Ria’s words served as warning bells to Chris’ head and he felt like his world was crumbling. If Reid had gone to testify and Jose was dead, Chris knew he would definitely be implicated.

His eyes dimmed, as he wondered if he was the one who had pushed Jose off the building. But then he was quite sure that he didn't push Jose that hard. However, the thought of him being responsible for Jose’s death couldn't stop ringing in his mind.

What if Reid had gone to the police to implicate him?

Chris sat on the bed, his hands holding onto his head as he buried them in between his legs. On the other hand, Ria stood up and started to approach the door.

“Where are you going?” Chris asked with a frown.

“Your father is here. My brother informed him of what was going on…” Ria’s words were like another blow to Chris.

He recalled how the butler had asked him not to cause any trouble or scandal. His father was on a trip and it seemed it was crucial to the Westminster family.
