The men around the table looked at each other, surprised by Daniel’s intensity.

“Boss… it should be easy for you to get her, right?” one of them said, shrugging. “Just show her who you are. Your name, your money—any girl would fall for that.”

Another nodded. “Exactly. You’re Daniel Everhart. Flash that account balance, drive up in that Benz, and she’s yours.”

Daniel let out a cold chuckle, but it didn’t reach his eyes.

“Bullshit,” he said, lifting his glass and swirling the wine slowly. “She’s in the same school as I am. She knows everything about me. My name, my family, my money… all of it.”

He took a sharp sip, jaw clenched.

“I’ve spent over thirty thousand dollars—just on her livestreams. Donations. Gifting. Boosting her visibility.” His voice was low, bitter. “And she still doesn’t even want to look my way.”

He stared down at the glass.

“I swear, I’m so angry. But that’s what makes me want her more.”

Zane’s face twisted in offense. But Elijah wasn’t done.“If you want to act like a clown, go use your estate roads where no one’s passing. Or better yet…” — Elijah gestured sharply — “find a park. A racetrack. Anywhere else. But not here. Not on a public road.”The crowd stirred slightly, murmurs rising.Zane’s face twisted with pure offense and disbelief, his voice rising.“Do you know who I am?!” he barked, pointing sharply at Elijah. “How dare you talk to me that way?!”Elijah didn’t move an inch. His eyes remained calm, unreadable. Then, with the most composed tone imaginable, he replied,“Have you lost your memory? Why must I know who you are when you can’t even remember yourself?”The crowd gasped quietly.Zane’s jaw tightened. His posture stiffened. He couldn’t believe the level of disrespect. This man wasn’t just ignoring him — he didn’t even care.“You dare cross me, Zane Halden?” he growled, stepping forward. “Young master of the Halden family?! How dare you—”He jabbed a fi

Elijah stared at her for a moment, then let out a quiet chuckle, the sound deep and soft.He looked into her eyes, his hand rising to gently pull her cheeks together, cradling her face with affection.“Not now,” he said with a grin, shaking his head.“The right time will come… and when it does, we’ll make love so well, it’ll be unforgettable.”Sierra smiled shyly beneath him and nodded.Sophia Bennett stood near the entrance of the garage, arms folded tightly over her chest. The sun beat down gently, but her expression was clouded with visible frustration. Her eyes followed one of the mechanics as he slowly drove her recently repaired car to the pickup point. The moment the vehicle stopped, she walked over and examined it quickly, giving a nod of approval — but there was no satisfaction on her face.“Here’s your key, ma’am,” the attendant said politely.“Thanks,” she replied flatly, grabbing it and sliding into the driver’s seat.As she sat there behind the wheel, her hands resting on

Elijah stared at her, jaw clenched, then shook his head slowly.“No.”Without another word, he got up, his movements fluid, and lay back on the bed. Still holding her wrist, he gently pulled her with him, guiding her on top of him. His hand slid around her waist again, the other resting at the back of her thigh as she now sat on him, caught between confusion and restraint. His eyes never left hers as his hands trailed along her side, his touch slow but unfiltered.“Is this what you hate?” Elijah asked, his voice quiet but loaded, raw.Elijah lay back on the bed, his grip on Sierra never loosening as he gently pulled her atop him. She straddled him, tense and conflicted, her eyes flashing with uncertainty and confusion. His hands moved to her waist, fingers resting there firmly, and he looked up at her, his gaze piercing.“Answer me, Sierra,” he said, his voice low, steady.“Do you love being touched by anyone else apart from me?”She said nothing, her breathing shallow, lips pressed i

Meanwhile…Inside her private office, Cordelia Celestine Valencia sat alone, a half-filled glass of red wine in her hand. Her posture was relaxed — legs crossed, back reclined slightly in the elegant leather chair — but her eyes were distant, unfocused. She took a slow sip from her glass, then placed it down softly on the coaster beside her. A sigh escaped her lips as she leaned forward, resting her elbows on the polished desk. For the first time in a long time, she allowed herself to think deeply about something she had tried to avoid:Her father. Without hesitation, Celestine reached for her phone. She unlocked it, scrolled through her contacts, and tapped the name. She brought the phone to her ear, her fingers lightly tapping the desk as it began to ring.At that moment, Marcellus Valencia was seated comfortably in the back of a black Mercedes, dressed impeccably in a dark suit, crisp white shirt, and a maroon tie. His signature gold cufflinks shimmered slightly with every turn of

Sierra’s eyes widened slightly as she turned her head, avoiding his gaze. She was biting her lip to fight back a smile, but the blush rising in her cheeks betrayed her completely.“I didn’t know it would turn see-through,” she mumbled, half-heartedly pulling at the floating crochet top.Elijah circled her like a lazy current, his voice a low hum.“Don’t worry,” he said, “I’m not complaining. I just think you’re trying too hard not to be obvious.”Sierra splashed water in his direction suddenly, her shy grin breaking through.“Stop,” she said, laughing. “I’m not being obvious.”“Oh, trust me,” Elijah said, brushing his wet hair back, “you’re the kind of obvious that makes a man rethink his self-control.”Sierra let out another soft laugh, swimming backwards to put some space between them. She was flustered — clearly — but also glowing. And no matter how hard she tried to play innocent, Elijah could see through it all.She liked the attention. She just didn’t want to admit it.Elijah gl
