The walk to the ward was tense, each step heavy with anticipation and the burden of the unknown. Upon entering the ward, the nurse left them alone, closing the door softly behind her.

Ryan approached the little girl's bedside with a reverence, as if stepping into a sacred space. Mrs. Sonya watched him, her heart caught between hope and fear. The little girl lay pale and still.
