The guard crossed his arms and explained firmly, "To dine here, you need proof of financial status. At least a $100,000 inflow into your account for the past three months. Additionally, the card grants access to this area—it’s issued only to members who meet this criterion. And, of course, we strictly monitor who can bring guests. This ensures the privacy and quality of the experience for our patrons.”

Elijah, slightly taken aback, nodded slowly, absorbing the information. "I see," he murmured, his curiosity now piqued even more. Although he didn't know Carmen's had such rule he felt it was not bad for such top tier place.

Elijah smirked at the explanation and asked, "How can I get this card then?"

The security guard, still holding his firm stance, replied, "You just need to provide proof of financial eligibility. A transaction history showing an inflow of at least $100,000 for the past three months is sufficient.”

Elijah’s smirk widened. "That’s not a problem," he said confidently.

A man from another table — one of the rival gangs — rose sharply, his chair scraping against the concrete. He smirked, glancing toward the Black Fang side.“Nice speech,” he said, his tone dripping with sarcasm. “But don’t act like the Black Fang are the only ones holding this city together.”He stepped forward slightly, his men straightening behind him. “Our gang runs the main routes through Iron Vale. Every shipment, every deal, every coin passes through our hands. While others hide behind shadows, our master stands in the open — feared and respected by all.”His voice grew louder, filled with pride. “If there’s anyone fit to lead the underworld, it’s him. He doesn’t just rule a corner — he controls the flow of business across the city. Without him, half of you wouldn’t even eat.”He crossed his arms, giving the room a confident look. “So before you start talking about leadership, remember — power isn’t about fear. It’s about control. And no one controls more than us.”The room erup

Meanwhile, back at home, the air was heavy with silence. Shadow sat by the window, his sharp eyes fixed on the dark street outside. The clock on the wall ticked softly — it had been over an hour since Elijah left for the Halden estate, and still, there was no sign of him.Jessica, restless and anxious, paced the room before finally turning toward Phantom, who sat with his arms crossed and an unreadable expression. “Uncle Phantom,” she said quietly, her voice laced with worry, “do you still believe he’s alive? Has the Halden family not finished him already?”Phantom looked up at her, his face half hidden in shadow. He exhaled slowly, then shook his head. “I don’t think so,” he said, his tone calm and certain. “Elijah is strong — and smart. He’ll find a way out of anything. The Haldens don’t know who they’re dealing with.”Shadow turned from the window, one brow raised. “Does the word strong even work in front of the Haldens?” he asked, half-skeptical, half-curious. “They’re not just s

Edmund’s gaze hardened as he studied Elijah, still trying to comprehend how a young man had effortlessly humiliated his family. He took a slow step forward, hands clasped behind his back, voice deep and steady.“Who are you?” he asked coldly.Elijah turned his head, eyes wandering over the wide compound positioned by the pillars. His tone was calm, almost bored.“Me?” he said, with a faint, wry smile. “I’m no one.”.The bluntness of the reply made a few of the guards exchange uncertain looks. Edmund’s brow creased. “You have some remarkable skills for your age,” he admitted reluctantly. “It’s… impressive. If you want the Halden family to spare you for what you’ve done here, then consider joining us as one of our guards. You’ll have everything you need — a generous salary, housing, influence. What do you say?”A quiet tension filled the air. Everyone waited for Elijah’s answer, expecting gratitude, or at least respect.Instead, Elijah began to chuckle — softly at first, then louder, u

“If I keep on, I’ll keep beating everyone you bring. Let this go — you’re not my match. The entire Halden family can’t stand me,” Elijah said boldly.Everyone frowned. The air went cold. Edmund’s face hardened. “How dare you?” he snapped. “The entire martial Halden family can’t stand you? You’ve got skills, yes — but will those skills work on my grandchildren and the others?” He looked at Lucian. “Beat him.”Lucian charged hard, face red with rage. He moved fast and wild, a flurry of punches and kicks aimed at Elijah.Elijah did not strike back. He only watched. Each blow Lucian threw met a calm block. Elijah’s arms moved like a wall. He caught a kick, shrugged it off. He parried a punch and stepped aside. Lucian’s speed burned his breath, but Elijah stayed steady. The crowd watched in stunned silence. Lucian’s attacks grew faster, more desperate. Sweat ran down his brow. His legs trembled.Elijah only laughed, calm and small. “Bring someone stronger,” he said, almost teasing.Lucian’
