Stalemate

The meeting with the president and Egyptians did not yield much besides providing to us with information of just how valuable my mother’s ring is. They are obviously not impressed when we turn down the offer, but they can’t force us.

The following day, the ring and its value is all over the news. I suspect it’s a strategy by the Egyptians to get us to sell. Keeping such a valuable possession is dangerous, I can’t even get an insurance company to insure it. Tanya still refuses for us to sell but she can’t wear it anymore now. Luckily, we have a secured glass exhibition area in our lounge where her miss universe crown is kept. We place it with the crown, the laser beams and our security system should be enough to keep it secured.
