Hilda returned her gaze to her husband when she realized that her attempt to take the plate of soup from him was not going to be fruitful. “Darrell? Tell him to give it back!” “That’s not going to happen,” Quin spoke out before the Prince could get to say even a word. “There must be a reason why you are so insistent on feeding the Queen, and I am going to find out.” Quin dropped the plate on one of the tables in the room.Hilda panicked. “Are you going to just stand there and watch him disrespect me?” She said to her husband. “Just let him do what he wants, Hilda.” Prince Darrell had already seen enough reason to trust Quin. Right from when he saw what he did with the salt, he was convinced that he was the only one who could save his mother’s life. “What did you just say, Darrell? Are you saying that you are picking sides with that fake Doctor over me?” Hilda asked with a disappointed tone, but the Prince was tired of speaking. “Just let him do his work, Hilda. I am going to show you that she was poisoned just like I said.” Quin grabbed a pinch of salt, and then he poured all of it on the cut on the Queen’s arm. There was a sudden reaction that made Prince Darrell’s eyes widen in disbelief. “What’s going on?” He asked, and Quin turned to him.“That’s the poison reacting to the salt, Prince Darrell. He was married to the daughter of the Mayor of Brightwood City, an arrangement that was made to strengthen the union between the two cities that had been at war for years. His wife Hilda was an epitome of beauty, but she lacked sympathy, and the only thing that mattered to her was authority and spending lavishly. The Prince’s mother doesn’t have much time left!” Frank’s voice sounded very urgent, but Quin had something that troubled him. “Are we going to get to the Palace with that many of those cars?”
