"Help me, Sir! Save me! I don't want to be their plaything!"

With a pleading expression and tears that Dave himself wasn't sure were genuine, the woman tried to garner sympathy from Dave .

The men still holding onto the woman exchanged glances, seemingly communicating solely through eye contact.

The men in all-black suits felt genuinely puzzled, especially with the woman's accusatory words insinuating they were criminals.

The bewildered glances they exchanged led some of them to shake their heads slightly.

They were all certain that none of their words or intentions could have possibly provoked the woman in any way.

One of the taller men in black signaled for them to quickly pull the woman away and hurry off.

"Let go! Let go of me!"

The woman struggled.

Many of them tried hard to restrain her from breaking free.

"Stop! I said let go of me!" She continued to struggle.

"No, Miss Brianna. You must come with us. Hurry! Take Miss Brianna and get her into the car!"

Instructions from one of the taller men.

They hastened their movements, even though their numbers were far greater than Brianna, who was alone. Her strength still managed to overwhelm the bodyguards.

"Calm down, Miss Brianna. You must come with us!"

The men continued to drag Brianna, trying to get her to enter the Bugatti sports car.

As they drew closer, Brianna struggled more wildly.

"No! Let go of me!"

Brianna seemed possessed, screaming as loudly as possible, trying to attract Dave 's attention, who was still watching.

As much as possible, Brianna lifted her head backward, right where Dave stood, frozen, watching the woman.

Dave seemed torn, not knowing what else to do.

Until the piercing scream rang out, bringing full awareness to Dave .

"No!!!" Brianna pleaded, locking eyes with Dave .

"Please, help me! They will rape me!"

"Miss Brianna, please stop talking nonsense. We're just taking you back to the villa. We wouldn't dare to harm you," said one of the men in black, trying to reassure her.

Brianna shook her head vigorously.

"Don't believe him! They're just bluffing. They will defile me. Please! Save me!"

Seeing that, Dave suddenly felt an inner struggle. Fighting against his ego and his own disbelief in the words coming from Brianna's mouth.

He was confused, should he believe her heartfelt plea or just dismiss it?

"I beg you, Sir! I know you wouldn't want to see a woman being violated inhumanely. Save me. There's no one else I can plead to but you."

In the end, Dave managed to overcome himself.

Even though Dave clearly didn't believe the woman, for some reason, he still took the initiative to help her.

"Release the woman! If you want to take her away, then you'll have to defeat me first."

Dave challenged the four men busy holding onto Brianna.

His cold demeanor sent shivers through those around him.

One of the men in black, who seemed to be the head of the other bodyguards, spoke up.

"You have no business in this. It's better for you to leave, stop meddling in other people's affairs."

Dave ignored it, still in a challenging position, indicating his defiance against the bodyguards.

"I'm sorry, Sir. But you must know, we have no ill intentions towards this woman."

The man in black tried to speak kindly to him. "We're not villains like Miss Brianna claimed. We are bodyguards of Mr. Albert. We were sent to pick up his daughter, Miss Brianna."

Although the explanation had been given by the men in black.

However, Brianna certainly wouldn't let Dave be influenced so easily. She rebelled again, spinning tales that unfortunately managed to stir Dave to fight against the bodyguards.

"Help me, Sir! Look! He even dared to twist my wrist until it turned red. They will surely rape me."

Brianna sobbed.

This reignited anger within Dave .

"Stop with the pretense. It's better to release the woman now or settle this matter with violence. Come on, all of you!"

Dave challenged.

Reluctantly, they all had to follow Dave 's words.

One by one, they all started to advance.

Thunk! Thunk!

The loud thuds echoed through the street.

Even Dave was forced to fight against two bodyguards at once then. They managed to hit Dave 's stomach and face, but he quickly subdued his opponents.

"Pathetic! Is there a weak bodyguard who can't even protect his own employer?"

Dave spat near the last bodyguard who was also defeated.

A faint smirk appeared on Dave 's lips, where the corner of his mouth seemed to be bleeding and sore.

The man stood upright again, brushing off his clothes with a bit of dust on them.

"Damn!"

Dave muttered quietly, solely because of the woman, Dave was forced to sacrifice himself.

Dave should have just left the woman alone, but for some reason, his heart couldn't do it.

Dave approached the woman, a satisfied smile visible at the corner of his lips.

"Good job! I thought you would lose."

Brianna smiled happily, seeing the men who had tried to restrain her were now lying helpless.

"You owe me!"

A demanding and firm statement came from Dave 's mouth, instantly drawing Brianna's attention.

Her brow furrowed, seemingly refusing Dave 's words.

"Do you do everything expecting a reward? I could easily buy many people like you to protect me."

Dave grinned.

"Buying? Trashy men like the ones who are now lying unconscious over there, you mean?" Dave laughed wickedly. "Seems like you'd fit right in, joining as a circus clown."

Brianna widened her eyes, the man was now daring to belittle her.

Without saying a word, Dave then walked into the Bugatti sports car parked right next to the woman.

Thunk! The man immediately locked and closed the car window.

This immediately drew round eyes from Brianna.

"Hey! What are you doing?! Get out of my car! Don't you dare try to join me!"

Brianna knocked on her car window, but there was no response at all.

Damn it! Is Brianna going to be treated like a chauffeur by this man now? No! Brianna wouldn't stand for any of that.

"Hurry, open up! Fine. I'll allow you to join me under one condition."

Dave then lowered his car window.

"You'll be the one driving because I refuse to, if I have to be a chauffeur for someone like you."

Dave chuckled, mocking the woman's behavior.

Without getting out of his car, Dave immediately switched seats.

"Please, Miss Arrogant, get in."

Dave fastened his seat belt.

Still holding onto her emotions, Brianna got into the car, trying to control herself from erupting in front of the man.

"Ready to go, Miss?" Dave asked teasingly.

Until finally, after holding herself back for long enough.

A sentence managed to escape from the woman's mouth. "Alright, I'll make you my bodyguard, consider it as a reward for saving me."

There were bright red tomatoes, fresh green chilies, large purple eggplants, thick leafy water spinach, and many other plants that had been tended with care despite the simple conditions. At the far end of the garden, there was an area covered with thick creeping vines spreading across the ground. Mac stopped there, then crouched down, scraping away the vines with both hands, pushing aside the leaves and stems that were covering something beneath. Then, with all his strength, Mac heaved open a large wooden door hidden under the creeping plants. It was heavy, Mac let out a grunt as he lifted it."Please, Sir! Quickly, we need to hide down below right away!" Mac said in a rush, his v
