*Jake POV*

Two days later, I get home to find Tanya standing in the garden appreciating the colorful flowers before her.

She gasps when I wrap my arms around her waist and plant a kiss on her neck.

“How’s the nausea?”

“Much better. Too expensive, but the medication works. I feel less tired and more alive now,” she confesses with a grin. She was against me buying the expensive medication the doctor recommended for the nausea because of its price. In the end I bought it without her consent.

“Good to hear,” I say as I go around and kneeling in front of her to have a word with my baby.

“Hey there little one. Did your mom feed you today?”

Tanya rolls her eyes and giggles. She sometimes skips meals to avoids being nauseous. That’s the reason I insisted on buying the ridiculously expensive medication.

“Can’t trust beauty pageants with this stuff, but daddy got your back, always.”
