Elijah set the drink and glasses carefully on a nearby poolside table, then pulled off his white singlet in one smooth motion, revealing his lean, well-built frame. Without hesitation, he stepped down into the pool, the warm water rising quickly to his waist as he walked toward her.

Sierra, already smiling, giggled as he got closer.

Without warning, she scooped a splash of water and tossed it playfully at him, the droplets hitting his chest and face.

“Ahh… okay, that’s how we’re doing it?” Elijah said with a smirk, wiping his face as he approached her.

She laughed again, her eyes sparkling. “You’re slow, old man!”

He lunged gently toward her, sending a wave her way, and she shrieked before swimming off a few strokes ahead.

They both moved freely through the pool, lighthearted splashes and soft laughter bouncing off the water’s surface.

“**But listen carefully—no foolishness. Do not enter the estate to cause chaos or make a scene. Station yourselves from a distance, watch and wait. The moment he leaves the estate… you grab him and bring him directly to me.”His voice dropped colder.“And you, Richard… you will go with them. I don’t want any stories. I don’t want excuses. I want him standing before me.”Richard immediately bowed deeply, voice apologetic.“Yes sir… I understand, sir. Forgive me for earlier… it won’t happen again.”Ezekiel’s hard stare lingered for a moment before he waved his hand dismissively.“Get it done.”Richard quickly backed away, nodding in full submission before retreating from the dining hall.Elijah stepped out of the quiet living room, the soft hum of the television fading behind him as he made his way to the balcony, seeking some fresh air. The cool evening breeze brushed against his face as he casually scrolled through his phone, glancing through a few unread messages. But as his eyes dri

At the same time, Elijah, Felix, and Sierra were comfortably settled in the living room, Sierra’s head rested on Elijah’s lap, her body relaxed, curled slightly against the plush couch as the late-night news continued rolling.Felix sat nearby on the adjacent couch, phone in hand but eyes occasionally drifting toward the television.Suddenly, the news anchor’s tone shifted.“In our top story tonight, fresh footage continues to circulate on social media from this morning’s brutal incident at the compound of underworld figure Phantom Reiss, where members of the notorious Vorn Dogs gang were massacred after allegedly trying to take control of New Ember City’s underworld…”The screen switched to brief clips from the viral video, showing Phantom standing in the middle of bodies, issuing his bold warnings to other gangs.Sierra blinked at the screen, frowning slightly, then sighed.“This Phantom is… ruthless,” she muttered, shaking her head lightly.“Look at how he just… killed people lik

Kaizer leaned forward, resting his thick arms on his knees, the weight of his gold rings glinting under the dim light.“It’s simple,” he said slowly, eyes fixed on her. “I want you to entertain me… that’s where we start.”Sophia’s smile wavered, her brow furrowing slightly in confusion.“Entertain… you?” she asked cautiously.Kaizer scoffed, his grin dropping as he gave her a hard stare.“Don’t act like you don’t understand what I’m talking about.”“You will entertain me… in the bedroom. That’s your first assignment. You want money? You want to live plush? It starts there. How about it?”Sophia’s expression shifted, discomfort flashing in her eyes. She sat straighter, crossing her arms slightly in defense.“I… I can’t do that,” she said, shaking her head. Her voice held firm. “Not like this… not in that way.”Kaizer’s face darkened immediately, his jaw tightening. With a sharp movement, he spat off to the side, his tone laced with irritation.“Are you here to joke with me, girl?” he s

Entering the glowing room, Sophia’s heels clicked softly as her eyes continued to roam. Her attention quickly locked onto a dominant figure seated near the center of the hall—a man whose presence practically swallowed the space around him.He appeared to be in his early sixties, dark-skinned, his head cleanly bald, a thick gold necklace gleaming around his thick neck, glinting under the low lights. A fat diamond ring rested on his pinky finger, and a cigar burned slowly between his fingers, wisps of smoke curling lazily upward.Around him, two young women dressed provocatively were perched on his lap, one running her hands across his chest, the other whispering into his ear while giggling, tracing kisses along his jawline. The manager beside Sophia straightened, respectfully nodding at the man.At just a wave of the older man’s hand, the two women stood up quickly and walked away, their smiles dropping as they disappeared into the crowd. The older man’s eyes, heavy and sharp, shifted

Sophia arched a brow, adjusting her handbag slightly, irritation flickering across her face.“I was invited,” she said calmly. “By someone important.”The second guard shook his head, unimpressed.“Doesn’t matter. Orders from the top. Invite or not, no luxury car… no direct entrance.”Sophia clenched her jaw slightly, exhaled sharply, then pulled out her phone and quickly tapped out a message to her manager.“At the entrance. They’re stopping me because of the car situation.”Within seconds, her phone vibrated with a reply.“Don’t move. I’m coming out to get you.”Sophia slipped her phone back into her clutch, her expression smoothing out. Sophia stepped gracefully out of the car, keeping her composure despite the irritation simmering beneath her flawless smile. She adjusted her clutch and spoke to the guards, her tone polite but firm.“Please… my contact said he’s coming out himself to get me. Just give me a moment.”The guards remained stone-faced, one of them jerking his chin towa

Elijah gave a calm nod, strolling forward and taking a seat comfortably in one of the leather chairs opposite the desk.“No need to announce it, Superintendent,” Elijah replied smoothly.“I was nearby… just decided to pass through and see the renovation work myself.”Dorson smiled tightly, settling back into his chair, hands folding neatly on his desk.“Well… you’ve certainly given us a new face around here, sir,” he said.“And the timing couldn’t have been better.”Elijah nodded lightly, resting one arm casually on the armrest of the chair, his fingers drumming softly on the polished wood.“I guess you’ve seen the news… about Phantom Reiss. What happened earlier today, right?”Dorson’s expression tightened, a more serious weight settling over his features. He nodded, his voice low but steady.“Yes… I did, Mr. Westbrook. Every station in the city has. The whole city’s buzzing about it.”Elijah leaned forward slightly, his tone calm but probing.“Good. Then tell me, Superintendent… wha
