Sierra narrowed her eyes slightly, watching the group without saying a word.

One of the guys — the one with the messy hair and silver ring-studded fingers — leaned back in his seat, puffing out a cloud of smoke that drifted lazily above his head.

He looked around with a lazy smirk, then raised his voice just enough to be heard across the quiet tension in the room.

“Waiter — or waitress, whatever…”

He exhaled smoke slowly through his nose.

“Bring us our usual dish.”

The words landed with weight.

A few nearby diners paused mid-bite, and even a passing waiter hesitated briefly before nodding quickly and scurrying off toward the kitchen.

Betty raised a brow.

“Did you hear that? Usual dish?” she whispered.

“You mean they come here often? Acting like this?”

Sierra’s gaze remained fixed on them, brows slightly drawn.

“Apparently,” she said quietly, voice low.

“And clearly… no one’s been able to put them in their place.”

The men laughed among themselves again, as if they owned the entire sect

Damian smirked bitterly. “He planned everything with that Laura girl. They set a hidden camera, recorded everything—your precious lover’s downfall was orchestrated by the man you treated like dirt.”Her breath caught. Rage surged through her. “That bastard,” she hissed. “No wonder he knew about my job… everything.” Her hands trembled. “Then we should work together. You and I—let’s take him down. Let’s finish Elijah. We can do it—”Damian didn’t let her finish.“Get out of my sight,” he snapped with venom. “You really think I’d work with you again? A shameless slut who’d sell herself for a few bills? You don’t deserve my attention, let alone my help.”His words slapped harder than his palm ever could. Sophia’s face twisted with shame, anger, and wounded pride. For a brief moment, she looked down—but then she snapped. With her voice laced in fury, she snarled, “You know what? To hell with you, Damian! You think you're so righteous now? Look at you—washed up, bitter, and alone. You were

For a second, they both stood frozen in place, eyes wide, disbelief painted across their faces.Sophia blinked hard and rubbed her eyes slightly, as if trying to clear away an illusion. Her heart skipped. Was she dreaming? How was Damian here, out in the open, seated and eating casually like he hadn’t been locked up for the past week? But… wasn’t he supposed to be in cells? she thought, her pulse racing. I thought he was still in custody… how… when did he come out?She stared at him again, her eyes narrowing slightly now. Damian was very real, seated across the restaurant with a man in a suit—probably a lawyer. Her mind started spinning in circles. Was he bailed? Was he released without her knowing? How? Who helped him? And how long has he been out?Sophia’s lips parted in disbelief as she slowly took a step forward, still trying to process it all. Damian’s cold eyes never left her. Sophia slowly stepped forward, her voice soft and cautious as she approached Damian’s table."Damian?

Elijah nodded slowly, his eyes still fixed on the gate where Sophia had driven out.“I understand,” he said calmly. “I just don’t want that lady anywhere near you… or Felix. She has bad intentions and could hurt anyone just to get what she wants.”Sierra stepped forward quietly and wrapped her arms around him, resting her head gently on his chest.“I understand you,” she whispered. “I’m really sorry again.”Elijah smiled lightly, resting his hand on her back for a brief moment.“It’s fine,” he murmured. “Now go on. You’ll be late for lecture.”“You’re right, you’re right,” Sierra chuckled softly, pulling away. She walked to her car and got in, waving once before she pulled out of the compound.Elijah watched until her car disappeared down the road, then turned back to the task at hand. He picked up the hosepipe once more, turned the tap, and resumed spraying down the cars.Outside the police station, under the harsh glare of the morning sun, stood a man in a slightly wrinkled suit—his

Elijah’s expression didn’t soften. His eyes held nothing but cold disinterest as he took a single step closer. “What’s your business?” he asked sharply. “Why do you care whether I own this place or not?”Sophia blinked, caught off guard by his harsh tone. “Calm down,” she said softly, her voice dipping into a pleading rhythm. “Why are you being so harsh, Elijah? I’m just as surprised as you are. Are you… still mad at me?”Elijah sneered. “Mad?” He gave a short, mocking laugh. “No. I just don’t want to see you in my house. You understand that? I guess things are going downhill for you, so now you want to act all sweet for favors, right?” He tilted his head with a cruel smirk. “Oh, let me guess—job gone. Damian’s in a cell. House? Evicted. Oh my…” He burst into a sarcastic, hearty laugh. “Life’s really dealing with you now.”Sophia’s smile vanished. Her lips parted slightly in shock. “Wait… how did you know about my job and… Damian?” Her voice trembled slightly.Felix, standing off to

On the compound of the estate, Elijah stood in a white singlet and dark joggers, holding a pipe hose as he sprayed water over the two cars parked in front—thePrado and the BMW. Just then, the front door opened and Sierra stepped out onto the compound. She was dressed simply—a light blue tee tucked into black high-waist jeans with flat sandals. A small crossbody bag hung at her side. Her hair was packed up into a neat bun, and she had that calm, radiant look that always seemed to follow her.Elijah noticed her and immediately turned off the tap, coiling the hose back. He walked toward her, wiping his wet hands on a nearby cloth. “Ready? You leaving now?” he asked, scanning her outfit.Sierra nodded with a soft smile. “Yes. Please grab a meal when you’re done. I prepared something.”Elijah gave a nod. “Alright.” As she adjusted her bag strap, he reached forward and gently fixed the collar of her shirt, straightening it with care.“Thank you,” Sierra said with a small laugh, appreciativ

“This is Sophia. We met a few days ago at the hotel that night, remember?” her voice came softly through the speaker.Felix, still half-asleep, furrowed his brows. The voice was familiar, but groggy as he was, he couldn't place it instantly.“Hello? Who’s this again?” he asked, his tone still waking up.“Sophia,” she repeated, more clearly this time. “The night at the hotel…We talked. I even—”She paused, letting it linger in the air.Felix’s eyes widened a bit as the memory rushed in—her perfume, her boldness, the way she kissed him.“Oh… yeah, yeah. Sophia.” He cleared his throat, sitting up. “Wasn’t expecting a call from you though. What’s good?”Sophia let out a weary sigh. “I’m good… I mean, not really. I’ve run into a bit of a situation and I was hoping you could help.”Felix sat still, his attention now fully caught. “Help? What’s up? Let me know.”Sophia hesitated briefly before speaking. “So… the house I was renting got sold out suddenly. The new owner came and threw me out.
