face flushed red with embarrassment. She quickly waved her hands. “No, Dean, we’re just colleagues—he’s my superior.”Osborne chuc

He nodded. “Sure.”“Mhm.”Caroline gave a soft, almost shy nod. Then Anthony paused and said suddenly, “Caroline, why don’t you go back upstairs and get some rest? If you like my room that much, I can give it to you.”Caroline’s face turned red all the way to her ears. She had no idea how to respond to that.Anthony stood and headed upstairs. There were plenty of rooms on the second floor—he could just pick another one. After a few steps, he turned back. “Oh, right—what time tomorrow?”“Ah?”Caught off guard, Caroline quickly responded, “Whenever you decide is fine!”Anthony nodded. “Then I’ll take care of my things in the morning and we’ll go after that.”Serena Phillips was leaving Silverhaven City tomorrow morning. If she was flying out, he could at least see her off. They were friends, after all…“Alright!”Caroline replied without hesitation. She watched as Anthony went upstairs, and then followed quietly behind.True to his word, Anthony had left the room for her.Caroline felt

At 11:30 PM, a Bentley pulled up in front of the villa.Caroline Hill stepped out of the car, dressed in a sharp suit, still speaking on the phone.“Are the gifts I arranged all ready?” she asked.“They’re ready, Miss Hill,” came the voice on the other end.Caroline gave a soft hum of acknowledgment. “Good, I know now. You’ve all worked hard—go home and rest early. Take half a day off tomorrow.”“Thank you, Miss Hill! Thank you!”Gratitude poured through the phone before she ended the call. After returning to the villa, Caroline was about to enter Anthony’s room. But just as her hand touched the doorknob, she paused, turned around, and entered another room. She wanted to shower—and remembered all her clothes were in her own room.To be closer to Anthony, she had moved into the villa next to his. After a soothing shower, Caroline slipped into a silk nightgown and walked straight to Anthony’s door. Without hesitation, she pushed it open. She didn’t turn on the light. She didn’t need to

At that moment, in the rooftop restaurant, Serena Phillips and Anthony sat across from each other.“Mr. Jones, I’m truly sorry for the interruption earlier.” She knew full well what Anthony was capable of— He had taken down the Western King and wasn’t afraid to kill a young master of the Wilson family. Even Arthur Lawrence couldn’t compare to that kind of strength.Yet, she still felt uneasy. Because Arthur Lawrence’s identity was anything but ordinary.Anthony shook his head. “It’s fine. But… what exactly did you say to him just now?”He was genuinely curious. He had noticed that after Serena whispered something to Arthur, the guy’s expression had shifted—he looked at Anthony like he wanted to devour him.“N-Nothing important!” Serena replied quickly, then added, “Mr. Jones, let’s not worry about him. Come on, let’s eat.”Since she clearly didn’t want to talk about it, Anthony didn’t press. Dinner continued until after nine o’clock that evening.Just as the meal ended, Serena
