"I have to say, you've been a sneaky little rat, hiding perfectly all this time.

But as they always say, 99 days for the thief and one day for the owner. Your body should have some good old cash!" Their vicious laughter filled the air.

Ethan was struck to the floor, and laughter cracked through the arena. Everyone passed by like nothing was happening. No one was going to risk their lives for a peasant.

"You can't do this. The agreement doesn't say I'm overdue yet!" Ethan protested.

Liege stepped forward, slamming Ethan's hands as pain erupted through the whole of his body.

"Sadly, we make the rules here and not you. And we can wait for you to get a shitty little life together and give us our money. We want it now.

Besides, getting rid of trash like you would be doing the world a big favour. One less bulldog taking up the space real humans should be!"

Ethan tried to break free from their circle. Run away. But he was surrounded from every side and outnumbered.

Ethan crashed backwards, he struggled and tried to break from their grip, but he was firmly outnumbered.

"Give up homeless dog. You should start correcting your last words cause soon enough, you will be saying hello to the devil in hell!"

Ethan spat on his face.

"At least I won't get to see this ugly face of yours anymore!"

Liege's face twisted with rage. He has never had anyone treat him in such a manner before, let alone a little peasant like Ethan.

"You just signed up for a more painful death!" Liege turned around to the men and ordered.

"I want to hear every bone in his body breaking. And if I am not satisfied, I am going to show you how it's done, using your bones as the proper specimen!" He jerked.

The men bowed and thundered at Ethan. Their weapons were ready to tear him into tiny bits, but then, they stopped.

An SUV that just stormed into the arena captured their glances. Sleek and intimidating. It was unlike anything that they had seen before and they were caught in awe.

A lady stepped down from the car. Her glass-like skin reflected the perfect glow of the sun and her steps blended with the wind.

Liege smiles briefly. The lady had definitely come to see him.

Her aura pierced through the air, rendering everyone almost breathless. And for a brief moment, all the men around were so lost in their individual fantasies that they could barely remember that they had someone like Ethan to deal with.

"What do you want here princess!" Liege rolled his lips with pleasure as the images of the lost filled his head.

He trained to touch her but a towering figure. Broad like a bouncer and demising shook his hands off.

Everyone had been so focused on the lady who had just walked into the place that they had not seen the guardian who also walked in with her.

"No one touches me without my permission;"

She brushed past all of them and walked over to Ethan. His pain ridden body trying to comprehend everything that was happening as she bowed before him and chanted.

"Young master! I'm sorry I'm late!" She apologized with multiple bows.

Confusion cuts deep into Ethan like a knife.

"Young master?" Liege gathered his shattered pride together and let out a vicious laughter.

"You must have gotten the wrong person, princess. The only thing this man is mastering is debts and he is as good as dead already. Maybe the worthless stuff inside him might just be enough to repay his debts."

Eva frowned deeply. "You've done enough harm already. Now I would enjoy leaving the young man alone if you intend to leave!" The thunderous sound of the Lady's voice betrayed her calm and soothing looks. She was as fierce as an army general.

"Just as hot as you look. You will be perfect to warm my bed today.

As for the little flea. He is dead already , sadly." He responded.

However, she was unmoved.

"You don't know who you are messing with." Eva's words came with her glare and a suppressing aura.

Leige grin faltered the anger in her voice was unmistakable and he didn't like the over-confidence.. He frowned deeply, the angry lines cutting through every inch of his face.

"Who do you think you are?" He growled.

"You would be dead already before you find out!" Eva replied with a flat dead tone.

Liege roared. That was the second threat he was receiving today and he didn't take threats lightly.

"Seems you need to be taught to dance!" He signaled to the men instantly, they all attacked the lady with a loud yell.

The bouncer stepped forward. He stared down at them like little children. Checking each of them in their steps and throwing them off in the room like little play toys.

Liege growled, seeing all his men rolling off in pain.

"Pathetic pieces of crap. Don't think that I am done with you!" He brought his phone out of his pocket and placed a call.

Within the duration of seconds, motorbikes, cars stepped in, far beyond what Liehe thought.

A smug was strapped to his face.

"This is your last chance to beg for mercy on your knees. Licking my feet alongside might just have gone a long way to soften my heart a bit!"

However, he was ignored by the lady. Instead, her eyes were focused on the gray-haired man who had walked in together with the rest of the guards.

Liege's smugness broadened almost instantly. The owner of the Mafia companies, and they served under him. Seeing how well he did, he might just end up being promoted.

Mr. Gereald walked up to Leige would quickly braced himself for the welcome.

Rather, a slap resounded through the hall, shocking pale into Leige's face. "You bastard!" Gerald growled.

"I will make sure I make you pay for this!" He thundered.

Immediately, he ran off to the lady and knelt. "Miss Eva, please forgive me for my insolence. I didn't train him that way!" He pleaded.

Leige's face instantly shot up, Miss Eva? The hidden secretary to the most powerful family in the city. A family that controlled over half of the country's wealth.

It was like a sword had been thrust right through his chest and he almost passed out.

Ethan was double-crossed by the beautiful female firefighter who spread her arms wide while looking him in the face. Her lovely silver hair cascaded from her yellow helmet, and her yellow eyes looked Ethan in the face while she wondered what he was up to. “You cannot go in there, Sir!” She repeated, and when Ethan attempted to push forward, she was forced to push him backward with both hands while looking him in the eyes. “It’s too dangerous, Sir! You could die!” She pointed out that, and when she still saw that Ethan was never going to give up, she turned to some of her colleagues for help, her face strained with both weakness and uncertainty. Sure enough, two male firefighters approached as soon as they saw her hand gesture, staring at Ethan from a distance. “Mr. Ethan!” Said one of them as soon as he recognized Ethan, his weak tone still able to reflect a little respect. “I know that this is a lot to take in, but you cannot go in there, Sir! It’s too risky!” The man explained

You have to hurry to this place!” Eva repeated, her voice getting more intense than it was.“I am on my way!” Ethan ended the call in a hurry, but just when he was about to turn and leave, Emma blocked him, standing behind him the whole time.“W

CHAPTER HUNDRED AND FIFTY-FOUR “Please, Ethan. Just let him go.” Michael insisted, his eyes wide with nervousness. “Quinton can be very dangerous. Just let him go. Don’t kill him.” Ethan grunted, his eyes glaring at his father. “Are you afraid of one man?” He asked, and then he slowly let go of his previous expression, replacing it with a smirk while he waited for a response. Michael took a deep breath, and then he turned to the man who was at his son’s mercy. After a quick stare at him, he returned his gaze to Ethan, still pleading with his eyes. “I just think we have had enough trouble to last us for a very long time, Ethan. For your sister's sake, just let him go. I beg you…” He had tears in his eyes, almost seeming like he was a weakling. But that was not the feeling that Ethan had about him. He could only see a father who was concerned about the safety of his daughter, and that was enough to make him heed to his demand. Ethan took a deep breath, turning to the l

CHAPTER HUNDRED AND FIFTY-THREE Michael gasped when he saw that Ethan was already on his way to deal with the three men.“Come back, Ethan!” He called out, but that didn’t seem like it was enough to make Ethan turn around. When he turned to Larry, he saw that he didn’t have the same flustered look as he did, but that didn’t seem like what was more important at that moment. “My son…” Michael muttered, returning his gaze to Ethan who was already standing too close to the men, glaring at them. Their leader stepped forward, but he was still standing behind, his eyes glaring with hatred. “You really have a death wish.” He snorted at Ethan, but even with his eyes glaring with disdain and a promise of retaliation, Ethan refused to flinch, staring with a smirk all over his face. Ethan held onto his wry smile, turning from one man to the other. “You guys have just one last chance to leave this place. Go back to your boss and tell him that I said he will get his money soon,” He stared at

Michael swallowed hard, and at that moment, it seemed like he was not going to be able to protect his daughter, and that made him very worried. The three men were beginning to get closer, and it didn’t seem like they were wary of Ethan even though his aura was all over the place, thickening in the air. “Where do you think you are going?” Ethan grunted, pushing the leader backward just when he was about to walk past him. This infuriated his cohorts, but seeing that Ethan was not intimidated by their number, they remained still, glaring and fuming in a rage. “Don’t you dare go anywhere close to my sister!” Ethan warned, pointing from one man to the other. He ended his stare with the leader of the gang, and even though he could see that he was pissed that he had embarrassed him in front of his subordinates, he didn’t budge. “I don’t know who your boss is, but tell him that he will have his money soon.” Ethan’s voice was as polite as it could be at that moment, but it seemed as thou

CHAPTER HUNDRED AND FIFTY-ONE “That’s not gonna happen!” The leader snapped before he could say any other word, glaring at him. “My boss has given you enough time. Now he wants his money or you two will be coming with us!” He gnashed his teeth again, pointing Michael in the face. “You had all the time in the world, but you failed to use it. I can see that you are better now, which means the money he gave you was very useful to your poor health.” Silence took over at once, yet it seemed as though the three men were still speaking, revealing the anger and impatience that was still simmering through their veins. “Pay up or you are coming with us!” Their leader thundered when everyone least expected it, causing Michael and his brother to swallow hard almost simultaneously. “This is all Reese’s fault,” Larry muttered, turning to face Michael who agreed even though he didn’t react with his mouth. His eyes were enough to express his feelings. Again, Larry turned to the leader of
