“Finn, no matter what other say, do your best on the entrance examination. Your entire future is riding on this.” Solian shouted as the aircraft shoots across the cloudy mid-day sky.
“I will give it my all.” Finn nodded. He was never one to give up in the face of taunts and threats. Thus, he won’t step back even if someone wants him to. “Make your parents proud!” Finn blinked his eyes in response and looked upwards to the endlessness, inwardly saying that he won’t disappoint them. The aircraft moved towards the busiest and the wildest place of the city—the central region. The Magician Academy, established by the Magician Association, was situated in the center of the Magehold City, on top of the Emerald Mountain that was made out of green stones. The aircraft carrying Solian and Finn took a few turns and dashed out of the sea of clouds before taking a deep plunge and descending at the bottom of the Magician Academy. “Just show the guard at the gate your identification card, and he’ll allow you to enter the academic grounds and direct you to the examination centers.” “I understand,” Finn said as he stepped out of the aircraft with his backpack. “Good luck!” Solian said as he watched him step towards the academy. Finn turned around, looked at him, and said, “Thanks for everything you’ve done for me.” “Just doing my job!” Solian replied with an amiable smile. “See ya later,” Finn said as he waved his hand at him. “Goodbye and take care,” Solian said before he went away to carry out his other duties. After splitting up with Solian, Finn approached the gates of the academy situated in the center of the summit of the rocky mountain. “It sure is huge, just like what I saw in the videos,” Finn said as he looked at the gate in front of him. The inky, black gate acting as the entrance of the compulsory academy for young magicians stretched around twenty meters across and split down the middle. Many youngsters around his age were waiting in line in front of the entrance of the academy, with three to five passing through the split in the middle every few seconds. “The entrance sure is packed with people today.” Seeing numerous people his age going to take the entrance examination didn’t come as a surprise to Finn. Everyone came here to participate in the entrance examination and enroll in the academy as there are not only many benefits of joining the Magician Academy but a person can only become a full-fledged Magician after graduating from here. “Let’s get in line and wait for my turn.” Finn joined this line, standing behind a group of youngsters dressed extravagantly in robes linen with golden and silver threads. He kept his presence small as he didn’t want to get sighted by his bullies, and he passed the time by listening to the words uttered by the people in his surroundings, taking in the chatter. “It shouldn’t take long for my turn to arrive.” A few minutes later, he passed through the split in the middle of the gate after showing the guard his ID and being told the location of the examination center. “I’m finally inside.” Then, he stepped on a curved stone pathway, walking in the center of a road surrounded by trees and flowers, and he entered one of the many examination centers after passing through a stone archway. The moment he entered the examination center, a few people turned to glance at him, only to look away in the very next second as they realized that it was the most pathetic existence in the magician community. However, Adrian Locke kept on looking at Finn with a scorching gaze and an expression of disbelief. The very first time he looked at him, there was nothing special about Finn. Instead, he was bound to die within a year as his eyes saw the black veil of death covering his body. Now, however, a golden layer encompassed every nook and corner of his body, albeit it was thinner than a sheet. Unbelievable! “What the hell happened to the fate of the weakest magician? Why is he covered in a thin layer of golden radiance? Shouldn’t he have no luck and fate? I’m sure he was surrounded by a dark aura, signifying that his life was going to end in a year. How did he manage to alter his fate and take a turn toward glory?” Simply inconceivable! Of course, this shocked Adrian Locke out of his wits. In his entire sixteen years of life, he has never seen a person covered in the black glow of death surviving for more than a year, yet Finn hasn’t only got rid of his fate of death but has also gained the aura of glory. It didn’t matter how thin the glow of glory around him was. What mattered in his eyes was that Finn did a thing that no one in the past had done. “Interesting,” Adrian said while looking at Finn, a smile stretching across his face. “There’s something mysterious about him for sure. I guess my time in the academy wouldn’t be as boring as I thought it was going to be.” Finn didn’t know that he has attracted the attention of the most powerful magician in this room. He just walked up to one of the empty seats and sat down on it in silence.Latest Chapter
Chapter 104
The onlookers could see dozens of teenage magicians duking it out on the arena, a scene far different, far less peaceful from when it was only Finn against Linda and her friends. Swords and daggers clashed with each other, and at the same time, explosions of fire and wind seared the air. Wind fueled the flame, making them reach the sky.The clouds above the emerald Mountain scattered, and even the dark skies got lit up by the flames.Finn, Adrian, and John stood in the center of the arena, patiently waiting for the number of the participants to dwindle. The golden hand above their heads protected them from the shockwaves of the battles being taken place in the arena.“Shouldn’t we be doing something?” John asked in a loud voice as the booming sounds of explosions, as well as the clanking sounds of swords clashing against spears, were coming from the surrounding areas and making it harder for one to hear words spoken out of another person’s mouth.Finn shook his head, an action he norm
Chapter 103
Finn felt curious about it, but he wouldn’t know what kind of power it provides until he collects the other four fragments. The thing was, he didn’t know anything about the conditions he needed to fulfill to get them.Since it was useless to him right now, he kicked all thoughts related to it to the back of his head before saying the keywords to extract a harmful amount of life force from Linda, but not enough for her to rapidly age and gain wrinkles and white hair.Finn nodded with a partially satisfied look on his face before he converted the enchantment on his hand back into the essence of life. The golden glow and the hexagonal tattoos on his hand vanished, turning into wisps of energy that seeped inside his palm.“So, where were we?” He turned to look at his surroundings with a look of wonderment on his face.“You actually hit her?” Many beta males were surprised to see that Finn slapped a beautiful woman hard on the face, and they couldn’t help but look at him in disbelief.Finn
Chapter 102
While the crowd booed Linda and cursed her for being a shameless bitch, Finn turned his face towards her, looking down at her in silence for a brief moment before revealing a sly, crafty, sadistic, foxy, and evil smile on his face.Linda looked at the expression on his face, then suddenly a realization hit her. From the very start, he wasn’t aiming to harm her physically! No! He never wanted to kill her! He was just playing with her mind, and she had foolishly succumbed to his words and ended up playing out the act he wrote for her. Yes, from the very start, she was merely acting out the script he prepared to destroy her life! For him, killing her was letting her off too easy! He wanted to destroy her mentally! He wanted to stomp all over her pride and crush her arrogance so badly that she won’t consider bothering others for the rest of her life. He wanted her to suffer so much that she would consider committing suicide as an alternative to escape the life that he has already destroye
Chapter 101
An instant after Finn said those words, Linda shouted at him, “Don’t kill me!”Finn shook his head, then said, “That’s not how a person beg.”“Please, please, don’t kill me! I beg of you, spare my life.” Linda desperately begged him to spare her life.Hearing her pleas, Finn grinned from ear to ear. “I would have spared your pathetic life only if you never aimed for my life. Now, however, you gotta say goodbye to this wonderful world and die.”Out of Linda’s eyes, tears streamed out, flowing down her cheeks and to each corner of her chin like a waterfall.“I hope you won’t be an ignorant person who picks a fight with a being that can determine their life and death in your next life if there is any life for a person like you,” Finn said before swinging the ball of obliteration at Linda. The eyes of most of the onlookers widened, and they stood up from their seats, finding it hard to believe that he seriously did that! Wasn’t it all supposed to be a joke that would end once Linda realiz
Chapter 100
Finn’s gaze swept past the participants on stage, giving them a warning that they will be eating the last cake of their life if they dared to make even a single move. The other participants didn’t dare to make a move as the ball in Finn’s hand could kill any one of them, and they didn’t want to attract his ire, after all. Although it was shameful for them to silently follow the command of a magician in the magical realm, their pride, arrogance, and shame meant nothing compared to their life. They weren’t willing to act out, just to lose their life as not only were they too young to die, but they believed that they would be able to teach Finn a lesson after the ball of obliteration leaves his side. After waning them, Finn moved his gaze to the target of his craziness. The targets of his black-gold gaze felt an overbearing pressure crashing down on their backs, and they felt horrified, suppressed, and intimidated to the point where their legs gave up.Linda and her friends collapsed to

“Hahaha! That’s what you get for angering me! My silver ball of obliteration isn’t like a bomb. It’s more like a torture device. You fool, you will feel it scorching your skin, shattering all of your bones, melting your veins and organs before you turn to dust! By the time the blinding silver shine dies, there will be no traces left of Finn in this world! Hahahaha!” Linda, the merciless and cruel lady, said while laughing at the top of her lungs. She already believed herself to be the winner. Victory is mine. These words filled her thoughts. There was no way a hillbilly was going to survive the attack of a princess like her, after all!Suddenly, all such thoughts in her mind came crashing down as the calm and taunting voice of the man she wanted to obliterate sounded out of the bright silver glow, reaching everyone’s ears, surprising Linda to the point her eyes widened so much that her eyeballs threatened to pop out of their sockets.“Oh, really? Then, why am I only feeling the need t
