Anne and the rest of the people standing in the room had their eyes on both Quin and Micah, wondering what the Doctor wanted to say to him.

Quin was silent for a while, it was very obvious that what he wanted to say was not going to sound very good to Micah.

“What is it?” Micah was very curious to know what he had to say.

Quin cleared his throat, and after taking a glimpse at Micah’s wife and children, he proceeded to tell him what he had in mind.

“Your wife can no longer be able to bear more children. It will kill her. I need you to keep this in mind.”

Micah sighed, but the heavy burden from the news refused to let go of him.

“I knew this could happen, but I am very grateful to you, my friend. I am happy both of them are alive.”

“I am glad you have taken this in good faith. Make sure you heed my words, and call me if there is any need.” Quin patted Micah on his shoulder before he turned and left.

He met two soldiers dressed in their full uniforms waiting for him right in front of

Amber’s words caused Quin to be offended, but he managed to get a hold of himself. “Why is he not moving? What have you done to him?! You should have left him the way he was, now he is not breathing!” Amber’s tone was laced with so much arrogance, causing Quin to grunt. He could see that her father was breathing even though it was faintly. “I am not sure you can see that his body is no longer the way it was the last time you saw him.” He said with a smirk, taking a few steps forward.Amber looked at her father’s body, and even when she saw that his body was back to normal, she still didn’t seem satisfied. “Then why is he not moving?! She asked, wearing a tense look on her face. She returned her gaze to her father, and when she attempted to touch him, a voice inside her head warned her not to.Quin was disappointed. He turned to Nam and gave him a stern look. “I always knew this was a terrible idea.”Nam couldn’t look Quin in the eyes. He looked away almost immediately and turned to

Quin was getting very frustrated with the man’s behavior, but he didn’t blame him entirely. “Are you trying to kill me?” Mr. Winston asked, eyes still on the blade while he lifted both hands like he was ready to grab it. Quin sighed. “I am not trying to kill you, Mr. Winston. I am just trying to cut your body, that’s the only way I can be able to cure you.”It was hard for the man to trust Quin, but the pain inside his chest was intensifying, and he knew that it was only a matter of time before he could stop breathing. He took a deep breath and nodded reluctantly. “Alright. But be very careful.” He said, trying so hard to ignore the fact that his mind was at unrest.Quin looked at his face and saw that he had shut his eyes tightly. “Are you ready” He asked and the man nodded. Then he leaned downward and pierced into the man’s body with the sharp blade.Mr. Winston groaned and whimpered at the same time, clenching his fists tightly while his eyes remained closed. “We are almost th

At first, leaving her father alone with Quin seemed like a very impossible thing to do. But when she realized that it was not the time to listen to her instincts, she nodded in agreement. She walked up to her father with a plain expression. “Please be nice to the Doctor, Father.” She pleaded, knowing the kind of father she had.The middle-aged man nodded, and then she left.Quin turned to Nam. “You too.” He said, causing Nam to furrow his brows. But he had no choice but to leave. He couldn’t understand why Quin was telling him to leave as though he had an ulterior motive. At that moment, Quin was beginning to imagine so many things, especially why he seemed to be so concerned about the man.“There is something he is not telling me.” He whispered only to his hearing, and then he turned to the middle-aged man who had been staring at him since everyone left them alone.“Why did you ask them to leave?” He asked, feeling a bit tense while he kept his eyes on Quin.Quin scoffed. “I don’t t

Quin was convinced that Amber looked very familiar. He stared at her for a while, and when he realized that he couldn’t recall where he had seen that face, he decided not to pester. “Please, save my father.” Amber pleaded with tears in her eyes. It looked like she was ready to go down on her knees again, but Quin didn’t want her to.He sighed. “If I am going to help your father, then he has to work on his attitude. I have never met anyone as arrogant as he is.”“I am sorry about that, Doctor Quin. I will speak to him right away. Please don’t be offended.” Amber apologized again, but she couldn’t get her voice to stay stable. Quin turned to Nam. “I know the kind of disease that is, Mr. Nam. I will need you to get the things for his cure right away.”Nam nodded. “Whatever you need, I will make sure I get it for you.” He said confidently.Amber was so relieved when she heard that Quin knew the disease her father suffered from. “None of the other Doctors I have called have been able to

Quin quickened his step from the moment he began to hear the man’s voice as he struggled to call them to return. Nam didn’t bother to attempt to speak to Quin to change his mind. He seemed to be in a hurry to walk out of the house as well.Just as soon as they hurriedly stepped out of the house, a black car wheeled into the premises and parked next to the car they had come in. Almost immediately, a beautiful lady with black curly short hair alighted from the car and hurried to them. “Who among the two of you is Doctor Quin?” She asked desperately, but neither of the two men gave her any response. They both knew that she was related to the sick man, and they were convinced that she could be as arrogant as he was. They ignored her and continued moving toward the Rolls-Royce. The lady was confused. She followed them at once and was able to get ahead of them. “What’s going on? How is my father?!” She asked, causing Quin to turn to her.“That man in there is your father?” He asked a

CHAPTER HUNDRED AND SIXTY Nam hoped that the third door was going to be unlocked, and that they were going to meet someone in there. He watched as Quin moved to grab the handle, praying in silence. Just as he had hoped, the door was unlocked. Quin walked into the room without waiting for more than a second and he waited for a while before he went into the room himself. Neither of the two men had ever seen the middle-aged man lying on the sick bed. He looked older than his age, and from the look of his body, he suffered from a rare disease. A strong odor oozed from his body, causing Quin and Nam to cover their noses. As soon as the man heard the sound of footsteps, he forced himself to lift his head, and then he coughed. “Is that Doctor Quin?” He asked, his voice breaking with every word he said. Quin said nothing to the man. He had his eyes on the sores all over his body, trying to figure out what type of deadly illness that was. The sick man turned to Nam, seeing th
