Chapter 24 - Tom's Perspective

When I received the call about something urgent happening, I assumed it was a dangerous situation.

It turned out something significant occurred, but it wasn't perilous. A large crowd had gathered outside the company, preventing me from entering.

"Help us, please!" they shouted.

"We have heard a lot about you. Please assist us, please provide for us," another faction of them shouted.

Riley seems to have done something impactful for these people, given their familiarity with me.

I raised my hand for silence, and they quieted down.

Observing them, it was evident that they were impoverished and in need of accommodation. I suggested they choose a spokesperson. After some hesitation, an elderly man emerged from the crowd.

"Please, we need your help. The welfare house we were living in has been marked for redevelopment, leaving us homeless. We have nowhere to go, and we have been hearing about your high reputation. Please help us," he said, and others murmu
