"I told you he was nothing more than a thief and a leech." Florence yelled at the top of her voice.
"If you would have listened, you wouldn't be this hurt now. Mr Donald is interested in you and even volunteered to help you get a contract with Starkcom, if I were you, I would have accepted.
William is really handsome but in a world where Money and Magic rules, William is nothing."
Florence didn't stop badmouthing William ever since they left that room. Right from day 1, she had always disliked William for being a pretty boy with no money and power.
She always suspected that he there to steal her money and he has already done it. She felt pity for her friend.
Clarissa didn't reply Florence, no matter what others say, she believes William wouldn't do such a thing, if he needed to amount of money, he would tell her about it.
"Well, since you don't want to talk about that failure of a husband, how about we talk about the contract."
Clarissa still didn't reply so Florence snatched the documents from her hand and took a glimpse of its content, revealing a shocked expression.
"They want you to make the deal with Starkcom hotel? Wow, I heard it is headed by a top class beauty called Clarion who is from a wealthy family and she is had to mingle with.
She gives everyone the cold attitude and only those with great influence can strike a simple conversation with her.
Clarissa, the only person who can help you with this now is Donald."
Donald was from a wealthy family, his father is a Grandmaster Elite Mage and his family also has a trade that makes much profit to put them in the top business in Astoria. Donald alone has a net worth of half a billion even though he is young.
"I don't need his help and I need to actually strike a deal, if they don't accept I'll gladly leave the Storm family and start up my business else where."
"Don't talk like that Clarissa, just forget about William for a second and think of the greater good. The only thing William has that is more than Donald's is his handsome face.
And I know you are not a woman that falls in love base on looks."
While both of them were speaking, Rosie walked in.
She looked at Clarissa her daughter and sighed angrily. "Clarissa, I heard that you stupid husband has stolen from our family!
Now I would have to take all the shame for being the mother-in-law of a thief."
"He didn't steal any money." Clarissa defended.
"Oh, you want to play the defending wife role? How about you tell me where he went with the money, according to Charles, he only said he needed the money for something important and didn't even tell them what it is."
"It could be that he actually needed the money for something important." Clarissa defended again. William wasn't a thief, it pains her hearing others calling him one.
"Anyway, I heard you rejected Donald proposal, I knew you weren't thinking right so I talk things out with him and he has agreed to help you.
He would use his connection to let Clarion speak give you an audience, the rest of it lies on your shoulder."
Clarissa eyes widened, she didn't want that man to help her.
"Don't ask me why? I don't want you to bring shame to me so I am preventing it at all cost." Rosie reprimanded and stormed out of the room.
Florence had a satisfying smile on her face, Mrs Rosie has done what she wanted to do and wasn't able to.
DING!
Florence phone vibrated as a notification arrived, she whipped out her phone.
"A big shot has just invested 100 million in Starkcom hotel!" She announced.
"Starkcom hotel?" Clarissa was curious.
"One Mr Windson, he bought 50% of Starkcom hotel, now he literally owns the hotel, if you could build a relationship with such a person, you wouldn't have to worry about Clarion.
He must be very young too, and probably handsome, if things go right, and you two marries your Storm family will benefit greatly from your marriage with him."
Windson is William's surname, however Clarissa didn't even think of that at all as it was impossible for William to accomplish such a feat.
That doesn't mean she looks down on him but she only judges based off what she knew.
He even borrowed one hundred thousand from the family, therefore, it would most likely not be William.
Anyway, if she was friends with this Windsor, it would benefit her a lot but she wasn't the type that believes in building a business based on relationship with big shots.
....
In the business circle, the name Windsor quickly became the most talked about.
Who was this big shot that invested such huge amount?
What family is he from?
Why haven't they heard about him until now?
Is he married? If not, they would easily build a relationship with him to lift up the position of their family.
While all these talks revolves around, William sat in Clarion's office, enjoying the chaos he caused online.
"Mr William, you also want to invest in other Starkcom companies?"
"Yeah, as many as possible. If it possible I would like to buy the main Starkcom share."
"Mr William, 1% of the main Starkcom share is around 2 billion."
"Not a problem."
Clarion has never been this confused throughout her life. Who was this Mr William and why has no one heard about him yet?
Two billion is not even a problem for him, does that mean he is from a royal family?
"Anyways apart from that, I want to know the place where the most expensive gifts are sold."
"Oh, you want to buy gifts."
"Yeah, for my wife to be precise." William smiled.
"Oh you are married?" Her voice sounded a little sad.
"Yeah, and my marriage anniversary is coming up, I want to surprise my wife with a gift, since you are Lady you would know what of gift a fellow lady would like."
Clarion smiled lightly, she didn't expect William would actually be married already.
"I would be very busy today and tomorrow, However, my secretary would accompany you, she is also married therefore she would know more about that."
"Great, I'll be stealing your secretary for a while." William smiled at her.
Clarion smiled back but in her heart, she was trying to solve the mystery about this man.

The world had changed, but it was slowly mending. The scars left by the apocalypse were deep, and the memories of those harrowing days would never truly fade, but humanity was resilient. Two weeks had passed since the hunters had emerged victorious from the Death Tower, and in that short time, the earth had already begun to heal. The sky was a clear blue, the clouds soft and white, drifting peacefully above a world that had been plunged into darkness for so long. Birds, absent during the apocalypse, had returned, their songs filling the air with a sense of normalcy that had been absent for far too long. The government, once crippled by the chaos, had reestablished itself. Leaders who had survived the ordeal stepped forward, determined to rebuild the world that had been nearly destroyed. They worked tirelessly, organizing effo

William stared at the figure before him, his mind racing as he tried to make sense of the twisted reflection standing just a few paces away. The smirk on the doppelganger's face was chilling, filled with an arrogance and darkness that William recognized but had never embraced himself. This was not just a reflection; it was something far more sinister. "Who are you?" William demanded, his voice steady, though the unease gnawed at him. "Why do you look like me?" The doppelganger tilted its head slightly, the smirk widening. "I am the Dark One," it said, its voice a distorted echo of William's own. "The force behind the apocalypse, the one who brought chaos and ruin to your world." William’s eyes widened in shock, and then narrowed in anger. "You... You’re the one who unleashed the zombies, who turned the world into a living nightmare?" His grip tightened on his sword, the blade beginning to glow faintly with the power of his blood magic. "Why? Why would you do something so monstrous?
